I Kill Killers is about a famous pianist that hunts down killers and an FBI agent that is determined to do the right thing. I really enjoyed the plot and the idea of a female killer instead of the typical male killer. The writing pulled me into the story and I was able to keep up with what was going on. The ending had a twist I didn’t see coming and it made the book jump from a 4 to a 5 star. I really hope the author is planning to turn this into a series. I was able to connect with the characters and I would love to see their stories continue.

This was an interesting book with characters that made you want to know more about them. On Goodreads it has a trigger warning because the book contains detailed descriptions of sex, torture, and murder, and boy that is true. There were some really gross, vivid murder scenes. The strange sex scenes were off-putting, it was more Leah's specific descriptions but I guess that was part of showing what a strange personality she had. I was planning on giving the book more stars but the ending threw me. With no spoilers I just didn't understand, who did it and why? I totally got everything and then the epilogue opened a bunch of questions for me. I'm wondering if it was to set it up for a second book in the series to come later.

Great book!! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one! Wow! What a book! Some fantastic crazy messed up characters! Lol this book had it all! It had high suspense, action packed, gruesome murders, serial killers, revenge, a sort of who done it, and some crazy twists and turns! The storyline was so very interesting and a bit crazy! It definitely kept me glued to my Kindle! I highly recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! I can't wait for more! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me! And thank you for introducing me to a great new to me author!

I REALLY enjoyed this book!! I really liked the first person pov for Leah & the third person pov for Liam. I was invested from the first chapter. I was not expecting that ending at all!! Great job & I hope there is a second book!

I couldn't put this book down. I read this in less than 24 hours. I would never guess that this was a first novel by a writer. I was totally wrapped up and intrigued right from the beginning. I loved the concept of the storyline and the double POV.

I loved the cat and mouse feel of the novel. And the ending blew me away. I also love that while there are strong details of murder, rape and kidnapping, there wasn't spice between the 2 main characters.

A killer of Killers! Gives you the feeling of a moral dilemma..... is it wrong not to hate the killer in this book?!

This would make a great movie, mini series, or start of a series. I can't wait to read the next book by this author. Wow!!

This is an electrifying heart pounding story that will stay with you long after you turn the last page. This is without a doubt one of the BEST books I’ve read this year. I look forward to reading more by this author. My fingers are crossed that there will be a book II of I Kill Killers in the near future.

Wow. I am speechless.
This was so thrilling! Absolutely brutal in the best way.

I love the character of Leah, and her being a famous pianist is a nice change from the usual.
Really graphic in parts but I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. The cat and mouse throughout was amazing, and kept me wanting more. This book Gripped me straight away. And one of the twists had my jaw dropped when I read it.
5/5 for everything!

I powered through this book. Very impressed by this Author, definitely an Author to watch. I could see this being made into a TV drama or movie easily. I’m really hopeful there will be a series following this book. It’s crying out for more. It doesn’t end on a cliffhanger so easily red as a stand alone.

If you love crime you’ll love this. The plot is great, a killer who kills serial killers. What’s the ethics around that? Is it okay to kill those who kill to rid the world of their evil? Or does that make you just as bad.? I read reviews that say this has gory kill scenes but it doesn’t really so don’t shy away. The first one is intense and graphic but if you’ve read crime you’ve probably read much worse.

The characters just pop, each one is very interesting and individual, even the outside players. Our two main characters I loved. I can’t give much away but the killer killing killers is intelligent and very unique for a crime novel. Throw in a tenacious FBI Agent from the famous BAU (Behavioural Analysis Unit) the very one set up to profile and find the worst killers. There are plenty of great twists and from the opening chapter I was pulled in as immediately the Author shows you that something different is in this book. Kudos S. T. Ashman.

Like all good crime books there are flawed and damaged characters. There are lies and deception and red herrings. Then there are the good guys and bad guys. There are the victims and the saviours. Then there are those that walk the tightrope between good and evil. There are a couple of short but steamy sex scenes that I though were written so well the Author might branch into Erotica at some point? Just kidding! I found them well done that’s all. They are few, short and not so sweet however, but there is no sickening instant love at first sight here.

Our determined FBI Agent sees the killings differently to others and despite indications that the case should be closed he refuses. I read this over a few hours and literally loved every page. It’s easy to read, not overly complex and as an avid crime reader I’m very impressed. Definitely watch this space for this Author.

Who is the killer who kills serial killers? That is the best part of the book. I’m not telling as it’s a major spoiler but the way the Author weaves double lives into the book is really well done and intriguing.

As someone with Autism I was keen to see how the Author would write about the one Autistic character but the Autism plays quite a minor part in the book. I did disagree with a highly stereotypical element of this character but it’s so minor it didn’t impact my enjoyment of the book. (I’d love to tell the Author what if I ever get to chat).

A thrilling read with some great scenes to rememberer and a book you can whizz through. If you are looking for something to break a reading drought this would fit the bill. This is definitely perfectly set up for at least a sequel and what I hope may be a whole series featuring the two main characters. It can be read as a standalone no problem but like me I’ll bet you want more.

The ending blew me away. Really well done! I found the writing really good, in particular the dialogue is done very well, so realistic and it flows like you are listening to real conversations. I could picture each scene like watching it on screen. I could also picture each character clearly too, both in appearance and personality.

I can’t recall reading anything in the last 12 months like this. Highly recommended if you like crime or books with a twisty psychological aspect, if you like both you’ll really love it. Five stars. I wish I had a sequel to jump straight into.

This book hooks you from the very first line! It’s a maze of twists and turns and is just impeccable. S.T. Ashman’s writing and storytelling is just perfect, I’m already anticipating the next release.

It has such an interesting and unique plot with excellent pacing which kept me super engaged throughout. It is incredibly emotional, raw and beautiful. I absolutely love this genre and this was no exception, i will definitely be reading more from this wonderful author

This might be the most disturbing book I have read all year, and I'm not mad about it. This started as a slower read because I had to put it down a few times WITH MY JAW DROPPED. The imagery and graphic detail were very well done, and I felt like I was reading an episode of Criminal Minds.

If you enjoy Criminal Minds, True Crime, or anything related to crime dramas, you will absolutely devour this book.

The story is told from two POVs: Leah, the pianist, and Special Agent Liam Richter of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU). Both POVs are well-written, and you get to know the characters. The supporting characters are also well-developed to fit the storyline.

The only thing I didn’t like about the multiple POV was sometimes it was hard to know who was talking. There are multiple chapters in a row from The Agent, and then Leah's chapters would come up, but I would read it as though it was Liam until I realized it was actually from Leah’s POV after a few pages. If the publisher is reading this, an example is Chapter 9… We come off of around six really good chapters of Liam, and when nine starts, it seems like it’s still him until they call Leah by name. That was the only “gripe” I had, but other than this, it was very well done and I can’t wait for pub day!

The comparisons of I Kill Killers to Dexter is accurate in it's basic sense, as far as it's about a serial killer who kills serial killers. This time, however, it's a female who's killing, which I absolutely love because females are crazy too! Take that as you will...
The way Leah is written also reminded me of Patrick Bateman from American Psycho and Alice Morgan from the show Luther. Basically it felt like there were lots of inspiration from other sources, but that wasn't necessarily a negative thing as Ashman really made the story work.
There is a twist at the end that I personally found was very predictable, however the writing holds up even if you figure it out and had me really involved to the end.
The writing is solid, the story pulls you in and keeps you engaged, and the very ending was one that I was actually wanting to have happen and was glad it did.
Overall, I think this is something that fans of thrillers are really going to enjoy a lot.

I Kill Killers was a gripping tale from the very first sentence to the very last word. The characters are rich and deep, each with a unique life style, personality and air about them. The main characters are marvelous (and my favourite happens to be the killer, I was charmed) the side characters are rememberable which is sometimes a hard feat to get in a book.

Overall I really enjoyed the entire story, the arc, the characters and the ending. I was left wanting more and more with each chapter and so devoured it rather quickly.

This book is a MUST for thriller/horror lovers alike. I am truly grateful I got to read it as an arc because I cant imagine having to wait any longer for this masterpiece.

An FBI agent gets too involved in a case when he suspects a world famous pianist of being a killer. But what exactly makes her the villain? A game of cat and mouse evolves when a serial killer is murdered in the gruesome way he killed his own, the only lead the fbi have is a mysterious girl in a red dress….
This book was captivating and interesting! I really enjoyed the two POV from different characters that made the story tie in together as well. Leah’s point of view always had me questioning just what really was going on. This book was enjoyable and the ending left me hanging!!! I’m thankful to NetGalley and Ashman Books publishers for letting me read this ARC.

The premise of this book was so intriguing and the story itself did not let me down!

I’m fascinated by books about people seeking their own justice against killers and serial killer murderer is just so interesting to me!

The story was told through multiple POV’s and was really suspenseful. Whilst you had an idea of where some of the story was going (for example, who was doing the killing), there were still plenty of surprised throughout the book.

I wasn’t expecting the ending either. No spoilers here! But it was a different ending to the usual sort of ending surrounding the FBI and their cases which I really liked too! Overall a really enjoyable read!

Summary of the plot:
In this book, we follow Leah, a prodigy piano-player and serial killer who killers other serial killers. When she kills her latest victim, she does so messy, linking her to the crime indirectly. When the FBI agents come knocking at her door, she has to find a way to get out of the situation. She also has a secret ink to another FBI agent who is feeding her information about the Train Track Killer, a serial killer known for tying his victims to a train track.

Thoughts on the book:
I really enjoyed this book. It's a fast moving mystery novel that is beautiful written and lyrical. I do wish that this book was longer though because it seemed like some areas could have used more pages, but otherwise it was a great read. There is no major or random plot twist at the end, so you're in luck if you hate those.

Leah Nachtnebel is a world famous pianist by day and a vigilante by night. She kills killers. When a man’s body is found tied to a tree in a remote area after being tortured and brutally murdered, FBI Agent Liam Richter is called to the scene. The crime scene was littered with drug paraphernalia and the dead man turns out to be a long-time serial killer. The case is deemed the work of a cartel and is quickly closed but something feels off. Liam just can’t let it go and keeps digging despite direct orders from his boss to move on. His hunt for the truth leads him to Leah and down a twisty path no one could see coming.

The premise of this book drew me in and I was so excited to get the opportunity to read it. It’s like a crossover of Dexter and Criminal Minds and is very reminiscent of the Mindf*ck series by S.T. Abby. I really loved every second of it!! You do have to let go of reality for much of the book but that’s part of the fun of reading thrillers, I think. This would have been a 5 star book for me if not for the ending although I think it’s probably just set up for a sequel. I may have loved it even more if I stopped prior to reading the epilogue. Things were tied up fairly well, the scene was set for the book to roll into a series and then the epilogue happened. I sat staring at the last page for a good few minutes trying to wrap my brain around what I had just read. After spending some time processing it, the epilogue really just feels like it came out of left field and was completely unnecessary.

This was phenomenal! I truly enjoyed reading this from start to finish. It was so hard to put down as each chapter had me wondering what was going to happen next and the ending! There are twists you won't expect, and it's just so good! The writing was beautifully done. The emotions and just the atmosphere of it all had me hooked.

Do we truly know someone just by looking at them? Perhaps we do, but more than don't. We hide things from everyone, no matter it small or big. Of course, this book is so much bigger than that. A woman that kills killers. Do you think that's right or wrong? What would you do if you found out something like this? Read this book with its twists and turns you won't expect!

Not many books leave me wanting to read them again, but this one certainly has. It certainly deserved my rating, and I hope others enjoy it as much as I did.
