Nero and Camille's story was brilliant, hot reckless Nero and Camille the mechanic in charge of her family who finds herself in a situation that can endanger someone she loves. Get a great action and suspense story with the emotional turmoil to back it up and have you hooked reading it from start to finish. The audiobook was brilliantly narrated, the edition and mixing were done very good, definitely would recommend getting it. This story will steal your heart, Nero is the ultimate bad boy book boyfriend you need to meet.

Sophie Lark writes books that compel you into reading them in one shot — the action, romance and spice is real, and the characters have such incredible depth you can’t help but love them as the story unfolds.

Camille — a strong FMC, already desperate to make ends meet before, but even more so after the news of her father. She already works as a mechanic but can’t make ends meet exclusively with that. She gets tangled up with a cop to infiltrate, a dangerous task, but handles this, her father and her brother like a champ. I was impressed with our FMC in this novel and it’s not the easiest to find when reading other novels of this genre.

Our MMC, Nero, is a little bit of a playboy as he breaks hearts and takes names with an attitude, and totally hot. His rough exterior hides a soft melty center as he helps Camille where ever he can. The perfect cinnamon roll!

The romance is electric, strong right off the bat and i loooove a good girl x bad boy trope so much. The street racing was a wonderful touch and refreshing as far as plot goes. A book so filled with danger and action? It’s a must read.

In the third installment of the Brutal Birthright series follows Nero and Camille, a girl who is fighting to take care of her father and brother and the bad boy Gallo. Camille runs into being blackmailed trying to keep her younger brother from the wrong path. She finds herself in the attention of Nero who is up to no good. Camille who is desperate for money gets involved in a scheme filled with danger and intrigue. Love the series and can't wait to finish all of them! I received an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was giving me all the Fast and Furious Vibes! Cars, police chase and racing was so fun! I absolutely love Nero! He’s been a favorite character of mine in the series! So glad he has his own book! The chemistry between Nero and Camille was insane! Less angst than I thought it would have but I really enjoyed it! Camille is one of my favorite MFC in the series as well. She is so awesome and doesn’t care what anyone thinks about her! Loved this book! 5 stars!

Thanks NG and Sophie Lark!

I love this series! It’s one of my favourite mafia series. I love Nero and Cami - not as much as my OGs Callum & Aida but still. I think this book has my favourite playlist so far! I felt it really flowed well with their story and timing. 🖤 I will read anything Sophie Lark writes.

Nero and Camille give me a bit of Dom and Letty vibes. Was very much here for their love story however it felt a bit rushed in comparison to the previous two books. It felt like we got a time jump right in the middle of Nero's free fall into him realizing he was in love. One of my favorite things is getting the MMC's POV for that moment they realize they are in love, and felt a little cheated out of it. Then things pick up with the heist Nero has been planning and things started to feel disjointed and rushed. Still liked the book overall but it fell a little short to the first two in the series.

I’d like to thank Bloom Books, Netgalley and Sophie Lark for the E-Arc copy of this book!

I’ve seen Sophie Lark multiple times on my FYP, so naturally I was curious about her books. When I saw them available I didn’t think twice and after finishing Savage Lover I’m glad.

I started reading this book four days ago, and I completely flew through it. The main characters were easy to like and even though I found the plot a little boring, it managed to keep me hooked.

Camille is a super strong willed FMC that has struggled to make ends meet and reaches what I would call her lowest point in life. She discovers her dad is sick and ends up involved with a cop that makes her infiltrate and puts her in a dangerous position. But you know what? This woman wouldn’t give up. She kept doing her job (as a mechanic, isn’t that cool?), kept up with the cop and took care of her dad and brother just fine. She was a total badass and I loved her for it.

On the other hand we have Nero. He’s hot, rude and apparently breaks hearts left and right. But honestly? I just thought he showed a tough exterior but was a complete softie on the inside. Or at least he had a soft spot for Camille and that’s why he was always finding a way to help her.

I think that these two had so much potential, but in the end I didn’t really love their relationship. The chemistry felt a little forced and the spicy scenes could have done better. However, I did love that they each liked each other despite their imperfections. Camille knew Nero was a notorious playboy with a short temper and a questionable morale and he saw her in all her disheveled glory, but still fell for her (her being always greasy and smelling of oil actually turned him on lol).

This book was a fast read that kept me up well past my bedtime and had me screaming at the screen wishing I could talk some sense into the characters. Since this was my first Sophie Lark book there’s nothing else I can compare it to, but I still think it was an entertaining read and I’m excited to read more from her works.

If you like moody and sexy MMC’s that hate everyone but our super badass and independent FMC, then this is a must read for you!

Forced out of her normal comfort zone while protecting her brother from a jail sentence, Camille is thrown into Nero's world of partying and street racing. The more time she spends around Nero the more she's able to glimpse beneath the man who hides behind his reputation and bad attitude. Camille gets to see a side of Nero he never shows anyone, and Nero feels a protectiveness over Camille he's never felt with any of his other hookups.

This book is fast paced, action packed (street racing/bank heist), and full of complicated family dynamics. I really enjoy the calls back to the couples from the previous books in the series. Aida and Callum cameo and banter between them in this book makes me want to reread Brutal Prince.

Mafia, bank heists, blackmail, and romance.. what more could you want? Another fantastic installment in the Brutal Prince series! Can’t wait to read Dante’s story next!

So this is Camille and Nero Gallo's story and it's a great one.
My mind feels like I just read a great version of Fast and the Furious. I'm getting ahead of myself here a bit.
So Nero is a hot head, impulsive, and has a don't give a dang attitude. He is also very clever and resourceful as a result of these things

Camille, I absolutely love that she works in a family car repair shop. While staying above the law, she does things her own way. The same can't be said for her brother. As a result, she takes responsibility for some things that go wrong. She has to change her mentality about things. She was already sassy, and classy and now she is smart a33y.

I love that it takes Camille some time to trust and eventually love Nero. I love the heist... the street racing and so much more about this book. I enjoyed the backstory in this book as well. While it seems like a slow burn there really isn't anything slow about it.  I give this book 4.5 stars.
thanks, NetGalley

Fast and furious vibes and I was here for it!

While I enjoyed the book overall, I wish there was just more. Something else to make it better. I also had a hard time feeling connected to the characters. This may be my own fault as I have not read any of the other series, I’m not sure.

I’m afraid I was NOT a fan of this one… I tried, but sadly I only got 40% of the way through before I gave up. makes me sad because I did really love the second one in this series!

Thanks so much to Bloom Books, Sophie Lark and NetGalley for the eARC. All opinions expressed are my own!

Sophie Lark know how to write a rollercoaster of a romance that had me hooked from the very first page! This book explores the depths of two interconnected souls, Camille and Nero, and their journey towards love and redemption.

Camille Rivera is a relatable and strong protagonist who is facing a series of challenges that would break anyone. Her struggles with family, finances, and her failing mechanic shop made her such a genuine character. Nero Gallo, on the other hand, is introduced as the neighborhood 'psychopath,' and yet, as the story unfolds, his complexity and vulnerabilities shine through, making him an irresistible character.

The chemistry between Camille and Nero is electric, and their interactions are filled with tension and passion. The slow-burning romance between them kept me on the edge of my seat.

I loved the intense romance with a touch of danger and suspense. The intrigue surrounding Nero's past and Camille's brother's involvement with a dirty cop added layers of excitement to the story, keeping me guessing until the very end.

The writing style is engaging and vivid, making it easy to immerse oneself in the world of these complex characters. The pacing is just right, and the plot twists kept me turning pages late into the night.

My only slight reservation is that I wished for a bit more exploration of Nero's character and backstory, Nevertheless, this didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the book.

I would highly recommend!

I absolutely love a bad boy. If that bad boy happens to have a soft spot for a girl who thinks she’s not worthy of him even better. When that bad boy makes her believe she is worthy of him & so much more💕

Nero & Camille are like the G-Eazy song Him & I. Crazy, seriously sexy, absolutely dedicated to each other…and some cool cars🤩

First off, the illustrations were so cool! Almost every chapter has an art illustrating a particular scene from the chapter.

The story was amazing. Nero and Camille are truly made for each other. Their love for cars and adventure made them very close and understanding of each other. I love reading dual POVs, and this series so far has been pretty satisfying. And don't get me started with their chemistry! Hot, hot, hot!

I'm glad I picked up this book which compelled me read the series from the book 1. The characters are so awesome and bad-ass- the Gallos, Griffins, and all their loved ones.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story except for the bonus scene. It was an book, and I look forward to completing this series.

Savage Lover is the 3rd book in Sophie Lark's Brutal Birthright series. This is about Nero Gallo and Camille Rivera.

Mafia meets Fast & The Furious meets Bonnie & Clyde
Dark(ish) Romance
No third-act breakup
Spicy, spicy!

First off, I really liked Camille's character. After reading about two mafia princesses in the first books, I didn't really expect the series to take a turn like this. Nero and Camille knew of each other but were from different crowds. After something happens, they cross paths and that's where we start. She's a relatable character. Someone who struggles day to day financial hardships and maybe doesn't fit the stereotypes of what is deemed popular. But Camille is someone who fiercely knows who she is and what she deserves. She also doesn't play games. And I was there for Camille cheering her on the entire book...

Nero was a surprise. Softer than I expected. I didn't know much about him from the first books but considering he's part of the mafia, I thought he would be darker. But I really liked him still as a MMC. The spice and relationship between them were both written really well and I liked them for each other. I think they suited each other well.

The plot of the book was actually quite different than what I expected. It took me in a different direction than I thought for a mafia series. Not your typical, girl gets pressured or forced to marry some mafia boss and then falls in love with him after he protects her from his enemies. No, this was unique and I was entertained.

I have not finished the series, but I have read a handful of Sophie's books and this was def one of my favourites. Still not as enjoyable as Stolen Heir though. I think that one is still my favourite. But I will for sure continue on with the series. Sophie Lark writes books that are easy to devour in one sitting, with spice and twists I don't generally see coming.

This book, Savage Lover, by Sophie Lark is the third in a series about a Mafia family.

Savage Lover was less about the mafia part and more a slow build - maybe too slow - romance novel. Camille's life is protecting her brother - who is his own worst enemy - and she doesn't want to like, nor was she looking for a relationship with Nero. Nero is less mafia, and more bank heist robber.

When they do connect, the sparks are there and he says all the right things.

I think it's just me, but this felt more high school romance with lots of adult situations thrown in.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this book. All opinions are my own.
