Thank you to @sourcebookskids and @netgalley for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for a honest review. This is a great addition to the "How to Catch" series. It goes through all of the things the narrator loves about his "mamasaurus." at the end of the book it even has a place for the owner of the book to write a note/draw a picture about all the things they love about their "mamasaurus." This would be a great read aloud or gift for Mother's Day. A teacher could also use it as inspiration for their Mother's Day activities. This is a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ addition to the series.

The rhymes are very awkward and clunky. I don't really understand why it's a "mamasaurus" when the children are human. I also didn't like some of the wording, how mom handles our every wish.
I will purchase this for my library because of the popularity of the series, but I didn't enjoy it.
Thank you NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Such a cute addition to the How to Catch series! My early reader enjoys the rhyme scheme which makes it easier to read. Cute illustrations as well! Thank you for the opportunity to read and review!

This picture book is just as cute as the others in the series. I loved the story and the illustrations were adorable!

My son absolutely loves this book and wants me to read it to him every night! He loves his mama and dinosaurs so this book is perfect!

A great addition to the how to catch series of children's books. We read with a group of 6 yr olds and again with a group of 4 yr olds and they loved the book equally. Great energy and plenty of group chatter on how great their Mamasaurus is.

We love the how to catch series. This one was a sweet one dedicated to all the mamas and everything they do for their kid(s). They didn’t really “catch” the mamasaurus, but detailed her importance.
It was easy enough for my 6 yr old to read.
The illustrations were cute and colorful.
It’s a great book for any child to read with her mamasaurus. :)

My lil absolutely loves the How to Catch books! I’ve not found one yet she hasn’t wanted to read, this one is no exception. The pictures of the kids and their elaborate traps are adorably detailed. The story did veer from the typical “how to catch” theme (it was there, but mostly just in picture form). The story instead focused more on the role and importance of “mamasaurus”. It’s still a fun read. She loved looking for glimpses of the elusive Mamasaurus & getting to draw her own “mamasaurus” at the end. A great book for Mother’s Day. An honest review from a 6yr old and her “Mamasaurus”.

This is a great read for children of any age. I’d even get a copy for my mom when it releases. Very simple, easy to follow with a good message! The rhyme scheme was great as well. The only thing I can say that was wrong was I thought it would be more of a quest and have more references to dinosaurs. I thought that would be the entire premise but I may have misinterpreted it! This will make a perfect gift for Mother’s Day!! I’ll definitely be purchasing for me and my little one who enjoyed reading it with me during tummy time! Great for moms with newborns looking for a quick read during tummy time.

The newest book in the How to Catch series and this one might just be the best because it is about catching that truly magical hero to all children: The Mamasaurus. Just like always this book comes with innovative catching ideas, rhymes and giggles. While getting the important message out that real-life heroes are with us every day. This would be a wonderful Mother's Day gift or birthday gift for mom.

Super cute book to gift to Mom's this coming mother's day.
Highlights ways that kids love their moms and how much moms do that they should be appreciated for.
Thanks NetGalley for this ARC.

How to Catch a Mamasaurus is an adorable children's book that provides a gender neutral cross of how to best treat our mamasaursus' and also appreciate dinosaurs! I love that this book was geared towards children of all genders and wasn't limited to just being a "boy" or "girl" book. Everyone should be able to enjoy dinosaurs and I love that this book provides a safe space to do so!

Such a fun cute book, not everything i was expecting it to be but a cute story about how much a mom does for their family. I feel like it didn't quite fit the 'how to catch' theme but i still enjoyed it.

This is such a sweet book. I love all of the How To Catch a series so I greatly enjoyed reading this one to my little one as well. The illustrations are cute and well done. This is a great book for young readers.

It was different than the rest but as a mom I appreciated it. I probably wouldn’t read it on repeat but for a one time read I liked it.

I read this with my four year old son. He really enjoyed the story. My issue was how the story flowed. The text did read very smoothly. My son thought the mamasaurus was so funny. He did ask where the rest of the dinosaurs were. It’s a cute story, but not as fun as others in the series.

This book was so cute and I read it to my little one. I love the series and was so excited to receive this earc. The illustrations in this were beautifully done and I love the storyline. I think the combining of a powerful creature and a mom is wonderful because we truly are powerful beings.
Overall, I loved this and cannot wait to pick up a copy when it comes out!

Thank you to the author, publisher, and netgalley for the ARC.
Both my children and my students love these books, so I was excited to read this one as well. While the mama part was adorable, I thought there would be more of the “ways to catch” her like the other books - maybe with some alone time, snacks, helping around the house?
It’s still cute and the pictures were great. I think that kids will still love it like they do the rest of the series.

I was very excited to read another book from this series, but this one fell a bit short. I thought some of the rhymes didn't flow well, there wasn't really a "catching" aspect of this one, and while the idea of the "Mamasaurus" was cute, all of the other characters were human. It was cute, but overall not close to being as good as the others in the series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of "How to Catch a Mamasaurus". All thoughts and opinions are my own.
My rating: 4.5/5
I thought the story was good and followed the same lines and rhymes as the previous stories. Being a teacher in a low-income area, I did have some issues. There are many students who don't have a mom. Instead, it is grandma, aunt, or even sister. Most moms don't have time to do all the things listed in the story. Some don't even have a mom. I understand that it does fit into certain molds, but let's be honest, its not reality anymore.
