Really enjoyed this book. The pot twist had me on the end of my seat. Its been a while since I've read anything by this author and now I'm wondering why I waited so long. Highly recommended. Thank you Netgalley.

Good story. It keep had me guessing throughout.It was a real page turner that kept the tension from beginning to end and what a shocking ending it was would never had guessed. A very good story line and very likeable characters.

Verity was close to her father and is very close to her mother. When her mother goes on a date on the anniversary of her father's death - although it's been five years. Verity gets suspicious when she meets the boyfriend she still isn't convinced that he's the decent bloke he says he is. What is he hiding and what does he want with Verity’s mum.

This was definitely a heart pounding thriller which I highly recommend it will have you hooked and on the edge of your seat until the very end.

This is compounded by strange happenings around her mother - photographs turning up of the family, a postcard with a Polish name on it. It looks like Eleanor is hiding a secret - or two - or more, maybe. Verity's on the hunt for answers - but can she take the pain.

A really good, convoluted story.

The first half of this book was lighthearted, fun and I loved Verify and her two best friends. Her widowed mother now has her first boyfriend and Verify is a bit suspicious, he seems too good to be true. So she starts to delve a bit into his life.
The second part becomes much darker; it involves a monetary scam, secrets from the past, kidnapping and a very scary family bent on revenge. Excellent writing and ending! Definitely recommended!

Wow! This was an incredibly well-written tense thriller with a plot twist that took me by surprise, big time. The characters were relatable and well developed. Seymour's writing was superb. I will be reading more from this author for sure.

Great book! Wow! What a Crazy story! this book had it all! It had suspense, intrigue, action, murder, kidnapping, revenge, abuse, and some really crazy twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting and had me glued to my Kindle! I highly recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

This was an amazingly written suspensful / thriller with a plot twist that takes your breath away!

The Characters were well written and easy to get a long with and understand and have specific emotions towards each individually!

From start to finish this book had me hooked and questioning But Who? Why? How? What? When? and many other questions which were all wrapped up nicely by end of the plot!

I cannot wait to read more and reccomend many more of E.V Seymours work to my friends and family . Its nice to also have someone to be proud and honoureed of being a fellow Black country Girl Myself!

Heart pounding thriller that left me on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Definitely one of the best books this year.
