My kids (6 and 10) enjoyed this. It's targeted younger (and a shorter book) than the other cube kid audio books, so it was perfect to get the younger one hooked. Same style of narration and lots of fun for kids!
My kids absolutely love Minecraft and all of these unofficial stories that go along with it. We’ve read several together and when I got the opportunity to listen to this one through NetGalley, I jumped at the chance.
This is a short middle grade novel that follows a noob as he works his way through the Minecraft world. There’s just enough action to keep kids engaged without being over the top about it and causing confusion for young readers.
My kids really enjoyed it too! They were enthralled with the story and spent much of the book with smiles on their faces. It was great to listen to it with them.
My almost-9 year old is Minecraft obessed! He loved listening to A Noob's Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior and has asked to access more! His only complaint was he wished the story was longer. I listened with him and the narration was well done :)
Thank you to Andrews McMeel Audio, Simon & Schuster Audio and NetGalley for this ALC!
With my son being a big Minecraft fan, I'm no stranger to the cube realm. So I have very much enjoyed listening to this audiobook.
A noob who wants to be a warrior and a zombie who wants to be a villager. Both on a journey to the Enderman. Of course things go wrong left and right.
As I understand it's the adaptation of a graphic novel, and the narration is really good. You can totally imagine being in a Minecraft world, being fully immersed. The voices and production are high quality and highly entertaining.
The audiobook is really short which makes it suitable for a younger audience as well. And I found myself wanting to continue the younger with our noob warrior.
4/5 stars
Thank you @netgalley and @andrewsmcmeel for the ALC.

A Noob's Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior is the first book of the new series of Minecraft adventures. A short story about Runt, a villager with aspirations of becoming a warrior. But to be honest, he is not very brave or intelligent, although he knows that has to try hard for what he wants.
As I said before, reading-listening Cube Kid Minecraft books are super fun, I'm not a gamer but listening to these books is amusing.
Thank you Andrews McMeel Audio for giving me a chance to listen via NetGalley. I have given my honest review.
