DNF’ed around the 30% mark. Nothing inherently wrong with the book - it just fell victim to my mood reader tendencies.

Thank you to the publisher and author for sending me an early copy!

This faded may book with werewolves and shifters and magic. The Author did a great job creating the overall pot conflict. I enjoyed the evolution with the meeting Vaughn. I also like how the main female and male characters both had other aspects of their lives besides just the bond. I also enjoyed the magical system this book card, and all of the overarching, plot holes in pot complex and plot lines that were expressed.

This is book one in a new series from NJ Walters called the Lone Wolf Legacy. I have not read NJ since finishing the tapestry series years ago and when I saw this book pop up I wanted to see if my interest could be rekindled. In this supernatural title we understand that there is to be only one lone wolf at a time and yet inexplicably this time around as a first there are 3: 1white, 1 gray and 1 black. Any time the white wolf, Devlin is summoned it is to take down a rogue and yet Zoe Galvani is not only certainly not a wolf, she’s human. However, her sent beckons and a strong connection is heating the white wolf’s blood. As if that’s not strange enough, her coloring eerily matches with his as well. This new series grabs you and keeps you in immediately by setting up a great cast of characters which will clearly get their own book, but also some stellar villains. The book ends with a cliffhanger sort of which means one will have to read the next one to find out what the ultimate end game is to be for the witch and the villainous rogue wolf. I personally can’t wait to get to read Grey wolf and the elusive Black wolf’s HEA. I received an ARC copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving this review.

I have been provided with a review copy of Taming the White Wolf from NetGalley for an impartial review. Oh my gosh this story was just epic. I just couldn’t put this story down and I was just captivated by everything that was taking place. The author truly outdid herself with this story. This story just had my emotions all over the place and I am so sad to see this book end. I just can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

White wolf Devlin Moore is a lone rogue werewolf hunter ........for nearly 100 years he thought he was the only one but finds out there are two others .
Zoe Galvani is an artist living in New York .......... she is a human ........ so why is he drawn to her , why does he want to mark her as his mate ?
Devlin should really be concentrating on the rogue but he just can't get Zoe out of his mind - why has the rouge marked Zoe ?
A book featuring werewolves , mages , rogues and romance takes the reader on a fast paced , twisted path to resolution - an enjoyable read
I look forward to reading more from the Author in the future

Always on the lookout for another story in the Forgotten Brotherhood series, I was happily surprised to see that N.J. Walters has started a new series on werewolves. Badass alpha males, can’t help but love them!

And Devlin is as bad as as you can think of. As a lone wolf, immortal and always on the move to execute a wolf gone rogue. A stone cold killer. Or so it seems. Until he meets Zoe. A-happy-go-lucky hardworking girl. The odd one, always just on the outside of society, unable to blend in. And with the exact same otherworldly almost white eyes as Devlin. The moment they meet, Devlin feels a strange pull toward her. Zoe is wary of the stranger, with his familiar eyes, who says he wants to keep her safe. Her whole life is predictable and safe and she would like to keep it that way, thank you very much.

Thrown together, the banter between Devlin and Zoe is hilarious and although they start of distrusting each other, it is very fun to read how they slowly open up to each other. Combined with the crazy conversations between Devlin and the other lone wolf (can’t wait to read his story as well) N.J.. has created yet another wonderful paranormal romance. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Excellent start to a new series! The author gives us a unique twist on the werewolf lore. LOVED ZOE! She is the perfect foil to Devlin's stoic nature. So many questions still to be answered in the series. Lot's of action and world building . This couple's story wraps up but there will be an ongoing story line in the series. Can't wait to read the next one!

I’ve never read a mass market werewolf novel, it’s what I pretty much expected and I’ll never not like or get used to a wolf being a little guy inside of you.

I'm not the biggest fan of werewolf books, but I really like this author's Forgotten Brotherhood series, so of course I requested it. And I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed this. The characters worked for me and I liked the whole idea of there being a lone wolf that acts as judge and executioner for his kind.

Devlin is the white wolf and one of three lone wolves in the world. Something that has never happened before. A lone wolf is selected upon their first change when the previous lone wolf has died...and they are completely shunned and feared by their people pretty much right away. They also have this internal voice of a sort that points them in the right direction of their next target. Devlin's leads him to New York where he has a brief encounter with a human that will change his whole world.

Zoe doesn't have much, but she's proud of what she does because she has worked hard for it. After finishing her most recent job, she's out getting some air when she almost gets hit by a car. Despite the way he acts, after Devlin pulls her back to safety, she can't believe how she immediately finds him attractive. And even after he walks away from her, she can't stop thinking about him.

These two run into each other again at a club and Devlin is powerless to stop himself from following her even though his target is somewhere close. Things become much more complicated when he finds out that Zoe has been marked my the rouge werewolf and realizes that it's most likely because of him. Usually he would use that to his advantage, but he can't stand to see anything happen to Zoe. Despite the overwhelming attraction she feels towards Devlin, Zoe tries to fight it. Especially when he starts talking about werewolves and magic being real, because obviously he's just crazy. Until things happen to her that she just can't ignore anymore.

These two end up on the run together while Devlin tries to figure out his next step. It has become obvious that a wolf is working with a mage, who are supposed to be their absolute enemies, and he needs to figure out why and who. Fortunately, Zoe does stop fighting her attraction to him and jumps in head first to help him, refusing to be left behind.

The ending was good. It was obvious from the beginning what these two were to each other and what was going to happen, but it went down in a good way. Plus (view spoiler). With two more books, it's obvious that the bad guys get away. But we do learn a lot from them about their goals and what they had done in the past to get what they want. With Devlin finally deciding to trust the other lone wolves, I had kind of expected that the one would have been there by the end. He wasn't but I'm sure they'll meet up at the start of the next book. And I'm quite looking forward to it.

It was an easy and quick read but at a slow pace. We meet Devlin and Zoe. Devlin is from an ancient line meant to be a lone wolf and hand judgment down to rogue wolves. Something tells him to go somewhere and he follows his instincts and they lead him to Zoe. At first, he doesn't know why it leads him to her, not a rogue. Zoe is also a graphic designer loner and one night at a bar leads her Devlin. Somehow Zoe has become a target in someone else's personal game and brings Debvlin and her together. It is a slow burn romance with twists and turns. They both investigate and go on the run trying to find out what is happening. We learn of other lone wolves and I hope they come together in the future. I can't wait to read their books. As always I support the authors I read, so this is one click buy for me!

N.J. Walters has a way of writing that immediately pulls you into the story. No slow introductions, or a lot of character development. And although this can easily be confusing or a bit to much, in N.J. Walters books I always seem to enjoy the fast pace. And from the start I definitely enjoyed this book.

‘Taming The White Wolf’ is a new world, and between everything that is happening with the two main characters we learn a bit more about the setting and the creatures that life there. I loved the paranormal aspect of the Wolves. Wolves always have this mystical feeling to them in my opinion and I enjoyed reading about Devlin and his white wolf. Despite the fast pace of the story I understood Devlin’s story and I loved how he found Zoe after many years of being alone.

The romance between Devlin and Zoe was very fun and I definitely enjoyed reading about their strong connection. Sure they moved pretty damn quickly for two people with trust issues.. but who cares when they have such chemistry?! I could have easily read a lot more about these two. And I’m really curious about the other two wolves that share Devlin’s fate.

‘Taming The White Wolf’ was a very fun and entertaining read. I can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

N.J. Walters is quickly becoming a favorite of mine when it comes to paranormal romance, and I can't wait to see where she takes this new werewolf series.

Devlin is the epitome of the lone wolf - quite literally in this instance. He is one of three immortal werewolves, destined to be alone and on the outskirts of every pack. Obviously, Devlin had the loner persona in spades, and Walters wrote him well. Zoe wasn't what I was expecting from a fated mates story; she ended up being much more self-sacrificing than I thought she would be, but she was the exact type of person that Devlin needed as a mate.

I found this story to be a quick read. There was a lot of action on the page, which in turn kept me turning the page to see what would happen next. I really liked that Walters kept Devlin and Zoe's story self-contained in this book, but also created a larger story that will, presumably, spill over into the other two wolves stories.

The writing was engaging, intriguing, and easy to get caught up in. Between the fated mates romance and the larger issues and action at play, I ended up devouring this one in just a couple sittings. Taming the White Wolf is a great paranormal romance for anyone who's looking for a different take on fated mates.

Having recently finishing the Forgotten Brotherhood series, I've been in a little reading slump.

Enter "Taming the White Wolf."

I flew through this one in a few days...probably would have finished it in a single sitting if the real world wouldn't keep intruding 😊. The characters were well written and enjoyable (even the "bad guys"), and the story had a very steady flow.

Definitely looking forward to book 2 in this series when it comes out.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The first book in the Lone Wolf Legacy, Taming the White Wolf engages you from the very first page.
A well written story with dynamic intriguing characters, I found Taming the White Wolf a compelling read of isolation, rejection and determination. I look forward to reading more of this series.
