Wow! Just wow! Thriller done right! Murder, affairs, court proceedings, prison, deception, oh and the many twists...what is there not to love?
Whether you are new to Kiersten Modglin books or a super fan, this book will leave you amped up for more. The intensity of this book really drove the story forward so much that I consumed it in two days. The audio version is 11 hours but it will blow by as you enjoy the journey of this whodunit. I found myself wishing the story would continue. The narrators did a superb job bringing to life all the different characters POVs. This book is jam packed with all of the elements a thrill reader craves and truly delivers that rush we all seek when diving in. Go add Becoming Mrs. Abbott to your TBR list for summer!
Definitely a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ read and hands down my fav book from this author so far!!
Many thanks to Net Galley, Dreamscape Media, and Kiersten Modglin for an audio ARC of Becoming Mrs. Abbott for an honest review.

This started out strong and slowly lost me….over 11 hours of audiobook. Way too many unnecessary details that could have been cut and nothing would have been lost and it would have saved the book in my opinion. Also, im a huge fan of the author but she really needed to do more research on the court system because it was so way off that between it and the big reveal of the killer this could almost be a fantasy.
Caide and Rachel have been going through the motions in their marriage for a while now. As a result, Caide spends as much time away from home as possible, including flirting with one of the secretaries, Blaire, at his office. When Blaire turns up dead one night, Caide becomes the prime suspect because he was the last one to be seen with her. Then the police show up and arrest Rachel instead. They have video evidence of her leaving the crime scene but Rachel has no memory of even meeting Blaire much less murder in her so how can this be the case?
Now Rachel, her therapist and one of the investigators who actually believes in her have to prove her innocence, but the facts are stacking up against her.
Told from multiple POV this one is a lot to keep up with, especially given IT’s length. Wasn’t a favorite of this author’s but it won’t stop me from reading/listening to her future work because I’ve enjoyed most of her previous books.
Thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for this audiobook arc in exchange for my review.

3.5 Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an audio-ARC in exchange for my honest feedback.

I found this to be an engaging psychological thriller/mystery. Rachel Abbott is accused of murdering her husband's mistress. She knows she was home and didn't commit the murder (wasn't even aware of the affair) but there is a clear video of her at the scene of the crime.

Without giving spoilers, my biggest issue was the resolution. A bit too soap opera-like and coincidental. At least it wasn't a ghost that committed the murder!

I enjoyed the narration by both narrators. I'm glad I listened to the audio book

Ahhhh I was really, really enjoying this one.....but the trope....ugh. I was disappointed with the way it went. Still, I appreciated the multiple POVs and the longer length of the book to allow for more character development. Despite not liking the twist it took, this book is highly entertaining and held my attention. 3.5 stars rounded down.

This one is much longer than the other Kiersten Modglin books I have read so there’s more time for the set-up and the eventual twists and turns that you don’t see coming. more than enough tension to keep you reading, wondering what could possibly happen next. I enjoyed this one but
I found some things to be unrealistic. Still, the writing was great and it was easy to follow the story. Looking forward to the next.

Wow!! This book was incredible! This was my first ever full cast audiobook and I absolutely loved it. You were able to get a real feel for each individual character. An absolutely jaw dropping book all around!

BECOMING MRS. ABBOTT is yet another of my recent audiobooks by Kiersten Modglin, this one narrated by a full cast!

I have to say, I was in the mood for a wild and crazy, popcorn thriller/suspense, and this one delivered just that.

Caide Abbott is pretty immediately shown to be an unlikeable character. Rachael seems a bit sympathetic but surely can't be as wholesome as she seems. When a brutal murder occurs, it is with shock that Caide watches while his wife is arrested.

What follows is a truly wild ride with uncertainty and crazy twists. This is not a complex literary thriller. This is truly a bit of candy that is strictly for entertainment, & I was thoroughly entertained!

The cast of narrators was a huge part of the enjoyment for me. I loved the multiple POV's, and each narrator nailed their respective roles. It also made listening super easy at faster speeds.

Thank you so much to @netgalley & @dreamscape_media for access to this fast-paced ALC and letting me share my thoughts! This audio will be available on July 25th, and it may be a throwback to those who read the print version published as If it Walks Like a Killer. The audio is a winner.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this audio book ARC opportunity!

The lives of the two main characters, Caide and Rachel, appear perfect- but nothing is as if seems. Their marriage is slowly unraveling, and when Caide’s coworker is found murdered, Caide is soon the suspect. However, quickly, the tables then and “evidence” is being pointed towards Rachel. Rachel swears she’s innocent- so who did this?

I really liked the different voices for the different characters in this audio book. I found it brought it to life and it felt like the characters were acting- in a good way! Especially in the court scenes- it felt like I was right there from differing view points. With the actors narrating, I felt relaxed, like I was watching a movie or documentary, while also being intrigued, just like when I’m reading a psychological thriller. It was a great balance of relaxing and entertaining- which I rarely say!

And, the twist! Wow. I did not see that coming. Well done! I will definitely be reading more from this author! Thank you for this opportunity!

I liked the overall story of the book. It was a major reach to seem plausible and the courtroom antics were ridiculously unbelievable but it was a fast paced read with a satisfying ending.

The narration was great… the judge was animated and how he spoke just seemed really cartoonish. It’s hard to explain, but I couldn’t believe any of that aspect which was quite a large portion. I don’t believe it’s the narrator’s fault but maybe a bit more research should go into the courtroom/law aspect of it to make the story even more solid.

Holy WOW. I think I just found my favorite K. Mod book! This audiobook was done SO well. 8 different narrators holy cow! The pov changing from third pov + 1st pov was a bit of a whirlwind though but I really enjoyed this book.

There were so many different twists and turns its absolutely impossible to predict the final outcome.

What. A. Ride.

Thank you @netgalley, @kierstenmodglinauthor @dreamscape_media for allowing me to listen to this ALC!

Kiersten Modglin does it again! Never disappointed by a Modglin audiobook! The voice actors… PHENOMENAL. The story… PHENOMENAL. The plot twists… PHENOMENAL!

This book had me on the edge of my seat guessing constantly. Every chapter I was going maybe this person did it, then no definitely this person did it, to obviously it had to of been this person and still guessed wrong! To say I was shocked is an understatement.

Thanks Netgalley for the ARC of this audiobook. I love this author but this particular book fell short to me. It was all over the place with the plot and after I finished the book I felt like so many of the characters were partially developed.

Rachel and Caide Abbott seem to live a charmed life, with few worries to plague them, until a neighbor is killed and the couple becomes the prime suspects. As they try to prove their innocence, a tape surfaces that puts their innocence into question. Because the Abbotts haven’t told the truth to anyone – even each other

Becoming Mrs. Abbott by Kiersten Modglin, an audiobook narrated by Ellen Quay; Angie Kane; Pete Cross; Pat Grimes; Chris Lutkin; Stephanie Willing; Qarie Marshall, and Sarab Kamoo!
This wasn't my first time with this book! I already read it some time ago and this is what I was saying at the time: "Oh wow! I need to say that this definitely is one of the best Kiersten Modglin books! I read nearly all of them, but so far this is the most stressful, crazy, and strongest one!
This book shows how little means truth when others believe in something else. This book breaks my heart. This book brings joy. This book definitely deserves to be a movie!"
This is one of the books I knew I would want to read again! When I saw that there is an audiobook coming soon, all I wanted was to have it!
I can't express, how much I enjoyed it! And you would think - where is the point if I already read the book? It was!
First of all - the narrators did an incredible job! They made this book so alive! I literally could breathe in this book like delicious spring air!
Secondly - I didn't have that crazy anxiety that I experienced the first time reading this book so I was able to concentrate on details!

What is this book about? It's about Rachel who so far thought that the only stress about does she packs a lunchbox correctly or is she behind some bills. Rachel always wanted to be a mum and enjoyed every single day, even a stressful one! She has a perfect husband who works a lot unfortunitelly but otherwise, her life is perfect. Until one morning when Rachel is arrested on suspicion of murder! How to prove you are innocent if everyone else believes you are guilty? How to explain unexplainable things? Who she can trust? Can she trust herself?

This definitely is my favorite Kiersten Modglin book! And I love this book not because of the twists and turns and twists into the twists, I loved it because it's so real! I could picture this book as a cinema movie!
I hope and wish this will actually make it to the cinemas!
There are no words to say thank you enough to Dreamscape Media for choosing me for this advance copy and ass always thank you Netgalley for the fantastic project you created!
I am heading to order a hardcover for my favorite book collection!

Caide and Rachel's marriage has been slowly falling apart. Caide has been working long hours and is rarely home. Then one night Blaire from his office gets killed and Caide is a suspect. He comes home to explain to his wife when the police arrive they take Rachel away as murder suspect. A video clearly shows Claire and Blaire going into bathroom but only Claire coming back out. She has no memory of this so how can she be a killer?

This started out really intriguing but then seemed to slowly loose my interest. The story had a lot of filler material and I didn't like the introduction of an evil twin just seemed very far fetched and lost me.

I am a big fan of Kiersten Modglin, her books are always full of twists and fun plot lines. "Becoming Mrs. Abbott" is a wild ride of a story with a very soapy twist. Could this book actually happen in real life, nope! But that's is what makes it so crazy and fun to read. I really liked all the different characters POV's, sometimes that can be confusing but Ms Modglin executed it wonderfully.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to listen to this re-release in advance of it's new publication.

Becoming Mrs. Abbott by Kiersten Modglin
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

I really enjoyed this book! It was fast paced and easy to listen to. I loved all of the twists! This was my first book by Kiersten Modglin and I’ll definitely be grabbing up some more books/audiobooks by her!

Only 4 stars because I do think you need to suspend belief a bit towards the end of the story. 😅

Becoming Mrs. Abbott felt really quite different from most of the books I've read from KMod, that is until the end. When things get wild, you're not sure which way is up and all your theories go out the window. I may have called one twist early on, but it was still so far from what happened I'm not sure it even counts. This was such a fun and exciting story made even better by the ensemble cast. We get what feels like 20 POVs in this story and I loved that there were so many narrators telling it. It was really well done.

For most of this book we're in the middle of a court procedural of an affair gone wrong. It was really fun and interesting and had me hooked (like the true crime junkie I am). I really enjoyed getting so many point of views during this time in particular, it added so much to the story. This one also ended up being one of KMod's more romantic stories I've read, which coming from a mostly romance fan, I also really enjoyed.

The twists were really great in this one and kept me on my toes. The epilogue was especially *mind blown emoji* like you think it's all over, but it's just not. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about a longer novel from her, but it was perfect. I am having such a great time heading through her backlist and can't wait for more.

Many thanks to Net Galley and Dreamscape Media for an audio ARC of Becoming Mrs Abbott for an honest review.

Rachel and Caide are married with children but have become distant with each other. Caide's secretary, Blaire, found murdered. Who murdered Blaire? You'll have to read to find out through all the twists and turns. I thought this book was fabulous!
