The story starts with an unexpected elevator mishap that leads to a sizzling encounter with the enigmatic billionaire, Chance Easton. From that moment on, I was irresistibly drawn into their steamy romance, filled with heart-pounding moments and undeniable chemistry. Chance, the dark, handsome, and oh-so-tempting man, sweeps our protagonist off her feet and offers her a job she can't resist. The thrilling plot takes a twist when secrets are revealed, and danger lurks in the shadows. With danger closing in and hearts on the line, this is an addictive contemporary romance that will keep you turning pages late into the night.

This book was very cute. I loved the meet cute in the beginning, it definitely made me smile and chuckle. I do think that the first "sex" scene was too early on in the story. Even still I think the sex scenes definitely had a good amount of spice in them. I was captivated by this book within the first chapter and I loved the entire ride I was on with these characters. I would love to read more of Summer's work and will be recommending this read.

A sweet, fluffy summer read. Maddie, fresh from a broken engagement and being fired from her job, goes on a weekend vacation with her friend to a teopical resort. When going to meet her friend at a party she bumps into Chase, CEO of the resort. He offers her a job and they start a fake romantic relationship with plenty of real, spicy benefits. t will it be enough tonkeep her safe? Both consider wanting it to be real, but will either of them actually take that chance? Throw in a little suspense with a stranger trying to break into her villa. He has security watching her, but will it be enough tonkeep her safe?

Spoilers!!!

While it took me a few pages to get into it, I did enjoy the book. It's a cute story with a bit of suspense and a lot of spice. While there isn't much plot and a lot of miscommunication, it is a cute story. The plit gives a "will they, wont they" fell that keeps you reading to see how their relationship will progress. Chase does grow, but it seems a little fast how he just accepts that he can move on from not being there for his mom 15 years prior. I feel that his healing could have been more drawn out. Of course miscommunication leads to Maddie leaving for the airport. The end with Chase running after her at the airport was a little cliche for my tastes. But if you are looking for a cute vacation read give it a try.

One thing I really don't like is giving bad review but this story bled from so many wounds, I have trouble finding anything sensible about it. This is a 1 star rounded up for 2 just because the meet cute was fun in the beginning.

I won't get into the spice part because those worked to a decent level. Though, I'd still love to know how one holds a proper conversation with their mouth full of a certain male bodypart.

The miscommunication was... so bad, it made me want to rip my hair. Maddie was erratic and she decided to treat any word out of Chance's mouth as a translate to I don't want you.

The stalking was laughable... the billionaire's security was a joke. And who the hell this woman worked to that they sent people after her to get her back???

This certainly wasn't for me but it's a quick read and if you can completely stop thinking and using your brain, maybe it can even be enjoyable.

What a steamy ride. I was dubious at first if I would love the story as much as I was interested in the smut, but before I knew it, I was laughing out loud and crying with the characters. What a great easy read!

“We’re home.”

This is the second book I’ve read by Summer Hunter and I’m already a new fan!

Tropes:
✨Fake dating
✨Friends to lovers
✨Spicy🌶️
✨Second chances

Let’s get into it.

5 years are down the drain when Maddie caught her boyfriend cheating on her. That’s not all. The very same way she loses her job.

Wanting to escape from the heartbreak and not knowing where life will take her next. Maddie and her best friend take a trip to Magic island.

Will she return and figure out a new job? Will she stay and fall in love with the island?

Things that a turn when Maddie gets stuck in a sticky situation when she runs into Chance.

From someone following her, to her new job. Things aren’t easy for Maddie. But life turns around and she gets everything she’s been hoping for.

I truly enjoyed this book!

Thank you, Summer Hunter, for the EARC! As always, my review is my opinion and thoughts. This review will be shared on my Instagram (@Alexandriavwilliams_) and blog https://www.sidekickstyles.com/blogs/lit-sidekick-chronicles-adventures-in-bookish-bliss shortly.

Thank you NetGalley for gifting me a copy of this book.

It was a nice and easy to read book. Sometimes predictable but that’s usually what’s to be expected so I didn’t mind.

There were three scenes that bothered me because of Maddie’s reaction. It felt unjustified and just annoying. I would have let it go if it was only once but three is a lot. There were all towards the end so it still pains me not to give it 5 stars as the beginning/middle was GREAT (the spicy scenes were fire).

I would still recommend it!

Steamy, Saucy, and Somehow Wholesome???

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC!

This was my first book ever by author Summer Hunter and I absolutely loved it. I am giving it a solid 4.5 stars, but rounding up to 5 since Goodreads doesn't offer half stars.

If I'm being completely honest, I am not a big fan of romance covers with real human faces on them. So I was pretty wary going into this book because I've had some experiences in the past reading books with faces on the cover and being very disappointed by the books' contents.

BUT. Girl, let me tell you. This was amazing. I can totally forgive the cover, 1000000%! Chance and Maddie had my whole heart - right from the start of their encounter. I was completely captivated by their chemistry, and was a huuuuge fan of Maddie's boldness.

The plot itself was exhilarating. I did NOT expect the thriller side of this book, and although it was pretty tame to be considered a real thriller, I thought it played in so well with the rest of the scenes. I was basically on the edge of my seat the entire time trying to figure the mystery out!

This book basically has it all. From insta-lust to forced proximity to billionaire, I was just sooooooo into everything going on between the two characters. Also, I won't lie, I was kinda wishing I was Maddie while reading the book, lol. Oh... and the HEA?! Ugh. Perfection.

The only reason I decided to rate it 4.5 instead of a full 5 stars was because I felt like some of the emotional scenes were a bit rushed and awkward in some ways. For example, I thought that Maddie got irrationally upset over certain things that Chance did throughout the book and wasn't able to understand why.

But other than that, absolute *chefs kiss*. I immediately subscribed to Summer Hunter's mailing list and received the free book "Falling For The Enemy's Daughter" and I am already almost halfway through that one, too.

Run, don't walk to get your hands on this book!
