This book was a pretty average psychological thriller. I did really enjoy the character development and the way that the time jumps flowed with the story. I was pleasantly surprised to see that both main characters read as the ages they were supposed to be in the story so when they were 16 & 21, they read appropriately just as they did when they were 23 & 28. I would recommend this book to people who love a psychological thriller or some who is new to the thriller genre. Thank you to Bookouture & NetGalley for the gifted ARC.

Title: It All Comes Back To You
Author: Melissa Wiesner
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️/3 stars
Ugh, sometimes I wait entirely too long to post my review, and then I end up completely forgetting the book! As is with this one ☹️. Let's see if I remember once I start typing!
Anna is an extremely private, hardworking woman with two jobs and college classes. Anna will not talk about her family or where she came from. Unlike Gabe, who is also intelligent and hardworking but loves his family dearly and is very open and outgoing. When these two meet, a strong friendship evolves with the potential to be more, but Anna is always with one step out of the door. Especially when Gabe and his family get too close and those family secrets she's protected at all costs seem close to being exposed. Over the years, they grow from friends to lovers, but is that enough to hold on to when the truth is set free?

Thank you, @netgalley and @bookouture, for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!
Melissa Wiesner’s It All Comes Back to You is a thrilling and exhilarating emotional rollercoaster ride you won’t forget in a hurry.
Anna and Gabe couldn’t be more different. Anna keeps herself to herself, works two jobs to pay her way through college and never ever mentions her family. Gabe, on the other hand, is popular, comes from a loving family and gets good grades without much effort. The two of them are poles apart and shouldn’t have anything in common – until they make an undeniable connection that sees them growing closer and closer.
When she is with Gabe, Anna forgets all about the darkness in her life, her twisted secrets and the family she never mentions. Gabe makes her feel safe, seen and cared for and the more time she spends with him, the more she falls head over heels in love with him. But just when Anna had begun to hope that she could at long last find the happiness that has eluded her all her life, the rug is well and truly pulled out from under her feet when Gabe and his family discover what she is really hiding. Terrified, anguished and in despair, Anna knows that she has no other choice but to flee and to leave Gabe behind.
Years later, a tragedy brings her back to town – and to Gabe! When the two reconnect, it’s like they’ve never been apart. Will old sins and past secrets wreak their second chance at happiness? This time around, it isn’t just Anna who has something to hide. Will Gabe’s shocking revelations put paid to his future dreams with Anna? Or will these two soulmates finally have the life together they had always hoped for?
It All Comes Back to You is a powerful, heart-wrenching and haunting read you will not be able to stop reading. Melissa Wiesner will make you feel every single emotion her characters go through and Anna and Gabe’s love story is tempestuous, unpredictable and so poignant that this book should come with a huge box of tissues as you are certainly going to need them.
Melissa Wiesner never fails to deliver top-notch page-turners that leave you wanting more and she has done it again with her latest novel, It All Comes Back to You.
I really enjoyed the first part of this story. It had me gripped and I really enjoyed Anna and Gabes interactions especially when Anna is introduced to the family. The story was engaging and took me on a roller coaster of emotions. The 2nd part lost its way for me unfortunately. It didn't seem to flow as well and I found myself not getting as lost in the story as we only got little snippets of life after part one and they are spread out with upto 3 year gaps. I just didnt get the same feels due to this time loss.
As a new to me author I would defiantly be up for trying another one of Melissa's books.
Safe to say this one stole my heart! Wiesner’s writing is as smooth as a perfectly brewed cup of tea on a chilly winter day, with just the right blend of humor and warmth to make your heart flutter. I loved that the storyline of this book was original and this set it apart from the rest of the endless stream of romance novels which fill our shelves today. I also loved the 3 year dynamic which played out throughout the novel, I felt this added such grit and made the book feel more like a journey. To top it off a truly beautiful ending!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advance copy of It All Comes Back to You by Melissa Wiesner in exchange for my honest review and opinion. I LOVED this book and the story between Anna and Gabe as it's so touching and heartwarming. This book will stay with you long after you finish it. My advice other than to read it right away is to keep a box of Kleenex close by.
Good book with a solid story. I liked the whole book even with a few slow parts. Not my cup of tea but someone would like it.

Overall, "It All Comes Back to You" is a beautifully written novel that touches the heart and leaves a lasting impression. Melissa Wiesner has crafted a story that is sure to be cherished by readers for years to come. Highly recommended for anyone in search of a captivating and emotionally resonant read.
Let me tell you how good this book was!! This book beat out my favorite book of the month over the new Sarah J. Maas book!! That is how good this one was!! This story takes you on a journey through the lives of two people who do not start out as lovers just friends. And as they get to know each other and learn of each other they fall in love over the years. I could not put this book down. I kept putting off things just to read this. It was unputdownable. And just when you think that the book was about to be over. I checked the % and I was only about half way through. My goodness this book felt so much longer than the 334 pages that it was and I loved every second of it.
Such a good book and an absolute emotional roller coaster ride. It was really worth the time to sit down and really give it the energy it deserves so you can feel the emotions of the characters.
OH my goodness. Another book that has my heart and soul. This has left a mark on me. If you want to read a book that will give you all the feels, please try this one. I loved the characters. 3 of my favourite tropes. Second chances, friends to lovers, and found family.
Melissa Wiesner has left me feeling so much and is now an auto buy author for me! This was my second book by her and I LOVED IT! I felt so overwhelmed by my emotions that I had to sit on this a few days after finishing the book before I decided to reflect on it.
The characters were created so beautifully that I felt a strong connection to Anna and Gabe. It's impossible not to think about them long after the book is read. The story is well executed and draws the reader in. I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys reading authors like Colleen Hoover and enjoy a slow-burn, friends to lovers emotional romance.
It All Comes Back to You by Melissa Wiesner and narrated by Kate Handford was an excellent audiobook which was a totally emotional and gripping page-turner from start to finish, which pulled me into the world of Anna and Gabe the two main characters who I adored.
This audiobook/book will make you laugh, cry with both joy and pain, and hold your loved ones tight which made it an amazing audiobook/book, that was beautifully written and narrated. Kate Handford the narrator was excellent. I loved it.............But make sure you have lots of tissues handy, you will need them.
Big Thank you to Bookouture, Bookouture audio, for my ARC.
This was such an emotional rollercoaster. I really enjoyed the journey between Anna and Abe and loved the ending between them. I did feel that the ending was a bit abrupt and I would have liked a better conclusion between Anna and her mom. I felt like there was a lot of story left there and some explanations were missing that I needed to feel fulfilled. This will definitely resonate with Colleen Hoover fans - it gave me all the same vibes. I enjoyed this one a lot! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book is incredible.
I couldn’t put it down.
The journey that Anna is on is incredible. She is such a strong character and you root from her from the beginning. How her character is built through the book is so good. Gabe is a great character and you root from the both of them alway. Gabe’s family is so fun. I truly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read others by Melissa.
This story will make u have mixed feelings about it.
I loved Anna immediately. She's had to work hard for everything just like I have. So I can definitely relate to her.
I think i agree with a few people that I wish I had Gabe's family. They seem to me like they're too perfect though.
Anyone would like to have a family like that even me. Too good to be true. But is it really?
Everyone has secrets to hid even Gabe so that made me like him just a bit more as each page turned.
This book was so very good that I finished it one afternoon.
I found myself cheering the two main characters as they navigate through life to find their place.
I loved this book so very much it made me cry laugh and love all at the ame time if that's possible. I love a book like that.
5 stars for an amazing journey of poignancy, forgiveness and 2nd chances. Buckle up for a tear jerker story. You will love it like I did.
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.
“Life can change in a second. Don’t miss your chance.”
If Colleen Hoover and Nicholas Sparks books had a baby it would be this book. It had raw, painful, real-life, traumatic events mixed with a slow burn love story. It was heartbreakingly beautiful. This was my first book by this author and it won’t be the last.

Anna and Gabe come from two different worlds. She was abandoned by her family and struggles to fend for herself. She has to work extremely hard for what little she has. He comes from a loving, supportive and wealthy family. But both have secrets that they keep hidden about their past. This book is written in duel POV between Anna and Gabe over a span of 15 years; 15 years of longing, heartbreak and love.
Gabe was always looking out for Anna like a big brother, even calling her “kid”. I felt like they turned a sibling relationship into a romantic relationship which made it hard to process or feel like their relationship was credible. . However, the way the Weatherall family took Anna in their home, and loved and supported her as one of their own, was heartwarming and beautiful which was what made me love this story.

Thank you @netgalley and @bookouture for sending me this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
“Does keeping secrets destroy true love?”
I enjoyed The Second Chance Year so much so I kept going with Melissa Wiesner’s It All Comes Back to You, which came out earlier this year in August.
Anna and Gabe meet when Anna is taking classes at the local university as a high school student. Gabe is a senior in university and they get paired together for a class project. Anna bonds with Gabe and his family who take her in like one of their own. Anna’s own home life is lonely and unstable, with a mom that hasn’t been able to be a real parent to her. As Anna and Gabe get closer, she worries he will find out her deepest secret, so she leaves to go to medical school across the country and breaks contact.
Over the next decade, Anna and Gabe drift apart and grow closer, seeing each other sporadically, until finally they are brought together in their hometown. Their relationship is the literally definition of slow burn.
This book also had friends to lovers, found family, and an age gap. I loved the whole Weatherall family and their relationships with each other and with Anna. I loved the banter between Anna and Gabe, and how Gabe justs wants to protect her and take care of her, considering their age difference. I love that Gabe wasn’t the frat party boy we expect him to be.
I don’t want to give spoilers so I will just say that I wanted more from the ending. I know we can all infer what went on with Anna’s mom, but I felt that she owed her daughter more of an exaplanation.
Overall, though, while I can understand certain issues people have mentioned with this book, I loved Melissa Wiesner’s writing and I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down.
This story was a roller coaster of emotions. In the beginning, there is a lot of character development and backstory, which is needed to truly understand Anna. Anna is strong, determined and resilient. Although she is guarded, she allows herself to develop a friendship with Gabe- one that will forever change her life. I did feel that Anna’s stubbornness was frustrating at times, but their chemistry and connection prevailed.
Overall, this was a heartwarming read with a beautiful ending. 🥹
I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.
