Look, I'm very easy to please when it comes to smut/erotica. Was this book far-fetched? Yes. Was it original? No. Did I enjoy it? Absolutely.
Arriving in Edinburgh for 10 days to cement her place for an upcoming promotion back in Texas, Georgia runs into three brothers. What follows is a why-choose reverse harem love-fest.
I approached Making Her Theirs with little to no expectations and that definitely went in my favour. This book is more on the novella side when it comes to length (but isn't marketed that way for some reason?. So really getting to know the characters to the depth that is expected is just not possible with the length that this book is. We did get to know each of the characters based on surface level interests, but not much deeper than that. The plot is light, but still enjoyable. There wasn't any big climax to resolve so it was a light and enjoyable read.
When it comes to the characters, some of the dialogue was a little cringe and the Scottish boys calling Maths "math" kind of annoyed me as in the UK it's called maths, but I looked past that. One thing I really loved about this book was that Georgia was so comfortable in her sexuality and what she wanted. There was no "I shouldn't have done that", "why am I like this" type of inner monologue which is something I don't see too often in books that I really appreciated. The brothers' were all loveable in their own way, I'm glad it was why choose because I couldn't have chosen!
I do wish this book was longer so we COULD get to know each of the characters and really connect with the story a little more. But on the overall, it was enjoyable. I finished it in around 2 hours.
Just a small note as well, in the epilogue, the epilogue title is three months later, but in the first paragraph it says Georgia has been in Edinburgh for six months? I don't think that makes sense for the timeline of the story. Maybe it's an error?

Apparently I expected a lot more from this book.
There was no plot in this book, just smut, no character growth or development at all and I also did not like the writing. I would have found the math/elvis jokes endearing at some point if there had been some character growth in this book, but seeing as that did not exist then the math and elvis just felt cringe.
It is insta love which I thoroughly dislike. The FMC had barely arrived in a foreign city for 10 minutes and she was already getting fingered in the rear by a guy on a dancefloor and after this she was having deep conversations with the guys. Ex: she actually said that she knew Knox was a softie deep dpwn despite his rough exterior. How did she reach that conclusion if she hadn't even spoken two words with the guy?
The same happened with Lachlan as well, she had barely spoke to the guy for literally 5 minutes and she was saying she was proud of him, how and why???
The only realistic thing that could have happened in this book was the smut which was actually good.
What put the nail in tthe coffin was actually the unexpected pregnancy at the end, it just made the fmc feel like she framed the guys in some way from the start.
I love a why choose book and this one did have moments of brilliance. I liked Georgia and how she was unapologetic in her love of math and her ability to be good at her job. I liked the small insights that we got into the three brothers' heads and some of the spice scenes were great. But there wasn't enough character development for me as a whole and it wasn't really clear what exactly Georgia's relationship with each individual brother was actually like and so it all seemed a bit insta-lovey for me which isn't always a great thing. There was also no real character development for each of the brothers and so it didn't feel like a complete character arc for me. There were also, unfortunately, some things about the writing style that didn't always mesh well with me and sometimes that took me out of the story.
Short, sweet and spicy! Perfect if you want a quick paced, lust-filled romance story.
“Making Her Theirs” by Lily Manning is a fast-paced, why-choose story that follows Georgia and her time spent in Edinburgh for a recent promotion. She is very likeable as a character, because she is smart, somewhat confident and caring. On day one, she meets three brothers and things heats up pretty early in the story - before you know it Georgia is besotted with all three men.
I was looking for some more chapters on how the characters navigate their new relationship moving forward but instead we are given an epilogue that takes place 3 months later.
Things that were mentioned that I thought were good to include, as it adds a level of maturity to the characters:
- consent, communication and ‘checking in’ throughout the spicy scenes.
- checking everyone has a clean bill of health and that Georgia is on birth control.
Things I struggled with:
- On day one she was very ‘intimate’ with not one, but two of the brothers. This seemed bit premature in the story considering she had only met them a few hours prior and she seemed to have no regard for her personal safety! It would have made more sense if there was a bit of a build up.
- There is one spicy scene where the men swap ‘positions’ going from back ‘entrance’ to front with no mention of how personal hygiene was maintained - we’re all mature enough to know what this would lead to for poor Georgia!
- I’m not a fan of the unexpected pregnancy trope - especially when it is noted that the FMC is on birth control. I know BC can fail but I just find this addition to the story a bit unnecessary. It also doesn’t mention how the male characters feel about this change to their lives, considering their family history.
If you're looking for a super critical review, this isn't it. We can joke about how corny some of the words and phrases are and how the romance & sex is over the top but that's what this genre is. I have to say, I am impressed. Lily Manning is a new author in the genre and this is her first book. This story is less than 150 pages, but she makes the most of them with plenty of *spice*. There is some plot and backstory for our characters, but let's be honest, who's here for the plot? I would say there's enough of it to break up the spicy scenes and keep readers wanting more. The ending was...something that happened lol to each their own! I'm not interested in the plausibility or logistics of the story, I'm here for a good time and that is what I got. I'm not interested in the plausibility or logistics of the story, I'm here for a good time and that is what I got.
This was a quick, SPICY read! I enjoyed how different each of the brothers were, and I really liked Georgia as an fmc! Not a lot of plot, but if you’re looking for something with a lot of spice, this is a fun one!
Making Her Theirs tells the story of Georgia, a southern girl who is on a ten-day business trip in Edinburgh. Her first night there, she meets Knox, Finn and Lachlan, the owners of a pub and other real estate- including the place she'll be staying while in town. Did I mention they're also brothers, and two of the three are very familiar with the concept of sharing? There is an instant attraction, and the spiciness ensues.
I really enjoyed this book, more than I thought I would when I began reading. I like when there is more of a slow burn, and this why-choose romance kicks off pretty much immediately. Which hey, if that's how you like your romance books to go, then you'll really love this one. Each of the brothers is dealing with trauma from being abandoned by their parents, and Georgia factors in to how they begin to heal. Georgia has her own baggage as well, but it doesn't seem to impede her life the way it does with the brothers.
I'd recommend this book for readers who like a light, fun read with great spice and a HEA.

•I received an arc of this upcoming release in exchange for my honest review. Making Her Theirs by Lily Manning will be available August 23rd.•
I could not get through this book. I tried to push past the writing and I could not. I had many issues with the book, but mainly it was with the descriptions of things.
Some examples-
"Math is my crack. Calculus makes my mouth water."
-(this is not the first mention of crack)
"Working through a convoluted tax law is feeding me cotton candy."
-(what does this even mean? that its hyping her up like sugar would?)
"It makes me wet."
-(why? this is just not needed at all, is she horny or is she hyperactive because its like feeding her cotton candy)
"(we just passed half a brightly painted cow sticking out of a wall)"
-(out of everything that could have been written why this?)
"by Romeo or Juliet, my longed-for dog, because that book took four hundred hours to read and i want those hours back having fun chasing my dog. Ill be the happiest girl in candy land."
(this paragraph of a sentence really through me... because what does this even mean to say?)
"he looked like he wrote the math questions for jeopardy and gave me a thumbs up."
(i just.. huh?)
"Dusk sweeps dusty golds and ribbons of soft red against the cobblestones."
-(trying way to hard here to be different, "the colors of the setting sun painting the streets/town in a golden hue")
"pounding the streets,"
-(what is? no comma before this about phones to their ears. is it there feet? because it isn't said)
"all slotted together in a cozy rush"
-(again trying to hard to be different, "haphazardly put together" would have sufficed and been more enjoyable to read)
"push open the door to the pub and stop dead. to say this place is packed is like saying the taj mahal is a small fishing shack some guy slung together."
-(yes this is word for word.... and again trying way to hard to be different and original. Its leading to the most unhinged weird sentences I've ever read in a book before. These make absolute zero sense.)
"Like a moth to a flame or Pythagorean to a theorem i have to get closer."
-(pick one or the other, the reader will either get it or they won't.)
"man magic."
-(why.. just why??)
"That's about as likely to happen to me as Elvis and Bob Marley playing Wembley stadium with Kurt Cobain singing backup."
-(again why? These descriptors sound like something a teenager would put together when they have no idea what they are trying to describe. Their both dead we get it, it will never happen. But no everyone knows who either of these two are. trying to hard to be original/different)
"we'd all rather eat shit on toast with jiz gravy than discuss feelings."
-(i don't know a single man that thinks or talks like this. what even is this sentence. This is one of the most ignorant misogynistic alpha man sentence that is playing on stereotypes. As a women even i know this is just to much)
"but Lachlan's hide in his marrow."
-(again trying to hard to be original/different with descriptors)
"My voice is breathy like im Malibu Barbie sucking on helium."
-(The most absolute cringe feeling i got from this sentence alone made me want to stop reading this book.)
"Tall and ripped like a rugby player ate a quarterback."
-(why..is this a sentence)
These were just some of the things i had an issue with regarding the writing. The story might have been good but i could not get past this point, because of this writing style.
There were just to many of these types of descriptions and sentences that i could not continue. Some times less is more. In the most respectful way i can say this, the writing is trying to hard to be different. The writing felt juvenile, especially Knox's POV's. So many of the sentences themselves made no sense to me or for the plot. I was really hoping to like this why choose but I just could not get passed this.
OMG I LOVED IT!!!! FOR her first reverse harem I gotta say she executed the hell out of the trope!!! For the first time I actually couldn't pick a favorite brother as they all had something about them you just had to love. I do wish we could have seen more character development however all in all this was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me and 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ was perfection . When Finn took her on the bar 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵!
Lily Manning did the damn thing!!!
Two pages into this book, I almost DNFed it.
There’s not much of a plot, just a lot of sexy time with three “hot” brothers (which is not my kink, but to each their own). The timeline moves unrealistically fast and in my opinion does too much. It would have made more sense in my opinion if the MC was there for a 10 day vacation rather than a 10 day job share.
Honestly, if you go in just for the SMUT you’ll probably enjoy this first book by this author. If you’re looking for a romance novel with a strong plot look elsewhere.
Book provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
If you are looking for something quick, light on the drama and plot, but high on the spice..this one’s for you. This is definitely one of the cheesier why choose’s I have read in awhile, but overall I found it enjoyable.
I read this is literally one sitting. Although I would say this isn't the best written book, but I couldn't stop reading it! Plenty of spice, definitely an actual story and not just sex. I will definitely reading more from this author
Making Her Theirs 2/5💜
This Why Choose store about Georgia and her three hotter than sin men is a fast paced erotic story that seems to pull you in from the very first line. While it was good, it was horribly repetitive and some scenes/positions seemed impossible or bordering on incestuous. The final spice scene left room for lots of ick and the author totally glanced over the fact that not everyone wants to go from backdoor play into someone's mouth. I'm grateful for the ARC but this author definitely needs more polishing.
I want to thank Netgalley and lily manning for allowing me to read the arc in exchange for an honest review.
Georgia Presley Henry is in Scotland for a 10 day work assignment and on her first night she meets 2 brothers who tagteam her in an ally outside the pub they own. They all fall fast for her immediatly despite all men saying they would never settle down or find love.
They all open up to her very quickly and she to them. I found it odd that Georgia only talks about being from Texas despite saying they would move all over for her fathers baseball career. I quite enjoyed that Georgia wasn't short like so many fmc, I also loved that Knox, Finn, & Lachlan were all different and showed their love in different ways. The spice was ok but felt repetitive and so rushed, 5seconds into meeting Knox he was using his hand to get her off on the dance floor. When Knox breaks into the bathroom and just decides to share her with his younger brother Lachlan and she just completely willing.
One part that didn't work for me was the scene where they all swapped places... the infection that would cause! It's fictional I know but it took me out of the book. Also the smelling her arousal in the air gave me shifter vibes not normal human men.
I didn't like that she would wilt/sag/fall over and they would need to hold her up to then have sex with her either it felt wrong. She was so tired but these men just kept taking advantage?
I'm hoping the next book is better. I saw that this is the authors first RH so I hope to see some growth in their writing
Thank you to NetGalley for supplying me with an eARC of this book!
Holy shit this book was good! I love how fast paced everything was and how much detail everything was! This is the best reverse haram book I’ve read!
Highly recommend for anyone looking into starting to read reverse haram books!
2.25⭐️ just meh. Got bored at the end. There were too many times where I felt like I was confused with what was going on, and for how short this book is, that seems problematic. The spice was delicious at first but got repetitive. And I have a real problem with that last spice scene. Won’t go into details but the sequence of events was not safe or sanitary sooooo that’s a nope for me…. If this was a full size novel I might have liked this more.
Plot 2/5
🌶️ 4/5
Fast paced. Easy to read. The plot just fell flat. The spice was good but there was a few thing that were unhygienic. You could not tell that they were in Scotland. The guys said few words In Scottish. But their accents just weren’t there. Decent book would continue to read the series
Making Her Theirs is a why choose romance set in Edinburgh, Scotland where on a 10 day stay, Georgia Henry meets three brawny brothers who run the bar below her rented flat. Before returning to the states to her new home, she falls in love simultaneously with the lightheaded Finn, possessive Knox, and the broken and soft-hearted Lachlan.
I gotta say, I wasn’t into this story. I really ought to DNF books more often. To be completely honest, it wasn’t much of a story at all. I know that is erotica and is serving a sexual purpose but I feel as though this genre works even better if used in conjunction with a legitimate story with tension and dynamic characters.
Honestly, I get the sense that this author’s taste in writing sex would be more suited to the Omega-verse. While steamy, the sex in this book was very hard to take seriously. None of these men have even a few minutes of a refractory period but instead can have sex basically endlessly. Additionally, smelling pheromones and human scents are referenced so often in this book that it has me wondering what kind of werewolf hybrids these characters have to be. Multiple times it was said that one of the brothers would cut down or kill any man that dare hurt Georgia. Like, sir, you are a civilian. Act like it. The cherry on top was when we find out that Georgia’s friend (who we don’t meet page 100) has mauve eyes. Like her eyes are purple. 🤣 maybe the author can pivot and make bank in the omega-verse market.
More specifically what I didn’t like:
The emotional whiplash from Georgia. Especially in the beginning of the story when she was meeting the brothers and exchanging life stories, Georgia would go from laughing to tearing up to laughing in a matter of sentences. It made her character more frustrating than likable or relatable.
The unbelievable characters and setting. Georgia is described to have moved all across the states because of her fathers career, never settling in one place. Yet somehow she has a thick Southern accent like she’s lived in the south her whole life. In terms of the boys, sure, they’ll use a Gaelic term or Scottish slang here and there but past that, their personalities and thought processes feel almost identical to each other and even to Georgia. Not a lot of effort was put into creating distinct and separate feelings for each chapter.
The sex. While very steamy sometimes, a lot of the times the sex had me cringing about how unhygienic and unrealistic it is. You can’t be giving it from the back raw and then switch to the front and then switch to her mouth without cleaning up! That’s a recipe for all sorts of problems! Also, the brothers seemed as though they needed to all have sex with Georgia at the same exact moment which gave a level of incest to the story that I was not prepared to experience. Like, yeah, maybe you’ve all agreed to share her and love her but that doesn’t mean you need to all participate at the same time even if it is exciting for her. The positioning was also often unclear or anatomically impossible.
There’s much more to say like phrasing or reactions that were very odd but I think it’s clear that I just don’t have a high opinion about anything in this book. It’s a 1/5 stars for me that one star is only for Lachlans snuggling and hair combing aftercare.
I wouldn’t recommend.

Making Her Theirs by Lily Manning
“A door in front of me opens, and I gasp as all three shirtless brothers walk into the room.”
Making Her Theirs is the first book in the Unbreakable Bonds series by Lily Manning that follows Georgia Presley Henry arriving in Scotland. Georgia is in Scotland for a ten-day employment opportunity following a promotion at her Dallas accounting firm. The first night, Georgia meets three men; Knot, Finn and Lachlan, who turn out to be brothers that own and run a local bar; The King’s Head. Each brother has a unique personality that compliments Georgia. You follow this growing relationship between Georgia and the three brothers for the ten days that Georgia is living in a flat above The King’s Head and see if their lust and love can keep them together when her contract ends.
This was a quick, full of spice book. I loved that Georgia was smart and in a field that showed her intelligent. It was exciting to get to read from each of the brother’s perspective. While the story lacked some character development and felt a little repetitive at times, with the love story feeling a little unrealistic for the timeline, it was fun to read. The spice begins almost immediately and keeps getting dirtier and dirtier as the pages progress. I look forward to seeing how the Unbreakable Bonds series progresses in the next book.
Thank you to NetGalley, and Lily Manning for sharing a copy of your e-ARC to read.

Steam & Sweetness galore!
A quick and {dirty} easy read -- with little-to-no angst or a 3rd act breakup. The main character is far from her family and has never truly found her "home" with anyone to love or cherish her. Low and behold...she walks right into a building where three HOT Scots proceed to consume her mind body & soul. I definitely could have used a little more build up, but I'm never one to complain when the steam is hot. Definitely a read for when you don't want to delve too deep into character backgrounds or messy relationship statuses.
