First, thank you NetGalley for the arc. This book was okay. The plot was nice and the friendship/sisterhood is what kept me till the end. The characters are also a bit older in life and that was great cause I was able to relate to the characters a bit more. However nothing drastic happens. There is not "oh no what now" moment and this overall made this a really slow read for me. The writing was good and I loved how the author explore the depth of each woman's story. This was my first read from this author as well.

This was a beautiful book and was really well written.

I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and their relationships with each other.

The book felt slightly predictable at times but that didn't take away from the enjoyment of the story.

Thanks to NetGalley and Harper Muse for providing me with this arc

Though I loved the premise of this book so much. I felt it was predictable which didn’t leave me wanting to read the book but like I said I wanted to read it because I was very interested in this book. It was a very good book and it definitely had me in my feels a few times. I would definitely recommend for a summer or fall read.

This story was incredible and beautifully crafted, highlighting the themes of sisterhood, friendship, loyalty, and love. It captivated me from the first page to the last, and I couldn't put it down, staying up all night to finish it.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about friendship and sisterhood between Yvette, Rochelle, Diane and Joy. Though tragedy struck, this friendship did not dwindle but only grew stronger. Each had obstacles with family, marriages and every day life but the bond was unbreakable.

If you’re a fan of the slice of life genre, then this is for you. I enjoyed reading about The friendships between these three ladies, but I thought this moved a bit slow. I was expecting it to be more about their vacation together and less about their personal lives, but I got the latter. The book wasn’t bad my any means, just not what I expected.

Thank you NetGalley for the arc. I really wanted to love this book but I just could not get into it. I loved the theme of sisterhood and friendship. The plot was okay, there was some pretty heavy/serious topics that was discussed. Kind of wish we could have read more about this girl trip to Jamaica. Overall, it was an okay read.

I loved the close bond between Rochelle Joy and Diane. Friends since grade school and referred to each other as sisters of my heart. They were all grieving the loss of one of their sisters of their heart Yvette while trying to navigate relationships, marriage and infertility issues. Rochelle was hesitant to love again because of her abusive ex. Joy had put her dreams and aspirations on hold for too long. She didn’t know her husband intentions were not in alignment with hers. Diane’s journey to motherhood was different than she imagined. I believe the journey strengthened her marriage in the end. Overall this book reminds you that our life might not follow the plan we imagined however everything always works out for our good.

Four friends…Diane, Rochelle, Yvette and Joy are college friends that have viewed to always be there for one another. They also decided to take a girls trip to Jamaica, until death claimed one of them. Prior to her death, she wrote a letter and left instructions for them to still take the trip…in her memory. She also have each woman some warm sisterly advice that would carry them thru their upcoming trying days, weeks, and months.

This book will tug at many of your emotions. There are certain characters and scenes that will piss you off, and others that will have you shedding tears. The storyline flowed well, and the imagery was beautiful, beginning with the cover. My favorite character was Warren and my least favorite character would have to be Robert. SMH

I highly recommend this page turner by @sheryllister. It has secured it's spot on my Best Books of 2024.

This book was pretty decent for the most part. The pacing was rather up and down for me but Lister is definitely an excellent writer without a doubt. It was a lighthearted read mainly surrounding three women Joy, Diane, and Rochelle and the power of their friendship as they cope with the loss of their lifelong friend Yvette. Each character takes the reader on a different journey as they navigate through the struggles of daily life, relationships, marriages, and their careers.

The tension between Joy and her husband Robert really carried the book in my opinion. Robert was really nonchalant and gave off a idgaf attitude from the beginning. I thought it was hilarious when Joy hit him with those divorce papers. He wanted to talk and work things out then.

Diane and her husband Jeffrey were also giving off a bit of drama in the beginning. Diane was going through pre-mature menopause at 38, unable to get pregnant, and was considering adoption. Jeffrey was being inconsiderate asf about everything but later in the book we see why.

Rochelle was presented as the insecure overweight friend with low self-esteem who was navigating motherhood and life after leaving an abusive marriage. There was a budding romance between her and Warren. Which I thought Warren was a charmer just a little corny but perfect for her.

Overall, I think the book is worth reading. I loved the fact the characters were older in age and the author explored different aspects of each woman’s life. Nothing drastic really happens but it was enjoyable getting to know these characters and exploring the depths of their friendship. Yvette was mentioned a few times throughout just wish we could’ve gotten more backstory on her character. Special thanks to the author & @harpermusebooks for my gifted copy‼️

I really wanted to love this book. I thought the synopsis was very nostalgic , kind of like Stella gets her groove back. However, the Jamaican vacation the friends should’ve had lasted less than a chapter and it was back to the drama. That bothered me because I felt like this was made to be the focal point of the book. All of the men in the book were annoying. Even Warren was too good to be true. I couldn’t differentiate the women because there was so much going on. I wish this was better.

This story follows Diane, Joy, Yvette, and Rochelle. After Yvette’s passing the three best friends struggle to find grounding. Yvette’s had two wishes. Take the girls trip to Jamaica and live life without reservations. The sisterhood in this book was so endearing to me. It makes me wanna go ahead and start living without reservations. Overall this was 4 star read

This was my favorite romantic comedy novel that I've read in a long time. The characters are real, the plot grips you, and I was almost in tears by the end of it. This sweet story of friendship, love, and freedom is one for everyone. I'm so glad I got to read a copy of this!

This story of four friends was a heart warming read about the power of friendship. While all the women deal with love, motherhood, and careers, the one constant is the support they have for each other.

A quick, easy read.

This was such a a wonderful story. I truly enjoyed getting to know Joy, Diane, and Rochelle. Their journeys toward happiness weren't easy. Joy had a troubled marriage. Diane was struggling to have a child. And Rochelle was struggling to open her heart to happiness. The story opened with the loss of their friend Yvette. That prompted each of them to take more risks in their lives. In the end, they each made it to their happily ever after.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a wonderful women's fiction book with strong romantic elements.

I got a copy from Net Galley but ended up buying and audio version. The narrator was really good.

What a sweet and cozy read this was! Definitely a feel good book tied with a happy bow.

After losing their dearest friend, three women navigate loss and what their lives will look like moving forward. Each of them will go down a different path, but they will always have each other due to their strong sisterhood.

Joy - She has worked her booty off and runs a successful business with her husband. Is he really the man of her dreams though and what about her aspirations of owning a spa? Why can't he seem to get on board with that?

Rochelle - So far Chelle has lived her life trying to please everyone else and to be the best mother she can be. While successful in motherhood, her love life hasn't been as great since leaving her toxic ex-husband. It's time for her to make some changes and to put herself first for once. Should she give the man a chance that has been patiently flirting with her for the past two years?

Diane - Motherhood is something she has craved since she can remember. She thought she had found her dream man, gotten married, bought a house big enough for a truck load of kids, and has a stable career. So why isn't becoming a mother as easy as she always thought it would be and why is her husband starting to seem like he doesn't share this same dream?

If you're looking for a smooth and low stress book then look no further! What a great story about loss, friendship, love and sisterhood.

This is a beautiful and timely book about friendships that evolved into sisterhood. I loved all of these characters and enjoyed all the unique stories of their relationships. I personally related to Rochelle the most. Her journey to loving herself and opening her heart at her own pace while being a wonderful mother was beautiful to watch. Warren was so perfectly patient for her. I felt so much for Diane and appreciated the way the author handled her husband's feelings about his perceived shortcomings. I don't think the effects of that type d situation are always addressed, but the honesty and redemption was done well. Joy's story is one we've all probably seen or heard about, but thankfully, she was in a position to make the changes she needed in order to live a happy and fulfilling life.

The support these friends give to each other is a beautiful reminder for us to always appreciate our circle and not waste time on the things that don't really matter. My only critique is that i wished the actual trip portion had either occurred earlier on or lasted for a longers period during the story. I would definitely recommend this book to others.

Thanks to Netgalley and Harper Muse for providing me an ARC of this wonderful book.

I enjoyed this story of the friendship between a group of 4 women. I liked how supportive they were of each other. I also liked how some of the women's lives were up while others were down and then some of the situations would reverse--got the whole gamut. Their romantic relationships were also up and down.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

When friends become family, that is life. Four friends face many challenges in life together. These four women face various obstacles and challenges throughout life. The matriarch of the group makes them promise that they will go on a much needed girls trip. No Reservations challenges the characters as well as the readers to take inventory of their lives. Sometimes we need to be selfish in order to be a better person to ourselves and others. Many tears were shed, hugs extended, and love on full. No Reservations is a must read.
