NEW LEASH ON LIFE by KATHLEEN Y’BARBO is the sixth book in the Gone to the Dogs series. It is a delightful and exciting read as we follow Nora Hernandez and Dr Lane Bishop’s four year old romance that seems to be going nowhere slowly, and the beautiful army trained Malinois, Pal, who lands in their lives and is my favourite character.
When Nora buys the antique store next to her restaurant, not only is there a cyclone but there is an explosion upstairs in her new property…..
I am not going to tell you any more for fear of spoiling things for you.
There are lovely family scenes and the employees from the Lone Star Vet Clinic play a big part in the story.
The author describes the characters’ emotions, their secrets, and the reasons for their behaviour. There is also a low key Christian message.
I really enjoyed the novel and recommend it to anyone who loves animals and enjoys a good romance with some intrigue and suspense.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Barbour Publishing. The opinions in this review are completely my own.

New Leash on Life by Kathleen Y’Barbo has romance, a Belgian Malinois MWD, a restaurant and several mysteries that will keep you entertained and guessing at who the culprit is. It’s clean and sweet and easy to read. Give this a try if you like dogs.
I dont’t know if the files/description are messed up, but in the copy I’ve received the story is about Lane Bishop, DVM and Nora Hernandez and a BelMal named Pal, which is a really silly and dull name for a dog. In NetGalley’s description, it’s about Becky Keller and Sam Granger’s.
