This novel is more love story than thriller. It's quite nice but it's also a fairy tale of the rich and thus not very relatable.

4.5 Stars! Interesting and exciting book. This is book 4 in the ‘Pressley-Coombes’ series & can be read as a standalone. I didn’t realize this was a Christian romance at first, so no sexy times, this is a clean romance, and some talk of God and praying. This was a romantic suspense, filled with intrigue, angst, action and ending in an HEA. The main characters, Isla & Ben, were very likable and the bad guy was easy to hate. I feel like the book had a lot going on but it was so interesting, it wasn’t difficult to follow and it didn’t feel overly informative. Definitely worth reading. I highly recommend.

Isla Montjoy has had to hide herself and her secrets from a man who will stop at nothing to get her back. She has finally been able to settle in an obscure town in Scotland where she hopes to be invisible and avoid detection.

Ben Pressley-Coombes and his father end up lost in the same place where Isla is living and the funny incident when he meets her is one (un)cute meet I will never forget. Ben and Isla are great together. Ben needs to lighten up and realize he can’t take everyone’s burdens on himself. Isa helps him to see that. Ben is a wonderful confidant and helps Isla see she can trust again.

The likable characters, the exciting plot, the suspenseful events, and the faith of the characters that is subtly woven throughout the book make this a five star read. I recommend you read this and the other books in the Pressley-Coombes Romantic Suspense series.

I was given a copy of this book by the publisher through NetGalley. A positive review was not expected. All opinions are my own.

Skye Fall by Paige Edwards is a Pressley-Coombes Romantic Suspense novel. Isla’s life as a nurse is quickly toppled upside down when she witnesses a crime. She goes into hiding to protect her family until the killer finds her. This was an interesting book. The book deals quite a bit with trauma and overcoming it. Overall, it was an interesting book, one full of hope. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

Okay, so I absolutely loved this book! I did not want to put it down, it was just so good! Skye Fall is the fourth book in Pagie Edward’s Pressley-Coombes series. This series has been fun to read and I was excited to finally read Ben’s book.
Isla was such an interesting character. She was on the run for her life and she was continuously looking over her shoulder. She did not trust easily and she was just trying to survive life. However Ben and his father, Richard turned her life upside down right at the perfect moment. Isla had to learn to trust Ben and to put aside her fears. It was sweet to see her connecting with Ben and learning to live again .
Ben was just a lovely character. I adored him. He tried to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders. It was cool to finally get to know Ben. It was also fun to read about Ben interacting with Isla. He did not like her at first but she found a way into his heart. Ben had to learn how to care for Isla and figure out how to protect her.
Ben and Isla were cute together. They were both carrying a lot of burdens and they had to figure out how to deal with them. The plot was also engaging and I did not know how they were going to protect Isla and deal with the thing’s happening to Ben. The side characters were fun and I loved seeing bits of the siblings again. Richard was wonderful and his interactions were a lot of fun.
Skye Fall is a wonderful book and a must read! I would definitely recommend it. Skye Fall is a clean suspense.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.

"Skye Fall" is a Christian romantic suspense novel. Isla tried to make a life for herself while hiding from her corrupt ex-boyfriend, but he kept hunting her to kill her. Ben's father had an accident right after Ben learned that an employee embezzled all of their business' money. Ben had to juggle all of these concerns after his father hired Isla as his homecare nurse so she could hide in the USA for a while.

The main characters were likable and reacted realistically to events. The suspense came from Isla being repeatedly attacked by her ex-boyfriend, several health emergencies, and the tension of trying to save Ben's business. Ben loved Isla's art, wanted to protect her, and decided this meant that she was the one. Isla liked that he was considerate and that she didn't feel threatened by him. However, she still had flashbacks to her ex-boyfriend knifing her when holding her, so she had trouble letting Ben hold her. She felt like she'd never get better despite all of her counselling and that Ben deserved a woman who wasn't so broken.

Isla didn't feel like God was even listening to her prayers anymore. Ben told Isla how God had been an important part of his own healing journey. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this enjoyable story.

I enjoyed the first few chapters of this book, but slowly lost interest after that. I’m not sure why. Maybe because the dialogue sounded a bit stiff to me? Or because of the way the plot develops?

I did appreciate the Christian elements (though they are not a major part of the story) and I liked that the characters pray..

3 stars.

This one will keep you in suspense! I really enjoyed getting more time with the Presley-Coombes family. It takes you into Europe and details some beautiful places I'd love to see in real life. Can they figure out how to put the pieces of the puzzle together before lives are lost?!

Isla Montjoy goes to her boyfriends house to surprise him with a fancy cake only to be horrified to find that she has walked in to discover her boyfriend , other police officers and a judge are all corrupt . They attempt to kill her . The story continues some time later as she has created a new identity running away from the evil men who would kill her ….if they could only find her .

In to this story comes Ben . Ben has his own troubles when he find out his family friend had swindled his father and his family business and they are bankrupt . His father and him are on a life time vacation when his father falls and is severely injured . Isla is hired to be their private nurse . And so the journey begins .

Ben has been told his whole life that when members of his family fall in love it is binding , and lasts for forever . He always doubted that would happen for him until he falls madly in love with Isla.

This book is full of intrigue , deception , facing fears and doubts and love .

I felt like the majority of the book kept my interest and had a beautiful love story.. I would have liked the end of the book to be a little longer and not have wrapped up all the ends so quickly I think this would have added to the story. .

Thank you to Netgalley for a free copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

Skye Fall by Paige Edwards is a 5 star read for me.
Isla is on the run. She’s trying to protect her family, stay alive, and find a way to thrive in her lonely circumstances. I love that she is a nurse as it leads perfectly into her connection with Ben and his family.
Ben carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. He thought he had enough to handle until he met Isla. He is drawn to her, she needs protection, and she conveniently fits right into their family. Richard is a purely delightful father who adds the perfect balance to these characters.
Shay is not about to let Isla get away and is willing to chase her down, at all costs.
The story is riveting, the settings are beautiful, the pace is steady, the action is intense, and the romance is sweet. I loved everything about this book!
I received a complimentary copy from the author and all opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.

Another good addition to the Presley-Coombs family series. This book was fun going back and forth across the pond. It was nice to have more of the dad of the family in this book. Definitely helps to have read all of the books in order.

“…Fear consumes the soul, and destroys every human interaction…” ~ Isla

My first Paige Edwards book and I can’t believe how much I have been missing out on! This book was spectacular. Fast paced, full of suspense, with characters who embraced their faith and family.

This book is an enemies to more, he saves and protects her, marriage of convenience with a fragile love story and an eye popping grand gesture. A woman running from her past, to spare those she loves from harm. A man carrying the weight of the world, trying to save his family’s legacy. Two unlikely strong, selfless people brought together by Providence. We see them deal with their preconceived notions of one another (from a disastrous meet-not-cute), fear, abuse, betrayal, and how surrendering all to God helps to heal our hearts and souls and build trust so that we can move forward with our lives.

This is book 4 of the Pressley-Coombs series. I have not read the others and had no trouble picking this one up. It can be read as a standalone. But I promise you, I’ll be going back and reading about the rest of the family very soon.

A wonderful, clean, Christian Romantic suspense that doesn’t shy away from true faith or prayer or belief.

Thank you to NetGalley for my advanced copy, all opinions are my own.

Wow! What a phenomenal book.
I absolutely loved this book. I was totally into it by the end of the first chapter and then became more engrossed with each succeeding chapter. This book is the story of Isla who entered her boyfriend’s apartment unannounced and found things she definitely did not expect, then only to be threatened, attacked, and left under a bridge by that boyfriend. Now she is in hiding, running from town to town as her ex-boyfriends tries to locate her and finish the job of eliminating her. In her job as a nurse, she meets Richard, a victim of a mountain climbing accident, and his son, Ben. As Richard is healing under Isla’s care, Ben is struggling with the discovery that there has been some major embezzlement taking place in his father’s company. When circumstances align and Richard offers her a job in the States helping with his recovery, she agrees hoping for safety but with her ex being a police officer with all of the power of the police, the embezzlement, Ben being all she ever could want, and the trauma from all she has endured things are not smooth in any way shape or form. An absolutely wonderful read. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the copy. This is my review and all thoughts are my own.

SKYE FALL by PAIGE EDWARDS is a beautifully written romantic novel based on a strong Christian message of redemption. Dealing with abuse, police corruption, politics and terrorism, as contrasted with the sacrificial love of family and those in need, the story is most inspirational. I was hooked from the befginning and could not put this lovely and exciting book down! The author has not only painted beautiul scenes, mainly of the Scottish countryside, but she has taken us through her charaters’ very real fears and struggles ….
I like to see the British nobility portrayed as normal people, the love Ben has for his father and siblings, and the love Isla has for her family by keeping away so that they are not attacked by Shay and his cohorts. Ben’s caring and unselfish character is a portrait of a real man who knows who he is in Christ…..
I was really moved by this book and cannot recommend it highly enough.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Covenant Communications. The opinios in this review are completely my own.

A gripping story that has many unexpected twists and turns. Knowing God will find a way in 5end is an encouragement for all readers, and exciting to see how God will do that personally.

This book is fast paced from the first page. Poor Ben seemed to carry the burden of the family and business on his shoulders. He was also the only sibling not married so he carried the burden alone. I enjoyed the relationship he had with his twin brother. Their joking around was fun. Isla also tried to take the burden of keeping her family safe by staying away from them in her years of hiding from Shay and the Justice Seekers. I really enjoyed reading this book and would highly recommend it.
