I love this series and each addition to it! Loved to hear of the previous characters and meeting the new ones too! What’s not to love on Love Heart Lane .

How could I not come back for more from the Love Heart Lane series.

Elle is the librarian at the Love Heart Lane library and enjoys a quiet life. As her thirtieth birthday approaches she decides to start the search for her birth mother having grown up in foster care. The search sets in motion a host of events which turns Elle’s life upside down.

Elle is another lovable character that Christie Barlow has created and you find yourself cheering for her as she goes on the journey of searching for her birth mother. Elle’s friend Pippa is also a great character, the opposite personality of Elle but the two complement each other and their friendship brings a smile to your face.

As well as the feel-good heart-warming story, this book also talks of more difficult issues and is done so sensitively and with care.

Despite this being the thirteenth book in the series, you could easily read this as a standalone novel. Although if you haven’t read the others then I highly recommend them.

This is one of my favourite series, it feels like catching up with old friends each time I return and as if I am part of the community. I can’t wait to visit Love Heart Lane again.

The Library on Love Heart Lane is a cosy, small-town romance where all the characters seem to be connected in some way or other through friends or family.

It's book thirteen in the series but I read it as a standalone.

This book centres around Elle who is looking for her birth mother. She is also single but secretly pining for Noah whom she had met a while ago. I did wonder why she didn't phone him but I enjoyed watching Pippa interfere and kickstart some social media interaction between the pair. It was cute watching them look out for likes and messages.

Elle's back story pulled on my heartstrings as I read about her childhood and how that affected her. Her reunion with her mother was sensitively handled. I had an inkling as to who her father would be and it was pleasing to see the scenario of their meeting unfold.

The romance between Noah and Elle was a slow burn where they kept missing opportunities because of a lack of communication on Elle's part. She was really bad at sending out the right signals to him and I wondered how long he was going to hang about. But, it all worked out in the end sweetly and charmingly.

For a light, relaxing read The Library on Love Heart Lane fits the bill.

I can't quite believe that this is book 13 in the love heart lane series. One that is always enjoyable to return to with characters you love. The books can be read as standalones. But it is nice to read the whole series. Another enjoyable one and. Was lovely to catch up with all the characters

This is book 13 in the Love Heart Lane series although it can be read as a standalone novel. I reccomend reading the books in order though, as there are characters who pop up in several of the books.
I love reading books about libraries and I really enjoyed reading this book. The book focuses more on the staff who work at the library as well as a couple of famous Authors.
There are some new characters, but we also catch up with some of the previous characters which is always good.
I was convinced that I knew the identity of the mysterious Author Sam, but I was completely wrong.
There was some romance, family reunions and some sad moments. Ultimately it was a heartwarming read.
I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC.

It's great to be back in Heartcross again for this latest edition in this series, although this can be read as stand-alone. Christie Barlow is an amazing way of bringing it characters to life and we can't help but fall in love with them, whether they are a new character or old and in this beautiful story- The Library on Love Heart Lane, we get to meet Elle. Elle is one of the librarians working at the library in Heartcross, alongside her good friend Pippa and they get along famously despite being like chalk and cheese. Elle is the quiet one, she has had a difficult past that she doesn't really talk about apart from with her foster mother Irene, where is Pippa is lively and bright with a love for fashion and a good time.

Elle is approaching a milestone birthday, birthdays always make her think about where she came from, who her birth mother was, and why she didn't want to keep her? So is this birthday is here turning 30 it seems even more poignant, is it time that she took action to find out more and she contacts the Salvation Army.

Of course, we are on Love Heart Lane, so we have to have some romance and with both Elle and Pippa looking for love, we wont be disappointed. With a handsome new librarian turning up unexpectedly, things are looking up but for whom. Elle is still hankering after her lost love Noah Jones a well known author with whom she shared a very fleeting moment in the past. When she hears Noah is to make a visit to the library to talk about his new book, Elle is excited but worries, will he remember her?

A story that will make you laugh, but also has some emotional moments for several characters, and we do find out the heart wrenching back story to Elles birth which made me shed a tear, but you’ll soon be laughing again, don’t worry.

Christie never disappoints and this one is another brilliant addition to the series.

Love Heart Lane
Where friends are there for you no matter what……..
I love books that have a library setting in a cute town. And, with reading this book, I got both of these things.
Throw in good friends, family, secrets and you get a fun story that will have you laughing and crying.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

In this 13th book in the series about the little village of Heartcross we meet Elle and her foster mother Irene. Nobody knows that Irene is her foster mother, everybody thinks she is her real mom. But now Elle has turned 30 she finds the time is right do start the search for her biological mother. In the book we also get to know Elle’s colleague Pippa who has just broken up with her boyfriend and becomes Elle’s housemate.

Aiden is a new person, he just transferred from the library in Inverness to Heartcross and is Elle and Pippa’s new colleague. Irene who used to work in the library has just retired and as Elle’s mom is still present a lot in the book.

Pippa has two men asking for her attention and she has to make a decision as to what she wants, this is a nice side story next to Elle’s search for her biological mother.

The library is to host the book signing of author Noah Jones on which Elle has a liking. You follow in the preparations of this but also in the other day to day life of Elle and Pippa and their friends.

As it’s a feelgood story all turns out for the good in the end but to my liking it was a bit too coincidental but aside from that it was a fun read.

This book was super cute and I loved all of the little hints of what was going to happen by the end. I guessed most of it, but I feel like that's what you're supposed to do if you can pick up on the little hints throughout. I loved how it was set in this little cute town and had a lot to do with the library and books, as well as, the foster care journey. This book touched me in many ways and I highly recommend it!

This was the first book that I've read by this author, but I will be reading more. This was a charming feel-good romance, and I thought it was absolutely lovely. I really warmed to its cosy village setting. The protagonist, Elle, was a lovely character and I identified with her in some ways. I connected quite deeply with the story and its characters, and I found this really heartwarming to read. I typically enjoy books with bookish settings, such as bookshops or libraries, which is another reason why I chose to read it. If you're very bookish like me, and you enjoy cosy feel-good romance, you may enjoy this.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for a free copy to review.

Part of a series, but still works well as a stand alone story, this is a light romance with a sense of soap opera about it, being set in a quintessentially British and somewhat idealised small town. Whilst this was a welcome relief from my recent book diet of gritty thrillers, it did not engage me so completely that I would rush to read the other books in the series, but it does what it sets out to do really well.

With thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review an advance copy

Elle Cooper is a librarian in the charming, close-knit village of Heartcross. On her 30th birthday her world turns upside down when she starts the search for her birth mother, her best friend Pippa moves in, and she enters a writing competition hosted by her favourite author.

What follows is a slice of life romcom tale that arcs through Elle's friendships, the search for her birth mother, her on/off romance with author Noah Jones, Pippa's romances, and the mystery behind the author Sam Stone. The different storylines all twist and weave together, all culminating in a satisfying resolution for the protagonist Elle.

The Library on Love Heart Lane is book 13 in the Love Heart Lane series by Christie Barlow. As a new reader to the series, I did find the sheer number of names thrown at the reader in the first few pages to be overwhelming, but presumably each of the characters mentioned has their own story arcs in the preceding books, so it will all make sense to those who have read the full series.

This was pure romcom, complete with running through thunderstorms, curious twists of fate, the savvy bestie and the reluctant protagonist. I thought Elle's back story of being a foster child was an interesting one, and stood out as something different from the average romance. The twists were a little *too* serendipitous, and I guessed them from a mile away, but that doesn't matter - this was a heartwarming story of love and books and family.

I have read most of the books in this series, and this one has all the requirements for a perfect Love Heart Lane story. Elle is a lovely character with unanswered questions about her young life. Her quest leads her on an emotional journey in which she is supported by good friends, a great community and an unexpected romance. The setting, as is its community, is crucial to this story, and we meet familiar characters throughout this book. I love the book's emotion, the sense of community and the love that defines it.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

I adore the series Love Heart Lane by Christie Barlow. The Library on Love Heart Lane is another great addition to this series.
The characters keep Love Heart Lane alive and gave me all the feelings I expected to get from reading this book. Elle was written in this story so well she made me feel like I have known her for years.
Thank you to NetGalley, Christie Barlow and One More Chapter for the book. This is my personal review

So great to visit Love Heart Lane once more
With such a delightful community again to explore.
This time it is the three librarians who
Are at the centre of the story with all they do.

There authors, surprises and revelations, too,
As Ellie decides to try to discover who
Her birth mother is and will she dare to take a chance
On the possibility of romance?

There's celebrations, tragedy and much more besides
In the lovely area where Ellie resides.
A story which inspires and friends come to your aid
Despite whatever plans you have made!

For my complementary copy, I say thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.

Another great read from Christie. I have loved all the Love Heart Lane books. The highland setting makes me want to live there and reading the books you do feel like you are there. Enjoyed the storyline about Elle and her feeling of something missing in her life. She was brought up by Irene and she had a happy life. Enjoyed reading about the characters from the previous books who flitted in and out. The love interests didn’t disappoint. Noah seemed like a good catch and Aidan was a great dad who wanted to do his best. I did feel sorry for Wilson though. Shame it was the last in the series.

A sweet uplifting romance set in what I imagined to be a quaint, picturesque village. Elle is a librarian searching for truth about her family and her life. You get a chance to get to know her as a character, but also many others in the village who are tied in nicely. It makes it feel homely and friendly throughout the novel, and a bit like you're living in the village yourself to be honest.

Add to that the element of romance throughout and it makes the novel cute and warming. Would recommend!
