I liked the premise of this book - a woman whose final wish is to send her three best friends on a trip to Jamaica. As we read about their trip, we learn more about each of their stories. I didn't find the individual stories particularly compelling, and was instead drawn to the relationships between Joy, Dianne, and Rochelle. This book is, at its heart, a story about friendship and it does well in that regard. I found myself wishing for a bit more depth, and I don't think it's a novel that will stick with me for a long time. That said, the writing is good, and it was a relatively engaging read.
Am awesome read! I was engrossed in this book from the beginning. Great writing by this author. Will definitely read more books from this author.
This was a quick sweet read. True sister friends navigate tough times together. I liked it but didn’t love it. It was easy to read and the characters were super likeable.
No Reservations by Sheryl Lister is the story of four female friends, and one has just died. The other three are grieving, and also going through issues such as infertility, and marital problems. Before she died, Yvette set up a trip to Jamaica for her three friends, and we see them in the months before that, as they navigate their lives. Even though there are real problems, the book is pretty light, and there is a lot of hope and happiness, and it really shows the power of female friendship.

Heartbreaking and heartwarming. Four friends whose lives have not gone as planned but a trip to Jamaica may help three of them to grieve for the fourth and find their way. A story of friendship.
Many thanks to . Harper Muse and to Netgalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
Thank you to Harper Muse for my ARC in exchange for an honest review. This was okay! Nothing bad but nothing I LOVED either.
I thought this was going to be a "female friends fixing their lives on a trip" book. But it wasn't. When one of a quartet of close friends dies she leaves messages and plane tickets for the remaining three. The messages instructs each on fulfilling their dreams and reminds them to support each other. The months leading up to their trip are well spent. Not only to they prepare for their trip, they work on their lives. The trip is the cherry on top.
I loved this story it felt like a book version of girls trip without the crazy antics 😍. Now I want a book 2 about Joy because she was my fav character.
I think this book had a lot of potential and maybe I'm just not the reader for this book. But I found that the writing fell flat, I liked the friendships and the fact that each of them had their own goals to work towards but it felt methodical almost and not organic? I didn't feel connected to these characters as I wanted to either.
Thank you to Netgalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

The best word that I can describe this book with is catharsis, to the point where I was crying by the end of the book! The journey that Diane, Joy, and Rochelle each go on is beautifully written and so rewarding to read. The way that the book was written made me feel as though I was engrossed in their worlds, and made it all the more incredible to see what can happen when you have been able to build strong support systems in your community. I very much recommend this book to anyone looking for something very uplifting, especially in the dark times we live in.
What a wonderful tale of friendship, triumph, and love! Sheryl is a phenomenal author, whose stories have a fluid way of romancing readers with her skilled pen. I absolutely love a great friendship story, and No Reservations delivered just that. One last act of friendship opens a new world to the three remaining friends, introducing them to who they truly are. I recommend this light, easy read.
I always appreciate a book about friendship, and this one went deeply into that. The individual stories didn't all compel me, but i love watching friends love each other.
Thank you to Harper Muse and netgalley for allowing me to read No Reservations by Sheryl Lister. This was such a fun and easy read.
The book is about 4 friends who have promised to go to Jamaica and be there forever for each other.
When one friend dies, the other three are thrown into chaos in their own relationships.
This book was a great friendship story. I tried to guess which husband was cheating....I was wrong.
Dianes' plot made me cry way too many times.
I loved Warren, wish that all men were like Warren.
Joy was so determined to open her spa, I loved her fierce determination to get that off the ground.
One of the downsides of the book was the over sharing of small details. For instance, going shopping, telling what the friends were eating. I thought it was just a little bit of a drag on the story.
Overall a great girl friendship book that will leave you longing for your own friend group.
No Reservations is a page turner about sisterhood, sacrifices, and collective healing. Readers join four friends, more like sisters, as they navigate life. Although Yvette passes away, she finds the most creative and impactful way to stay connect to the other three ladies. Yvette’s last request of Joy, Diane, and Rochelle is to take a trip to Jamaica…to their surprise she bought tickets and gave instructions!
The trip symbolizes their pact to remain sisters despite the challenges life throws their way, however, Joy, Rochelle, and Diane realize going to Jamaica is about returning home to themselves. They learn to love again. They learn to put themselves first. They learn to keep their hearts and minds open to the greatest possibilities of life.
This book is heartwarming and tugs on your emotions. To me, I see resemblance of Girlfriends, Insecure, and Waiting To Exhale. All of which are my favorite. I can’t wait for this book to hit the shelves and buy it for all of my girls!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and the opinions expressed are my own. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, No Reservations by Sheryl Lister. Four sister/friends who have known each from college desk with the death of one of them and their own issues. However, they are surprised when the decreased friend leaves them instructions and tickets to Jamaica. There they deal with their issues and fortify their bond with each other. With faith and support from each other, all of their dreams come to pass.

This book started off a bit…cluttered, is the best way I can think to put it. Lots of characters and descriptions and it was hard for to me gain footing in the story initially. Once I did, though, I found myself involved in it. Also, because I’m from the Bay Area, and completed both my undergraduate and graduate studies in Sacramento, I enjoyed reading about places and spaces familiar to me. It made the story more interesting.
Because this was an ARC, I looked past some of the minor editing errors that I imagine will be fixed at the time of release. There were some errors that weren’t so minor, though. For example, when Joy is initially introduced to the property in Rancho Cordova, the realtor clearly says the home belonged to an older couple whose children didn’t want to sell but were ready to rent the property right away. A bit later, though, we find Joy putting in an offer on the home and saying she’s going to close on it in about month. Also, when Warren and Rochelle go to Yoshi’s, there is mention of them sitting in the third row to see Eric Benet. I’ve been to Yoshi’s countless times and there are no real rows there; instead there are tables with chairs and booths. Granted, most readers will not know this detail and while I admit it didn’t take away from the storyline greatly, it’s also a very easy thing to get right. Additionally, the storyline about Tomiko could’ve done with some improving. I’ve worked in public child welfare for 22 years, and there were some inaccuracies in this story regarding how placement of children is done. While it does vary from county to county in California, there are some…cultural universals, if you will, that done correctly, would’ve added a bit more reality to that part of the story.
All of that said, I love a book about good girlfriends and their challenges and triumphs in life, and this book does deliver that. As I stated prior, I did find myself interested in the story and though it was pretty predictable at turns, it was still an enjoyable read.
Harper Muse and NetGalley provided an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed here are solely my own.
I enjoyed reading about the bonds of sisterhood between this group of women. Their friendship was the shining light in the book. Their interactions with their partners left me wanting a bit more action and fire.
Overall, this was still an enjoyable read.
