I had difficulty completing this book. Admittingly some good points. But the book was not my cup of tea.

I just finished Make Money Your Thing by Kalee Boisvert which I read thanks to #NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is purportedly a book about finances, but the author teaches us very little in that area. I learned a lot about her daughter, her clients & a lot about her own fears & successes, but almost nothing about financial money strategies.

I do not recommend this book.

This book has relatable premise: financial empowerment for women. Through practical and inspiring steps, the author guides readers on a journey from financial avoidance to confidence. With relatable client stories and actionable tips, this book makes managing money accessible and empowering for women of all ages.

I think many people my age are struggling with their finances, not only because the global economy is a disaster, but also because we were never taught financial literacy by our parents. That, at least, is true for me. This is why I reach for information on this subject through social media profiles, YouTube channels, and, yes, books. I thought Make Money Your Thing would help me take steps to be more financially stable, or at least more confident with what I make versus what I spend. I didn't expect it to make me rich by the time I was done reading it, but I also didn't expect it to be pretty much a pitch for an MLM. The moment the expression "financial freedom" was thrown in, and even after I'd let slide a couple of sexist comments, I knew this book wasn't for me.

This book is full of helpful and practical advice to gain financial stability and freedom. Easy to read and gives you a thrill to get started on this journey.

I wasn't expecting to like this, to be honest, I was expecting more of the same. But once I dove in I was pleasantly surprised and actually learned quite a bit.

Ms. Boisvert knows her stuff. She uses her own experiences as examples to show how she managed to create her own wealth.

The book is divided into four parts that are comprehensive and educational. She covers everything from how people think about money to budgeting, managing and taking responsibility for your own money.

I found her easy to read, easy to comprehend and actually put some of her advice to work for myself.

As someone who is financially stable, I still thought this was insightful and helpful. I plan to give it to my friends as I think there is something in here for anyone - whether they are just starting off in life or further along in their financial journey.

Highly recommend this. I look forward to whatever else Ms. Boisvert writes.

A liberating and motivational guide to get in control of your money. Easy to understand with a very clear tone, I loved the way this book was broken down into easy-to-understand and digest sections. Make Money Your Thing by Kalee Boisvert is a book that I needed to read. As a single woman, I often find myself intimidated by 'money talk', particularly when it comes to investing. I thought this book was wonderful to help women understand finances and money. It also addresses the feelings that may have evolved around money due to personal experiences which I appreciated. I usually acquire women's fiction titles but I am new to Netgalley and starting to build my repitoire. I couldn't help but be interested in this title. I think it is very important for women to have financial information and resources at their fingertips. This is a great time to do so. It has great information and is broken down in easy to understand intervals for taking control of your finances.
