Ruby is more than a book of passion, it is a story of two people who meet and change each others lives in a manner that will make your blood thrum in the most delicious of ways.
Dani and Prejean meet when she is kicked out of his restaurant, not exactly a great way to meet a potential lover. An easy fact to overlook, or to Prejean part of the reason he is drawn to Dani. They begin their fiery affair knowing very little about each other, playing it safe. Only safe is for vanilla lovers and before these two know it, emotions are entwined and dreams are on the line.
This is a short read, one you will breeze through and be looking for more. So instead of summarizing the plot, which you can get from the blurb, I will tell you about Kennedy’s amazing writing.
A talented author makes you forget you are reading about fictional characters. They make you feel the emotions as the characters feel them. Elation, pain, loss. Kennedy has mastered that art by introducing you to two people that seem to have their lives together yet still have flaws and needs that only the right person can fit. Even beyond the characters, Ruby brings New Orleans to you...even if only for an hour or two. (how fast of a reader are you?) The smell and taste of the food, the people and the sounds are all there to help pull you into Kennedy’s story making it complete.
If you have never tried an erotic BDSM before, Ruby is a great place to start. Short, hot, and well written. Perfect for a hot summer night!
