I quite enjoyed this novel. I like the authors writing style. Can’t wait to read future novels from this author.

The Graham Effect is one of my favorite hockey romances of this year.

Gigi Graham (daughter of Garrett Graham) has her eyes on three things: get on the Olympics team, win the medal and not be thought of as a nepotism baby anymore. Yet in order to do so, she's going to need help from her hot as sin rival: Luke Ryder.

Luke Ryder has a backstory that allows him to be who he truly is. He's not a fan of changing schools, now at Briar U, after a shakeup at his previous school. No one wants his players there and he doesn't care what others think. But when he realizes he truly wants to be a hockey coach with Garrett Graham this summer, he's going to have to make up lost ground. Starting with helping pain in the ass Gigi Graham. What happens as a mutual agreement soon won't be what it seems as sparks start to fly. No one can resist the Graham effect.

I found myself unable to put down The Graham Effect, both listening and reading it at the same time. Starting about fifty pages in, I could feel the tension between Gigi and Ryder. While there were definitely hockey scenes mixed throughout, I loved how the focus was on our main characters and the "found family" they eventually created. True to Elle Kennedy, there are spicy scenes that will make any reader blush and want to reread. While thinking about what to compare The Graham Effect to, I instantly think of Icebreaker (but better). I cannot wait to read the next in the series... knowing it will be another delight!

The Graham Effect is definitely one of my favorites from Elle Kennedy (behind The Deal). A very entertaining hockey romance with likable characters and a ton of chemistry. If you are a fan of her other work, I definitely think you will enjoy this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the this ARC.

The next generation of the campus crew - a fun update for sure! Gigi is the daughter of Garrett Graham and is in a love/hate relationship with Ryder. I have such a soft spot for Ryder - he is a marshmallow!
I looked seeing the grown up versions of the original Briar boys, but I don't think I'll follow this series all the way through.

Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books, Bloom Books for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I've really come to love books by author Elle Kennedy. She knows how to create a great storyline and characters that you will love. I especially loved the hockey themes in this book and it had it's spicy moments too.

This book met my expectations! It made my heart happy to be able to have Garrett and Hannah back (AND Dean and Logan in some scenes) , but this book focused on Gigi and Ryder. This was such a fun, cute romance read. It was so fun being in this universe again!!

I love that this romance is about the daughter of one of my favorite couples from the Off-Campus series. Gigi Graham is a fantastic hockey player just like her dad, Garrett, and I'm endlessly intrigued by the way Elle writes the hockey lingo, practices, and games in such a way that I've actually become a fan of the sport. Ryder is a bit harsh with Gigi in the beginning, but I love the transformation that takes place in both of them as they fall in love. The chemistry is hot and the love scenes spicy. Welcome to the next generation.

It’s been quite a few years since I’ve read Elle Kennedy’s Off-Campus & Briar University series and I really enjoyed them. Campus Diaries is her newest series, featuring the next generation in Gigi Graham, daughter of Garrett and Hannah from The Deal. Gigi and Ryder are both hockey players and unlikely allies at Briar U. But with their futures on the line, they can help each other out. And maybe become friends - or more - in the process.

The Graham Effect was such a delight to read. I enjoyed the push and pull between Gigi and Ryder, and meeting many of their friends that are likely to fill the rest of the books in the series. Kudos to author Elle Kennedy for what is likely to be another hit! I received an advanced reading copy, receipt of which did not impact my review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for an e-galley of The Graham Effect.

I loved the Briar U series, so it was delightful to revisit Briar again xxx years later. Following Gigi Graham, whose father is a Briar legacy, is now playing women's hockey at Briar. She is hoping to make the USA Women's Team this year and play in the Olympics, However, the drama of the men's hockey team merging with another school at the beginning of the year leads to a nice distraction. Luke Ryder has transferred in as part of the merger, and all anyone can remember is his behavior at Worlds 3 years ago. As Gigi and Luke work together to hone her skills for the Women's team, they discover that their attraction towards each other is growing. Once they give in, will it become a temporary fling or something more?

I absolutely adored the hockey romance! It was sweet and spicy, funny, and just such a great time to read. I loved the main characters, Gigi and Ryder, and how they help each other grow as characters, each coming from different circumstances with their own difficulties and issues to figure out. The steamy scenes in this were amazing as well! I have another romance author on my radar now!

4-4.5⭐️ Gigi Graham wants to qualify for the women’s national hockey league. Luke Ryder wants a summer coaching gig with his idol, and Gigi’s father, Garrett Graham. When the two make an arrangement for him to help give her pointers in exchange for her putting in a good word for him with her dad, things seem pretty straightforward. But when their insane chemistry threatens to upend their arrangement, the two will need to figure out if pursuing something is worth the risk.

The Deal (book one of the Off Campus series) was my first foray into the world of sports romance and remains my number one in this category. Of course, as soon as I saw Elle Kennedy was writing a spin off series, I knew I needed in - immediately. And while The Deal still holds the top spot, The Graham Effect did not disappoint. Bringing the insane chemistry, new and (some old) characters you can’t help but love, and the amazing banter Kennedy is known for, this is a hockey romance you don’t want to miss.

I did an immersive read, combining the print and audiobook, and have to commend all-Star narrators CJ Bloom and Teddy Hamilton on their outstanding job putting voice to these characters. They brought all of the snark, all of the feist, and all of the playfulness these characters exude.

4.5 ⭐️ rounded up
I loved seeing the people from the off-campus series show up a little bit in this book. The spice and banter was just as good as it was in the book involving Gigi’s mom and dad. I thought Gigi and Ryder had great chemistry and their initial meet had me smiling right away and it grew as they started practicing together. I loved that they had a little deal of their own as it reminded me of her parents making a deal. The balance between spice and deeper conversations was good. I was shocked by a decision that came later in the book and it threw me off a little bit because I was not expecting it to happen at all. It did change the feel of the relationship a little bit but not in a bad way. I loved this book.

Thank you @read_bloom @getredprbooks and @netgalley for the gifted copy.

This book was laugh out loud funny in some parts, which gave it an extra star for me! I really enjoyed that this wasn't the classic storyline of "boy meets girl, they get together, some big problem happens, they make up and happily ever after". The slow build was enjoyable, and the daddy daughter relationship was one I could relate to myself. Very enjoyable!

This book didn't work for me. I never felt the connection between the characters. I have not read the previous books so maybe if I had read them I would have liked this more.

Elle Kennedy has done it again! No one writes a hockey romance like this author. I'm officially a Ryder x Gigi fangirl and I cannot WAIT for more books in this series! Plus it was so fun to see the OG characters from the Off-Campus and Briar U series. Highly, highly recommend!

I loved this book so much. Spicy, sweet, complex characters and somehow the most satisfying ending. I'll be going back to read more from this author!

A great second-generation story of a favorite. It is nice to see Hannah and Garrett again with their daughter’s story.

As we head back to the Off-Campus series, Eastwood and Briar U have merged. The rival hockey teams do not do this well. It takes Gigi Graham and Luke Ryder, a hockey player from the other school, and a player she had met in the past to mend this divide.

Gigi Graham is a great character; she plays hockey, like her father, and witty like her mother. But she has goals, and the person to help her might not be who her father expects.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Bloom Books; this is my voluntary review.

Hockey romance is a genre I always enjoy and having read Elle before when she co-wrote with Sarina Bowen, I jumped at the chance to read The Graham Effect. I was especially excited because it is the first in a new series. Then I saw an opportunity to early listen to the audiobook! Once I started reading, this story was so hard to put down. Fortunately, I was able to jump between the book and the audio and keep the story going. Not only was this an amazing new adult, hockey, college romance, it was a phenomenal audiobook. CJ Bloom and Teddy Hamilton were perfectly paired together and truly contributed to my inability to put it down. Their portrayals of both Gigi and Ryder were spot on, with immense care given to both the emotion and the humor of the story. I’m not sure this could have been better cast.

Gigi Graham has made great effort to escape her father’s expansive all star shadow in the hockey world and make a name for herself, but with such a legendary dad, it’s a hard thing to do. She wants to get a spot on the women’s olympic team. For Ryder, when his college merges with Briar U, so do their men’s hockey teams. He not only starts the season with a chip on his shoulder from an incident in his past that colors every move he makes, he is also thrust into a leadership position he doesn’t want. But he does want a coveted coaching spot at Gigi's father’s camp. Both of them realize they can help the other. The more time the spend together the simmering heat between them gets harder to ignore, but is it worth the risk?

I am so glad I had the opportunity to read this book and listen to the audio. Not only was the writing amazing, in audio Elle’s books are a treat. I never hesitate with CJ and Teddy, two of my fav narrators. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series. I’ve long meant to read Elle, and this has only made me want to read more. Hockey romance binge here I come!
