Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an early copy of this book! Below is my honest review.

Summary of the plot:
In this book, we follow Leah, a prodigy piano-player and serial killer who killers other serial killers. When she kills her latest victim, she does so messy, linking her to the crime indirectly. When the FBI agents come knocking at her door, she has to find a way to get out of the situation. She also has a secret ink to another FBI agent who is feeding her information about the Train Track Killer, a serial killer known for tying his victims to a train track.

Thoughts on the book:
I really enjoyed this book. It's a fast moving mystery novel that is beautiful written and lyrical. I do wish that this book was longer though because it seemed like some areas could have used more pages, but otherwise it was a great read. There is no major or random plot twist at the end, so you're in luck if you hate those.

Leah Nachtnebel is a world famous pianist by day and a vigilante by night. She kills killers. When a man’s body is found tied to a tree in a remote area after being tortured and brutally murdered, FBI Agent Liam Richter is called to the scene. The crime scene was littered with drug paraphernalia and the dead man turns out to be a long-time serial killer. The case is deemed the work of a cartel and is quickly closed but something feels off. Liam just can’t let it go and keeps digging despite direct orders from his boss to move on. His hunt for the truth leads him to Leah and down a twisty path no one could see coming.

The premise of this book drew me in and I was so excited to get the opportunity to read it. It’s like a crossover of Dexter and Criminal Minds and is very reminiscent of the Mindf*ck series by S.T. Abby. I really loved every second of it!! You do have to let go of reality for much of the book but that’s part of the fun of reading thrillers, I think. This would have been a 5 star book for me if not for the ending although I think it’s probably just set up for a sequel. I may have loved it even more if I stopped prior to reading the epilogue. Things were tied up fairly well, the scene was set for the book to roll into a series and then the epilogue happened. I sat staring at the last page for a good few minutes trying to wrap my brain around what I had just read. After spending some time processing it, the epilogue really just feels like it came out of left field and was completely unnecessary.

Thank you to NetGalley, S.T. Ashman, and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you, S. T. Ashman and NetGalley for the ARC. I leave this review voluntarily and happily. Also, thank you publishers for your hard work!

This was phenomenal! I truly enjoyed reading this from start to finish. It was so hard to put down as each chapter had me wondering what was going to happen next and the ending! There are twists you won't expect, and it's just so good! The writing was beautifully done. The emotions and just the atmosphere of it all had me hooked.

Do we truly know someone just by looking at them? Perhaps we do, but more than don't. We hide things from everyone, no matter it small or big. Of course, this book is so much bigger than that. A woman that kills killers. Do you think that's right or wrong? What would you do if you found out something like this? Read this book with its twists and turns you won't expect!

Not many books leave me wanting to read them again, but this one certainly has. It certainly deserved my rating, and I hope others enjoy it as much as I did.

Wow!

Leah Nachtnebel, not a monster but the dark hero that kills them. The anti hero we’ve all been waiting for. Dark, mysterious, composed and ruthless vs Liam, FBI agent, determined, dedicated and disciplined.
Who will be victorious?

This gripping page turner keeps you guessing the whole way through and the last 10% is utterly jaw dropping.

Loved it!

Thank you to NetGalley and Ashman Books for my advanced copy. Will 100% read from this author again.

I LOVED this story! A bad ass main character, who kills serial killers, a tenacious FBI agent and a myriad of twists! The story was very fast paced and will leave you guessing as to what happens next. I was shocked, utterly shocked at one of the twists and the ending blew me away! The only problem is that I can't wait for the 2nd book! I need it nowwww! Highly recommend if you love vigilante revenge stories, with a clever, female main character and justice being served.

Thanks to Netgalley and Ashman books for letting me read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Ashman Books for the free e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Leah is a concert pianist by day and a sociopathic executioner of serial killers by night. She is on the spectrum, has a photographic memory and is a sauvaunt at everything she sets out to do. However, her most recent kill has put FBI agent, Liam, hot on her trail.

This is such a different criminal mystery! There is plenty of suspense, twists and turns. I also enjoyed the dynamic of Liam and Leah. They are both interesting characters. Looking forward to the next installment!

Highly recommend!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Ashman books for this ARC!

This may be one of my most favorite books of 2023. The different POVs mixed with varying degrees of psychoanalysis took my breath away. And right when you think you know the twist, BAM. The ending also blew me away. I did not see most of this coming.

I was lucky enough to get early access to this book thanks to netgalley. I did really enjoy this book it kept my attention and had me wanting more. The plot was a twist on your normal serial killer story the main character was intriguing. I would say though there were some parts I wished had flowed better and had a little more time spent on it. I rated it a 4 ⭐ cause I do believe it was a good read... Just a ps might want to proof read it once again as I did find misspelled words.

I Kill Killers by S.T. Ashman
Publishing Date - 10/10/23
Rating (4/5) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you Netgalley and Ashman Books for this eARC. This one draws you in from the very first line! The main character, Leah, is a sociopathic killer who hunts and brutalizes serial killers. Dexter fans will definitely like this one! The ending was a little confusing but I think the author is continuing the series so that may clear up some confusion. I recommend this one to psychological thriller readers and fans of Dexter!

I kill killers by S. T. Ashman was a rollercoaster to read, and I absolutely enjoyed it, the book is
beautiful written and brings new Ideas to the Genre.
I kill killers is a novel with two main perspectives.
Leah's and Liam's. Leah is a cunning and Cold Woman who excels as a pianist as well as a hunter of those who have committed heinous crimes, While Liam is an FBI agent whose moral Compass points only true north. These two people are playing a game of cat and mouse as Liam is desperate to connect Leah to the Lady in Red.
Overall, the book was well paced, and my only real criticism is that, in my opinion, Leah didn't really take centre stage and I wish her perspective was the main one with little bits of Liam peppered in there. I give, I kill killers a 4-star rating!

Leah is a world-famous pianist....and also a serial killer of serial killers. Liam is the FBI agent who is determined to catch her.
Leah's character is complex, cold, and calculating. She has no remorse for killing serial killers.
Liam is a dedicated FBI agent who is divorced with a daughter. He always wants to do the right thing.
This novel is well written and will keep you engaged, with a great ending.
I highly recommend this book if you like disturbing, serial killer novels!
I can definitely see this becoming a series and I can't wait for the sequel!

"I Kill Killers" by S.T. Ashman is a must-read. It is by far the best thriller novel I have read this year. The riveting story kept me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, and the spicy sex scenes kept me wanting more.

Leah Miller, a world-renowned pianist hailed as the second coming of Mozart, hides in plain sight as a killer of serial killers. Diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder with severe alexithymia, Leah could not feel intense emotions, which made her the perfect person to rid the world of the most gruesome serial killers. She is not only a musical genius, but she is always one step ahead of Law Enforcement with everything planned in exquisite detail.

Special Agent Liam Richter from the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, dedicated to profiling and investigating serial criminals, is one of the lead agents investigating a man butchered in the woods. With white powder and scattered syringes at the crime scene, it appeared to other agents that this was a drug-related crime belonging to the Violet Gang Unit. The FBI uncovered the identity of the murdered man as the "College Snatcher," a serial killer who snatched and killed multiple college girls. Special Agent Richter had a gut feeling that his death was not cartel-related and felt like the evidence did not add up. With his determination, dedication, and discipline, he continued to investigate the case even after the case was closed and was hot on the heels of discovering Leah Miller's true identity.

Black and white, right and wrong, and good and evil become blurred by Leah Miller, the enigma. "Was she the monster or just the villain who killed them"? This book was exciting and fun to read. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys suspense or true crime. Do not be surprised when you become reverent of a serial killer!

A remarkable debut novel! The characters are well-developed though not necessarily likeable. None of them are whom they appear to be. If you are looking for a thriller with a complex but believable plot surrounded by lots of action, this book is for you. I couldn’t put it down. This book grabs you from the first page and doesn’t give you a moments rest until the last page.

Thank you to NetGalley and Ashman Books who provided me with a copy of this book. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

As a big crime thriller reader there’s nothing I enjoy more than reading about Serial killers. As the title suggests I Kill Killers is about a serial killer who kills yes you guessed it serial killers! So there was no way I was going to miss out on reading this book. Did I mention the crime scenes are very gory, brutal and violent? Well they are! so this book is definitely not one for those of a nervous disposition.

Leah is a celebrated concert pianist who see’s herself as judge, jury and executioner of those who have committed the most awful crimes. Liam is the FBI agent who is determined to catch her. The rights and wrongs of Leah's actions are explored, is she a heroine or villain? What sets her apart from the killers she hunts? Leah is a complex character, she’s cold, calculating, methodical in her execution of her victims, has no lack of remorse for the crimes she commits, but she’s absolutely fascinating.

Ashman’s pacing is spot on and at no point does the suspense waver thanks to a gripping game of cat and mouse. I liked the fact the story feels original compared to other serial killer thrillers, and let’s be honest that’s something that’s hard to find in this genre. I Kill Killers has so many masterfully constructed twists and turns that kept me guessing util the very end which, by the way, I truly did not see coming. Prepare to be seriously disturbed. A deliciously dark serial killer thriller.

Whenever someone wants a recommendation for serial killer fiction (It happens more often then one would think!) I always suggest Chelsea Cain’s Archie Sheridan and Gretchen Lowell’s series. For many years, since Cain has stopped writing the series, I’ve been looking for another that I’ve enjoyed as much, and with I Kill Killers by S.T. Ashman, I think I’ve finally found it!

It’s been awhile since I was disturbed by a book, and the opening kill had me gasping and reading bits out loud to my husband. After the opening pulled me in, what continued was a perfect game of cat and mouse between BAU Special Agent Liam Richter and the killer, who always seems to be one step ahead.

Even though the opening murder was intense, the story doesn’t focus on gruesome murders, but gives the reader well developed characters and lots of action via short chapters told from different points of view. I Kill Killers will be a book you won’t want to put down, and when you get to the twists at the end, I hope you are as delighted as I was with how great they were, and how perfect it sets up the next book.

Looking forward to recommending I Kill Killers to everyone, and to book two in the series!

I found myself loving Leah pretty early on as she reminded me of my girl Lana Myers from The Mindfuck Series. This entire book reminded me of that series, and that’s a big compliment! A book about female serial killers always wins for me.

The writing in this book was amazing. The book is written as a dual POV, with Leah and the FBI agent Liam. Leah’s POV was written in 1st person and Liam’s in 3rd person. This difference made the whole book. Reading the POV of a serial killer in 1st person made it a lot more personal and I really felt like I was inside her head. This made me understand how her mind works and made me love her even more.

The pacing was perfect. I read the entire book in 1 sitting and I never once got bored and wanted a break from reading.

The only reason this wasn’t a 5 star read for me was the ending. I thought it was a little bit anticlimactic, but there’s gonna be a sequel so I’m crossing my fingers it’s gonna make me change my mind about the ending!

If you love The Mindfuck Series like I do, you'll probably enjoy this book!

I will be posting my review on my Instagram and tiktok under the handle @norwegian_bookshelf

In a world where injustice is rife, I honestly admired the anti-hero in this book. Leah may be a killer, but she kills monsters who don’t deserve to live.

This book had me at the get-go. As a fan of Criminal Minds and Hannibal, it gave me both the perspective of the person who kills and who wants to catch that killer. For me, that’s enough to make me read every page with eagerness. But the surprises in this book made it more of a page-turner and the ending makes me want to read more.

If you are looking for a crime and suspense thriller, this is the book you shouldn’t miss. No bullshit. It is a damn great read.

Absolutely fantastic! I could not put this book down. If you are looking for a good thriller that keeps you guessing from beginning to end then I suggest you read this.

The characters, storyline and writing style are superb. The only negative I have is that I have to wait for the second book!

Thank you NetGalley and S.T. Ashman for the chance to read this ARC for my honest review. I can’t wait for more!

Leah is a world-renowned pianist, but she has never felt emotions like others. People fly from all over the world to see her perform, but she feels nothing. Leah is also a killer who seeks out and murders bad people of the world. After her latest killing, she finds herself under the microscope of a tenacious FBI Agent. No matter when she does, he won’t let up. Can Leah pull off her biggest crime yet? Or will she finally be caught after all these years?
Okay, wow, I am still recovering from the mastery that is this book. I can confidently say that this is the best thriller that I have read all year. It is so good! I loved all the characters, and Leah was a real gem. Just such a great character. The writing was well done and kept me interested and engaged the entire time. The twists were shocking and not overwhelming, and they were great. They fit perfectly with the story, and the build up and anticipation were great. The pacing was also wonderful. I loved the incorporation of more current events into the story, it was really fun and made the book relatable. Be aware that there is a little gore towards the beginning of the book, and some sensitive topics were covered. I didn’t realize that this one was going to be a series but sign me up! I cannot wait to get more of these characters and the writing.

If you want a thriller that you will be thinking about for a long time, then check this one out! It’s just so good.
