I wasn't really into this book. I am super glad it was short but I also think that's maybe where it went wrong. It was hard to believe that all of the MCs were that into each other after just 3 or 4 days. Also, very hard to believe that a female from Texas was okay with staying with some random unknown guy in Scottland (and left the door unlocked while bathing). The whole thing was rushed and a tad repetitive. I am totally into a Why Choose but we didn't really get to know much about any of them besides the basics... fun and loving, number lover but serious, emotionally damaged, and a strong-willed Texan. There just wasn't much to this book.
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.
This was a great debut into RH romance, and I look forward to reading the next in the series! Three Scottish men with some mighty good spice? Sign me up.
I won't lie that sometimes I'm put off by RH that includes brothers, but I really appreciated that the dynamic wasn't TOO brotherly between the three. For those who have read lower quality novels with the same relationship, you know what I mean. They still felt like three individuals offering their own different set of wants and care.
I'm excited to see how Manning develops her writing with the first book jitters out of the way, and I hope to read Darcie's story soon!
Thank you NetGalley for access to this book.
The lead character is a nerdy woman who likes numbers, which was something I found easy to relate to. I would’ve liked the plot to be much more developed - to describe more about the character’s conversations with each other, their appearance, and the location. I liked getting the perspective from all four main characters.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Making Her Theirs. However, this book was just not for me. Roughly 40% in I had to stop. There was ZERO plot and it was just hard to read. I get that a lovely plot line / being realistic was not the point of this book but I just kept saying "would never happen" over and over until I was done.
A quick and incredibly spicy reverse harem. Definitely not a slow burn, its hot and heavy from the beginning. If you're looking for a world building story, look elsewhere... if you need a smutty quick fix, continue on.
I'm Scottish, I'm from Edinburgh and I dont mind no spice in my books, but this I could not finish. The Scottish stereotyping, and descriptions of the city were too much for me to ignore.
Taxi drivers and bar owners in Edinburgh do not call you lassie!!! Maybe in the rural highlands but not in the capital, any ounce of research and you would know this. And 'Braveheart' as a knickname? That was horrendous. Most Scottish people dont even like Braveheart because of the historial innacuracies, but again, speaking to an actual Scottish person would have told you this.
Am I also supposed to believe the 3 main characters are Scottish by simply using 'aye' in their dialogue??
I know this book is about the spice with as minimal plot as possible but come on. If you're going to set a book in a different country and have main characters from that country, then dont be lazy. Research and do it accurately or dont do it at all.
Making Her Theirs is a delightful, quick read. Georgia meets Knox, Finn, and Lachlan while in Edinburgh on a business trip. Their whirlwind romance is sweet and spicy.
We get to see quite a bit of development in Lachlan, but less so for the other brothers. Georgia has distinctly different interactions with each brother, which I enjoyed reading. As this book was a bit longer than a novella (159 pages), there wasn't a lot of time to really delve into these relationships. I wanted to see more of their growth as a quad. At one point there was a strange time jump, and I was disappointed that there wasn't any view of what happened during that time. While the end of the book wrapped everything up in a tidy bow, it felt rushed.
I guess I really wanted this story to be a longer book because I liked it and can see it being so much more. That said, I am absolutely going to read the next book when it is released. I enjoyed Lily Manning's writing style and story; I just want more!
I really enjoyed the premise of this story. It is an easy read and so very hot.
Georgie is a sweet & geeky Texan girl who is in Edinburgh for work. She falls for 3 Scottish brothers that own the pub downstairs and the flat where she is staying, and they all fall for her.
Not being opposed to sharing or being shared, they are exactly what they need for each other. There is little to no angst in the story and a whole lot of smut.
This would have easily been a 4 star (or more) read for me but it definitely needs to be edited.
There were a few times when the same piece of clothing was removed or names / positions being mixed up or missing details. If those details get straighten out this would be a fantastic and easy read.
I also like the way is sets up for the next standalone with Darcie, Killian, Mac and Archie.
I couldn’t put the book down once I started. If you enjoy a shorter book that dives right in to the story, this one is for you.
From sexy to sweet, this book gripped me and drew me in like Georgia did with the 3 MMCs. On a scale of 1 spice to absolute drenching filth, I score this a 4/5 filth.
I really enjoyed the way the book explores so many personality types and dives into the desires of each one. I also really loved the way it symbolised Georgia’s needs and wants within these 3 men. That actually, you may not be able to get everything you need or desire from one single thing (in this case person) but it okay to want it and find it and explore it.
All in all I am excited for the next book in this erotic romance series and I urge anyone reading this that enjoys sexy, romantic, FMMM, reverse haram or just a bit of smut, to go and read this book now.
I want to be Georgia. I want the encounters that she has with the three brothers.
Knox who is loyal and intense. Lachlan the loner and Fin the exiting and irresistible one. But collectively one powerful coming together of sexual chemistry.
A super quick but engaging read which will leave you wanting more.
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to see an ARC
ONE DAY. I finished this book in ONE DAY. One sitting. I couldn’t put it down.
It was spicy and exciting! I couldn’t read it fast enough.
I love that Georgia was loved for all of her imperfections. That after being told no by so many men, she had not 1 but 3 men falling for her and worshipping the ground she walked on.
I love how steamy the scenes were, I love that this book left me feeling genuinely happy for the characters.
I’m obsessed and can’t wait to check out Lily’s next read.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a page turner. The perfect book if you are trying to grow your family 😉
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Read, but I love a good RH with a ton of smut.
- Reverse Harem
- Insta Love
- American in Scotland
- Surprise Pregnancy
- Fast Burn
- Multi POV
- Spice (5/5 🌶️)
Georgia is a full blooded southern girl that is staying in Scotland to prepare for a promotion at her job. Finn, Lachlan, and Knox are brothers who own the apartment Georgia is staying in and the pub on the bottom floor.in a whirlwind of her 10 day work trip she finds herself in the middle of the hot three brothers.
For how short this book is there is a decent amount of Character development.
I enjoyed this ARC read from NetGalley
If you love smut you'll love this. Manning gives us a HOT and SPICY read. It's a Reverse Harem. One woman with 3 different males companions. There's just enough back story to get you interested in each of the characters. I love A hot and spicy read. I'd love to read more from Manning. I received This and an arc in exchange for my honest review. I highly Recommend
This was such an easy and fun read! I loved the dynamic between the main characters and how the story flowed together! The spice was definitely spicing! I would definitely read the next book from Lily Manning!

Was this believable? Not really? Did it have a plot? Not one that I followed. Did I read it for the spice alone? prettyyyy much
90:10 smut to plot ratio
The story follows Georgia’s brief visit to Edinburgh, to secure a promotion back in Texas. Here she encounters three brothers, and it quickly turns into a reverse harem Insta-love story .
The plot seemed to take a back seat in this novella-length book, with not much happening to engage the reader. There wasn't any big climax to resolve so it was a light.
Admittedly, I might not have been fully invested in the story, but some parts did come across as confusing.
Character development was somewhat lacking, with the characters being described in a repetitive, role-based manner. The plot was definitely on the back-burner with this book so there isn’t a whole lot going on.
We got a bit about their interests and the repetitive descriptions …. “The protector” “sunshine” etc., but not much deeper than that.
I will admit that a why-choose with blood related brothers is not my fave. I get that this can be taboo and it’s just a story but it feels kinda more odd when it’s not addressed? Idk, if that’s just me 🤷♀️
Georgia was pretty comfortable in going for what she wanted and I enjoyed not listening to a self deprecating inner monologue about her deciding to be with all of them. We also love open communication 👏👏
However, if you’re not a fan of insta-love, this book might not be your cup of tea, as the rapid development of feelings in just a few days definitely strains the limits it’s credibility. Definitely not the most believable plot.
No third act break up so points for that!
In the end, “Making Her Theirs” offers a smutty why choose novella experience for those who enjoy this genre. My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Making Her Theirs by Lily Manning⭐️⭐️⭐️
Georgia is an accountant who loves numbers and Elvis Presley. She finally gets a promotion shes worked hard to get, but first must fly to Scotland for a week to straighten out a major account. There she will meet three gorgeous brothers who will meet a different need for her. With the week quickly ticking by will she choose to follow her heart and stay or return home to the promotion she sacrificed for?
A dirty good time from start to finish. Not much plot (no problems being solved, no big events, etc.) but some character growth is evident. Not a lot of character backgrounds, just enough to understand them. Read it for the bedroom scenes, not the literary aspects. You will have fun.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This is the author's first novel, and I can see much potential for her in the future. I absolutely loved all of the characters and all of the Elvis Presley references. I cannot wait to see where this author goes in the future.
DNF at 30%
I just thought that this book was cringey with stupid coincidences, like she just HAPPENED to not be able to get into her apartment and all of a sudden some sexy man appeared who just HAPPENED to be the brother of the guys she just had…you know what…with.
Some people would definitely enjoy this though, but it’s not for me.
Thank you Netgalley, the publisher and author for the free copy.
This book was very fast-paced, faster than I'm used to, in terms of their relationships so it was a bit hard to follow the progression. I feel like the relationships were established almost as fast as, or even faster than, the characters were fully introduced. Honestly, I just wanted to see more. More of the characters and all their interactions with each other and the side characters involved.
I received an advance reader copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
Making Her Theirs by Lily Manning is a whirlwind romance that takes you on a captivating journey with Georgia, a driven woman from Texas, and three incredibly handsome Scottish brothers – Knox, Finn, and Lachlan. From the moment Georgia sets foot in Edinburgh, her life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters these enchanting men. Each brother has his unique charm, from Knox's intensity and authority to Finn's sunny and adventurous nature and Lachlan's silent but deep understanding.
The story unfolds quickly, and the chemistry between Georgia and the brothers is electric from the start. Lily Manning skillfully navigates the complexities of a reverse harem relationship, and while the book is relatively short, it's packed with passion, romance, and an unbreakable bond between the characters. The only downside is that the ending feels a bit rushed, but it still delivers a satisfying happily-ever-after. Making Her Theirs is a delightful and steamy read, perfect for those who enjoy reverse harem romances and a touch of Scottish allure. I can't wait to see what Lily Manning writes next in this series!
