You could take a course in developing retail properties, or you could read this book. Gary Rappaport is a legend in Washington D.C. real estate, developing multiple retail properties in the area and making millions for his happy investors. This is the third edition of the book gives insight not just into Rapaport's background but into every aspect of retail real estate investing from finding properties to creating offering memorandums and structuring investments. The last chapters of the book feature case studies that bring Rappaport's teachings to life, showing how deals are created and marketed to prospective investors.
