I love, love, Love this book! WELLNESS WITCHERY by Laurel Woodward is an outstanding kitchen witchery book. There are some great recipes for: essential oils, teas, baths, magical formulas, and food. It covers different plants flowers, herbs, and how the relate to spells and health. There are lots of spells! This book is what witchcraft is all about, such as positivity, and mindfulness. In magic intention is everything. If you only get One book on magic this is the one.

I cannot wait to buy a hard copy of this book. It's full of so many good recipes and techniques for making oils and tinctures. I love all of the information throughout the whole book. Everything is explained very well, very beginner friendly but perfect for somebody who knows their stuff already. Highly recommend.

This book is beautifully written.
Such an informative book that’s laid out to make reading and understanding easy. I especially enjoyed all of the directions on how to whip up concoctions and then she suggests how you should enjoy them.
For instance “ When the tea is ready to drink, pour some into your mug and settle comfortably. Let your mind quiet so that there is only you and tea. Take a deep breath as you breathe in the scent of the tea.”
That is not something you generally see in a book with recipes and I loved it.

I will be keeping this book handy for future use and already have a few people that I’ll be gifting it to once it’s release.

This was a really interesting concept.
There was tons of information in here, and with lots of varying approaches.
Because of the beautiful cover, I was expecting lots of colourful and beautiful illustrations inside - however that wasn't the case. I would have preferred a more visual approach to the info at times.

Interesting read, if a little overwhelming at times.

Love love this book. This has lots of recipes for plant based concoctions of all sorts for any ailment or issue you can think of. This has links to sources where they are relevant and not at the end of the book like most places list them. It was easy to read and comprehend.

Really solid resource for beginner witches.

I like how the second section is broken down based on emotion, and then within each are recipes, rituals, teas, spells, etc that can be used. The variety of options will be nice for a new witch who can find ways to incorporate magic into already existing practices (like adding spelled positivity ice cubes to tea or add aromatherapy to a meditation practice).

The author discusses finding a plant ally and communicating with it to bring intention into your magical work. This book includes meditations, spellwork, recipes, and specific mood-enhancing incantations that lend a softness to this book. I would recommend this read.

This book was so educational as far as using herbs and oils for health and mood benefits. I loved the way the chapters were broken down based on needs. For example one chapter was based solely on Anxiety and Stress and that was useful for me. The recipes included for both baking and making essential oil mixtures were a great addition and there are definitely a few I can see myself using

A self-care focused book of witchy wellness, this book had a lot of interesting ideas and the recipes and spells included were thoughtful and interesting. I enjoyed part II of this book the most - as it provided specific ideas - including recipes, infusions, and spells - related to specific moods and ideas for addressing them. I will say, I do wish the author had made a mention about seeking professional mental health help in the sections that talked about anger and other “dark moods” as this kind of stuff can and should be handled by a professional if it reaches a dark point instead of through activities described in the book.

I requested to read this book because of the cover and title. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. A friend of mine is very into wellness and herbalism and I found this book to help me to understand the world of all things that fall into the genre of it. The book is informative and I can't wait to gift it to others. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. Five stars.

I kindly received this book as an ARC from Netgalley after requesting it due to my interest in this subject. I absolutely recommend this book to people who are looking into kitchen witchery/magick as a beginner and even experienced people. The author explains everything really well, which for a beginner I found useful. My favourites are the essential oils and herb mixes. I am even going to purchase a hard copy when this is released so I will have it to hand when I'm in the kitchen.
Thank you!

This book just managed to find me right when I needed it.

If you too are looking for an accessible witchy guide to teas, tinctures, and finding magick in your everyday self care, this is the guide for you. I really appreciate how accessible each of the exercises and home brewed items are written to be. Laurel does a fantastic job of stating what each item is - like the differences between infusions, tinctures, oils, and essences - followed by short, simple, and easy to follow steps on how to make each. I find that Laurel’s writing style is very stream of consciousness, and it just makes me feels so at home in her writing, like she’s right there guiding me.

I cannot wait to start practicing some of the guided exercises and concoctions in this guide, specifically the wide range of anxiety reducing infusions.

Thank you NetGalley and Llewellyn Publications for the ARC of this guide when I really needed it.
