Such a cute rom-com! I don't typically love kids in the middle of romance novels, but I did in this novel. I felt like it was done well, the writing flowed, and the characters worked well together.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Thank you NetGalley!

REVIEW✨
Hannah Tate, Beyond Repair
By Laura Piper Lee

I love a good single mother romance especially when they move to a small town and have a crush on the neighbour! This book hit the spot! It was so refreshing and it felt like a story I haven’t read before. I thought that the writing was amazing, absolutely perfect in trying to convey the personality type of Hannah! I knew exactly what Hannah was feeling, her goals, and her as a person within the first chapter of this book! I don’t think I have ever really felt that with a book! The plot was well paced, the character dynamics was great, the male lead was drool worthy, the characters developed wonderfully, the side characters were so funny and added to the story, and I loved Hannah and her friends. This novel touches on great family dynamics and graining strength of self-worth.

This is a lovely, sweet, small town romance that is sure to warm your heart along with a hot beverage. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to read a beautiful story about falling in love with yourself, while also learning to trust and love someone else.

Hannah Tate finds her self in a place she had hoped she would never have to be in! Dumped by her baby daddy when her baby (Bowie) is only 6 months old she returns to live with her mom and step-dad in the mountains of Blue Ridge, Georgia. When Hannah realizes that her parents’ cabin has the potential for Air bnb in the lower half, she wants to help them with the renovation. When sparks fly with the hot carpenter/guy (River) living next door in a tree house, she can’t help but notice that he looks at her as a powerful woman, not a hot mess. She’s never felt this comfortable with someone before, but she always pictured the perfect family with having a family with her baby daddy! But maybe it’s time that she starts living life on her own terms and put herself first!

I absolutely DEVOURED this book and a little sidenote; I AM HANNAH TATE! lol. I related so much to her and also felt so much for this poor girl, because she went through it. A brand-new mom, who ended up, not engaged like she thought she'd be, and even worse.... broken up with and left, fired from her job, and ends up having to move back in with her parents.... YIKES!

She's left to conquer this scary world alone...well without her baby daddy anyways, because her friend group is EVERYTHING! Just like the banter and sarcasm in this book is also EVERYTHING. I love a book with plenty of great banter, and this one met my criteria so much that I found myself LAUGHING OUT LOUD, way more times than I'd like to vocally admit....

BUT... don't get too sad for her, because everything happens for a reason. Not ONLY did Hannah discover her true self; but Hannahs other reason just so happened to be a soft, bearded, mountain man...

Which leads us to the spicy parts of the book, as well as the only thing I'd change in this book. i just wanted more X-rated; told in detail, spice. But i digress, my spice meter might be a little unhinged, via the books I am use to reading... With that being said I'd give it 2 Chile peppers, for my spicy gals. But I am here to tell you that if you don't need the spice to enjoy a book; you could take away the spice entirely, and the story is still completely worth the read.

Overall, it's definitely not your next fairytale read, but it is a heartwarming, fun, hilarious, quick, and easy read; that i will be buying in a physical format as soon as it is released.

Thank you so much Laura Lee Piper, Berkley Publishing Group, and Net galley, for my ARC, in return for my review. Everything stated in this review is true and my personal opinion.

as always,
HAPPY READING! 📚✌️

I absolutely loved this book. From the jump, I connected with Hannah, our FMC. She's vibrant and witty. Laura Lee immediately goes for the jugular and rips your heart from your body if you feel for Hannah like I did. But, like with most things, it happens for a reason.

This book is the quintessential, "good things fall apart, so that better things can fall in to place," book. I looove single parent romances. They're usually a feel good moment that sometimes, I just really need. But let's get specific. This book has all the wit, it has laugh-out-loud moments, it has a phenomenal friend group that is both supportive and sometimes needs support themselves. The family dynamic in the book is complex and beautiful, and Laura Lee's story flow's seamlessly from page one. Our FMC is determined to build a better life for herself and her adorable little boy, and our MMC lifts her up and helps her achieve her goals. And we absolutely stan a man that steps in and steps up, right?

Finally, the spice. That's what most of my smutty queens are interested in, right? I give this a solid 2.5 peppers. It's not fade to black, but it isn't going to get your religious mother to smack you in the head. It's definitely a happy medium for those who like more plot than spice.

Whether you're only there for the plot, or the spice, this book is a fantastic read. With Hannah Tate, Beyond Repair, Laura Piper Lee became a one-click read for me.

Thank you to Laura Piper Lee, Berkley Publishing Group and NetGalley for allowing me to receive this eARC. I received an eARC for free, but all thoughts are my own

I loved this book! I devoured it in only a few sittings and wish there was more to read. The story line was paced very well and the characters were easy to love!

Hannah Tate, Beyond Repair is a quick, fun easy read about a new mum coming out of a bad relationship and job who starts to find herself again and a new love interest on the way - set against the stunning backdrop of the mountains of Blue Ridge, Georgia. The plot development is in no way surprising but that didn’t stop me reading - fans of Virgin River will also enjoy this. It feels at times like there is a lot of box ticking in terms of diversity and representation in the characters e.g. we are told several times that Hannah is bi but not one shown any evidence of her interest in anyone other than men, so it doesn’t feel very authentic but at the same time better this way than no diverse representation at all. Overall, this is an enjoyable, easy read that is perfect for the winter months - thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.

Gosh the prose in this book - witty, sharp, sarcastic. it just sucks you in and just lends to the most enjoyable reading experience. This book is messy in the best way, because life is messy. You realize your parents are mere mortals, that life may not be a perfect fairytale, but also you're capable of much more than you give yourself credit for and maybe the guy on paper might not be perfect for you really is.

This was a gorgeous look at being a single mother. Hannah Tate thinks she has her entire life figured out and then ends up not engaged, broken up, fired, and moving back home. I just adored Hannah and her story navigating shifting from not just taking care of everyone around her but also taking care of herself and getting what she wants out of life. I loved the parallel of fixing up her parents basement. The secondary characters in this book are just chef's kiss (we all need a Big Daddy). The queer rep, gosh if you can't tell I adored this one.

And of course there's River. Big bearded mountain man, who's just soft on Hannah's son and her. I loved how he advocated and helped Hannah rather than trying to come in and save her. This was such a beautiful look at family (found and blood), home, and trusting in love. Just a gorgeous book and I cannot wait to see what Laura writes next.

This was a cutesy romantic story, very sweet and the perfect weekend or holiday read. It was fun and well written.

I found this story to be so heartwarming and relatable. Hannah does not have her shit together and it was such a ride to read her story. I found the prose to be very tender and real, and I like how this was less a love story and more of a journey for Hannah’s life overall. Very cute and I’m glad I read it!

I thought that I would like this story more than I did. The story line was good even though predictable but some things just seemed creepy or weird. The characters are very diverse and well described but they seem too diverse to believe that they would have anything in common. I also found it creepy that the stepfather wanted to be called Big Daddy. I didn’t really like any of the characters. I did like the writing style and voice of the author and the humor.

With 31 chapters in total, "Hannah Tate Beyond Repair" takes us on a journey following Hannah, a woman who, after a long-term relationship, expects to get married to Killian, the father of her child. However, to her astonishment, Killian doesn't propose; instead, he decides to break up. In a state of shock, Hannah makes the bold decision to move to a small town with her baby. This marks the beginning of a new chapter in her life.

The story primarily revolves around Hannah's quest for stability in her life as a single mother in this new, quaint town. It's about her attempts to rebuild her life and find her own path. The narrative allows us to closely follow Hannah's character development as she navigates the challenges that come her way.

One of the highlights of the story is the captivating cast of supporting characters who add a lot of charm to the narrative. They bring depth and a sense of community to Hannah's life, making her journey all the more engaging.

The story is well-crafted and flows smoothly, making it an enjoyable read. It beautifully captures the essence of Hannah's journey, her struggles, and her growth as a person.

I also appreciate the book's cover, which I find utterly charming and appealing. It complements the story's themes and adds an inviting visual element to the overall reading experience.

Hannah Tate is a woman who is blindsided by her boyfriend's decision to break up with her instead of proposing.
Heartbroken and angry, Hannah decided to move back in with her parents in Blue Ridge, Georgia, taking her baby son Bowie with her.
While staying at her parents' cabin, Hannah realizes that the property has the potential to be a lucrative vacation rental.
However, the cabin is in desperate need of renovation and the decor is less than appealing.
Determined to turn the cabin into a profitable business venture, Hannah hires River, a carpenter who lives in a nearby treehouse, to help with the renovations.
With River's support, Hannah starts to live life on her own terms and embraces the possibility of a new beginning.
This was a heartwarming and uplifting story about love, resilience, and finding oneself.
The Author did a great job of creating relatable and likable characters, in particular Hannah, who is a strong and determined woman.
The chemistry between Hannah and River is palpable, and their romance is both sweet and steamy.
Overall, it was a delightful contemporary romance novel that left me feeling warm and fuzzy inside.

𝘏𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘢𝘩 𝘛𝘢𝘵𝘦, 𝘉𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘳 follows a recently single mother on track to figure out her life with a new baby in tow and a hopeful relationship in the horizon.

This is unfortunately not my ammo in books. It was categorised as a romance but the romance was more of a sub-trope and it majorly focused on growth and figuring life out dynamics which is usually a good feature in books but the way it was carried out here - as in, everything and everyone in Hannah's life just seemed awful led to the plotline being a bit faulty. A grumpy queen I can handle but the woe is me and see how bad everything is going for me is too much personally.

This is a tender, but slightly stale romance about Hannah Tate, a new mother who is fired by an abusive boss and dumped by her selfish boyfriend shortly after giving birth. She moves to the Blue Ridge Mountains in Georgia, to help her parents renovate a cabin and meets River, a carpenter who lives life on his owns terms - in a tree house, off the grid. It is a story that examines how we achieve personal growth, change for eachother, and create new types of family units.

Unfortunately it fell flat for me, trying to do too much at times and thereby losing focus. I had a hard time understanding how Hannah's bisexuality had any bearing on the story at hand, how Hannah jumped from one relationship to the next (which largy felt more physical than emotional initially), and how River's character grew and matured so that he became ready to change his behaviour. The story did not do justice to the character development required.

Thank you Union Square and Co and Netgalley for the ARC.

This was a suck quick read, though I’ll admit the writing style just wasn’t for me.

I enjoyed the characters and the love interest and the setting was a super fun twist to thw story!

Over all it was a decent read and I can see why others would love this one!

*A huge thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for providing me with this e-arc

The beginning of this book had me shook!! Killian can just go away. We won't even speak about him anymore.

I loved how Hannah took her life and decided on a path. It took a little while because of course she hit some bumps in the road but where she ended up had me smiling!

River, was surprising. He for sure had some commitment issues but Hannah and Bowie meant more to him than what happened in the past.

This is slow burn but so worth it.

Can Hannah embrace a future that looks different from the picture-perfect family she once dreamed of . . . and maybe start living life on her own terms?

This story was everything I hoped it would be and so much more. Once I started reading it, I pretty much gobbled it down in a single sitting, glued to the pages and the feel-good vibe of the story, and I still catch myself smiling every time I think of these characters. A delightful, fun read start to finish that I recommend wholeheartedly.

I thought there was a lot of unnecessary internal monologue from Hannah that made me have to re-read pages of the book in order to understand what was going on. I like the characters themselves and how real it creates being a Mum (not some fantasy ‘my baby doesn’t cry’ crap).

Hannah Tate, Beyond Repair is a small town romance about a woman rebuilding her life and learning to find the beauty in a little messiness.

Hannah Tate: new mom, southern gal, awkward bisexual, pinning her dreams on an asshole baby daddy because she wants her son to have the stability she didn’t as a child.

When Hannah’s boyfriend and the father of her child dumps her, she packs herself and her 10 week old up to move in with her mom and step-dad in small town Georgia. Renovating the creepy downstairs apartment into a beautiful Airbnb becomes her new project— luckily, the hot neighbor who happens to life in a tiny home treehouse, is a fantastic carpenter who’s up for the job.

River Aronson: goofy, ex-corporate, treehouse-living, solitude-loving southern boy/hippie.

River and Hannah have immediate chemistry, but is she ready for a new relationship? Can River give her what she needs?

I really enjoyed this book! The characters had depth, with their fears, quirks, and strength rounding them out. It’s also a southern small town romance where BIPOC and queer people actually exist, which was a very pleasant surprise! Being a new mom was such a big part of Hannah’s character. If you’re not a baby person this may not be for you, because Hannah is totally in love with her baby. I enjoyed that aspect though, and felt it made the story unique, as we don’t often see romances featuring new moms. River was easy to root for as a love interest, despite his quirks.

We follow Hannah navigating her relationship with her mom and stepdad, and dealing with some resentment from all the times she bailed them out instead of the other way around. She also learns to identify her needs in a relationship, although I think this could have been expanded on more in a powerful way.
