This audiobook had absolutely fantastic narrators first of all. I did also really enjoy the courtroom aspect of this one- my only criticism would be how absolutely outlandish some of the twists were. Some of it was fun but it some was entirely unbelievable and made it hard to suspend my disbelief.

Caide Abbott is a liar, and when a woman in their circle in murdered, he's also a suspect.....but when the police car pulls up, he soon finds out that his situation is so much worse than he thought.

I'm not going to lie, when I started this one and it jumped into a.... shall we say unconventional... side job for someone in a seemingly normal marriage, I rolled my eyes. I may be alone in this, but while I enjoyed 'The Arrangement' series, I don't need any more of it and this seemed very similar.

Boy was I wrong.

This one went into a totally different direction that almost ended up being more of a courtroom drama than anything else and I was HOOKED. I could not put it down. While I found the ultimate explanation to be pretty far-fetched, there's no denying this is a very enjoyable fast read.

Becoming Mrs. Abbott (Audiobook) by Kiersten Modglin

The Abbott’s seem to be a happy family Racheal loves her husband, Caide and they have two wonderful children. But when Racheal is arrested for the murder of Caide’s lover, we see all the many flaws in their relationship.

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook, I found the story to be exciting and fast paced. I especially liked how there were eight different narrators giving each character a different voice.

I would like to thank Net Galley and Dreamscape Media for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review

Racheal and Caide are married, and going through the motions. Their life was fine until one day, someone is murdered and they are both possibly suspects. Can they really trust one another? Who had motive, means and opportunity? Turns out, they both did. So the question is, which one of them is guilty?

This book was very unique in the amount of different perspectives of narrators. Do you want to know what a child is thinking? There’s a chapter for that. What about a judge? Yep, you get inside his mind as well. The number of characters that narrated was really extensive and enjoyable.

The audiobook was a bit long, but the chapters were short and kept me engaged the entire time. It was a fun book to listen to.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audiobook ARC in exchange for an honest review

The Abbotts both have secrets, but is one of them a killer? When someone they both know is brutally murdered, the Abbotts are both prime suspects. They are both determined to prove their innocence. However, a tape surfaces proving which Abbott committed the murder. The irrefutable evidence is a shock to both Rachael and Caide. Will one of them end up in jail?

Kiersten Modglin does not disappoint with this one. It will keep you guessing the whole way through. I really enjoyed the cast of narrators with this one. The characters were all complex and fully developed. However, it was easy to follow the different points of view because of the multiple narrators. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to find out what happened next. I highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys psychological thrillers! I give it 4/5 stars.

This was an addicting listen!! I truly appreciated all of the narrators: Ellen Quay; Angie Kane; Pete Cross; Pat Grimes; Chris Lutkin; Stephanie Willing; Qarie Marshall; Sarab Kamoo. They did a phenomenal job and it elevated the listening experience.
I found this book so hard to pause and I was able to listen to it in a day. While I did figure out one of the plot, it was still fun trying to figure out the final outcome. This is one to definitely check out especially if you enjoy a good mystery thriller book.

Becoming Mrs. Abbott by Kiersten Modglin

Thank you to @netgalley, @dreamscapemedia, and @kierstenmodglinauthor for the opportunity to read this #advancedlistenercopy in exchange for my #honestbookreview! This book is available now on #kindleunlimited.

Rachel Abbott had just decided she was going to leave her husband when the cops rush in and arrest her for the murder of her husband’s mistress. She’s sure it’s just a misunderstanding but the case turns into her worst nightmare when some damning evidence surfaces. Her husband, Caide, hires her one of the very best lawyers around, one from a rival law firm. But things are not looking good. Will Rachel be able to prove her innocence or will she go to prison for a murder she doesn’t remember committing?

This was another wild one from Kiersten Modglin! I didn’t see the twist coming on this one at all. So much action towards the end that I’m still reeling. I’m not usually super into books with court cases (I’m reminded that our Justice system sucksssss!) but this one was actually one of the good ones. I’m pleased with how it all panned out and found this one very interesting! I recommend for those who like police procedural/legal thrillers!

TW: gaslighting, cheating, CA, prison

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - 4/5

When I requested this audiobook from NetGalley, I didn’t know it had been previously published under another name. I think this new name is more fitting.

Rachael and Caide have 2 children. Their life is far from the perfect picture some may see. The multi-narrator audio was engaging, though I did get confused a couple times. I really appreciate having different narrators for each perspective. I like how the seemingly unconnected storylines eventually aligned. The twist was something I did not predict.

Thanks to NetGalley for a copy of the audiobook for review.

I don't think I've read one of Kiersten's books yet that haven't left me with my mouth hanging open at the end. The twists in this book had me shocked and I didn't see them coming at all. And just when I thought everything was coming to a close, there was one small last twist at the very end.

I finished this book in a day since I was so invested in finding out who was behind the murder of Blaire. I had a couple different theories I was considering throughout the book and I never would have been able to guess what truly happened when it was revealed.

I listened to the audio version of this book, which was narrated by a full cast. I thought each narrator would voice one character, but it turns out the narrators would voice all of the characters in their character's chapter/POV. With so many characters, and each narrator obviously having their own voice for each, it became a little distracting at times. A couple of the narrators didn't change their voice very much to differentiate between characters, so it was hard at times to tell who was speaking.

In true Kiersten Modglin fashion, this book had me in a total chokehold. I couldn’t put it down! And holy twists batman!

4-4.5⭐️ I thoroughly enjoyed this one and could not put it down. From the first page to the last, I was so immersed in the intensity of this domestic suspense/courtroom procedural and had zero idea how things would conclude. I was simply along for the ride and I loved it.

While I understand the criticism that some of the court procedures might not have been represented with the utmost accuracies, it was a whole lot of fun to see Modglin’s typical psychological thriller enter a courtroom and loved the extra element of tension it created.

Thank you Dreamscape Media for the ALC.

Good Book Twists and turns were excellent as usual.
Kiersten's books are hit or miss for me but this was a hit.
The audiobook narrators really brought the story to life and I am so glad I was given the Audiobook version of this one.

ARC audiobook provided in exchange for an honest review.

The full cast that reads this audiobook is amazingly talented! They really took a story that could have easily fallen flat if read the wrong way and made it compelling and hard for me to turn off at any point in the book! The story had me on the edge of my seat throughout and I love how I didn’t see any of the major twists coming. It turned out completely different than I predicted! If you love psychological thrillers and suspense, be sure to give this book a try!

I found this book to be disappointing. It was too long, too inconsequential, and included a totally ridiculous court room proceedings.

The Abbotts are basically liars and you know that old fable of the boy who cries wolf, well, perhaps that applies to this story. Once behind their closed door, Rachael and Caide, the Abbotts, are hiding their persona well or so they think. However, when a prominent member of their community is murdered, the cloak of suspicion falls onto them, especially when a what seems to be an incriminating tape is discovered.

Bear in mind that these two people lie like a rug, so can one believe thy are innocent?

The story is inconsistent, events run that either bear no meaning or are ridiculously portrayed. I was indeed happy to be given this story to be listened to and the narrators did a fine job trying to save it, but it just wasn't up to the caliber of what this author has written previously. Sadly, to me, I rated it only two stars.

Thank you to the author, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for the ability to listen to this story.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the audio book. I adore Kiersten Modglin books for so many reasons- the quick reading style, jaw dropping twists at the end and many more. This one was no different.

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!
I am usually not. a fan of the evil twin twist. But this one was worth it.
I liked Rachel and Hampton and hated Caide. The characters were well plotted and likable. I thought Caide's mom character was not required, sometimes too many characters makes it difficult to focus.
Overall great read!! Loved the narration.

This stand-alone thriller had me hooked right from the start. The Abbotts may seem like the perfect couple, but behind their charming facade lies a web of chilling secrets. When a brutal murder occurs in their quiet community, they find themselves as prime suspects. Desperate to prove their innocence, the couple faces shocking revelations that test their trust in each other and everyone around them.

Kiersten Modglin has a way of pulling readers out of reading slumps, and this book was no exception. The multiple POVs and characters might have been overwhelming in other books, but Modglin's skillful storytelling ensures that each character is well-defined, and the twists are executed flawlessly. The complex and intriguing characters make the story even more captivating as you unravel their secrets and motivations.

Caide and Rachael's complicated relationship and the dark truths they uncover make this a gripping and thrilling read. As with all KMod books, Becoming Mrs. Abbott doesn't disappoint. If you're a fan of psychological thrillers with well-executed twists, this book is a must-read. I received an ARC of this book, and I'm giving my voluntary review. Trust me, you won't be able to put it down!

This book was a wild ride and at first I was not sure what this whole book would be about. I could not believe how horrid Cade was as a husband and I really felt for Rachel throughout the book. This was a fun and crazy ride. The mystery side of the book was really good too and I never would have guessed what happened.
