This is exactly what I expected, but not really everything I wanted. I couldn’t really connect to any of the characters, especially the FMC. But if you want a quick, dirty, instalust smutty read, this will do it for ya! 🖤
I feel this book could have been my cup of tea as I usually enjoy these tropes but I could not find myself engaged while reading it, I felt we needed more character development and not just the smut. I like smut, but smut with no story is really not that interesting. We started off well with the story introduction but 30 pages in we get the insta-love and then it’s just smut from there. Don’t get me wrong, really good, fans-one-self smut, but I felt it was missing something.
Smut the f*ck. Some might say this is just 135 pages of straight debauchery and I would be inclined to agree. Also, I'm absolutely here for it. 'Making Her Theirs' is a quick and dirty why choose reverse harem smutfest. So if that sounds like your thing - get ready to dive right in!
Soon after flying into Edinburgh from her Texas hometown, Georgia's planned business trip turned into something all about her pleasure. It gets hot and heavy immediately, starting with popping downstairs to the pub for a beverage and bumping into two irresistible brothers with a penchant for sharing. I think by page 20 our FMC has been cajoled outside and taken into a dark passageway, to be well.. taken in her dark passageway. And to think, all she asked for was a stiff drink. By the time brother number 3 has rocked up to save her from a sticky situation, she's done for.
You can rest assured that despite the family ties, there's no brother-on-brother action. However, they are all enthusiastic participants, with Georgia being intimate with 1, 2 or 3 of the guys at a time. Brothers in reverse harem romances aren't unheard of, it's just something to note, as it may bother some readers. Also, as much as I can appreciate just how good these boys are at taking turns.. there's also one particular scene (reminds me of a revolving door) that left me with some feelings, spelt with a pH.
Thank you Innes Field LLC and Lily Manning for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
This is not good. There's no plot, it's not written well, and it clearly exists to scratch an itch for people who enjoy erotica for erotica's sake, but I needed there to be some plot, some character development, some "why" besides "I want to be dominated and have a man be in charge of my body and my life" like this is 1950.
Thank you to Innes Field LLC and NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
What should have been a straightforward visit for work turns into a steamy adventure as our heroine encounters three brothers who all seem to draw her fancy in their own way. The title overall was not quite for me as the main character annoyed me somewhat and I wasn't as fond of the relationship dynamics.
I liked this book. While a fast read for me, I got into the characters and felt their story was well written and while the author went out on a limb, so to speak, with a genre not often approached, Ms. Manning did it with grace and charm. I felt for the brothers: Finn, Knox, and Lachlan. I think Georgia was just what they needed.
Making Her Theirs
by Lily Manning
Shortly after arriving in Scotland, Georgia meets three incredibly attractive brothers that make any readers reverse harem dreams come true. Georgia is lucky enough to be able to enjoy all three and fall for them. A short novella due to its length, I found it intriguing although a bit unrealistic which was fine by me. I was able to escape into a story I wouldn’t normally escape into. I fully enjoyed the storyline and all of the spice. If you’re looking for a quick, to the point, incredibly spicy book then this is for you!
Thank you to NetGalley and Innes Field LLC for this ARC
This was a quick and easy read. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this. I understand that this won't be everyones cup of tea, but if you're looking for a bit of smut and RH fun, then this is the book for you.
• Reverse Harem
• 3 Brothers x 1 Girl
• MINE
• Love at first sight
This was my first book from this author, so im not sure if this is their typical writing style, or just the fact that it was their first RH book, but I feel like it was very smut centered and the story lacked depth, what was very disappointing, because I liked the characters and the setting of the Scottish pub.
The interactions between the four main characters were really good, the spicy scenes are well written, but other than that not much have happened.
There was a lot of repetitiveness with the characters describing characteristics of each character. Every few pages one of the brothers would describe his and his brothers' usual behaviour. I wish the book had more plot, so we could actually get to know them rather than be told how they behave.
The ending was also a bit disappointing, it felt rushed. 80% of the book was smut and then then a fast forward to their happy ever after.
It was a quick read and I enjoyed it, but I just don't feel fully satisfied.
Thank you, NetGalley for providing me with an e-ARC copy of this book.
This was a concise and spicy reverse harem story!
I liked the humor of the FMC and her shining personality. She has been a very easygoing and down-to-earth girl pursuing her dreams when she came to Scotland and met the MMCs of the story.
Spice was next-level HOT.
What I liked the most about this book was the characters' varied personalities. The female character was strong and sweet. Though I have to say the three brothers without a paranormal element was weird for me.
I'd recommend to those that enjoy a steamy romance with some character interaction and not much plot.
If you are in the hunt for a straight to smut story to read in a day look no further!
This is a spicy reverse harem story. The author is very detailed in order to really bring out the scene.
There are two areas that I believe could really lend some strength to the novel: pacing and enhanced character development.
The characters are a touch too perfect (even with the flaws mentioned) , and while perfect for a dream it was challenging for me to relate to them.
Overall it is a solid 3 stars and I would absolutely read another novel from this author
I love how spicy this was! The way you see the build of each of the relationships with each of the men and the dynamic of their relationship as a whole is 🥵
Thank you NetGalley and the author for this amazing opportunity! Can’t wait to share this book with friends once it’s released
Georgia moves to Scotland from Dallas,Tx for work and a fresh start. What she finds are 3 beautiful men, which seem to be what her life is missing. Oh, and if that was enough they just happen to be brothers. The is definitely not a slow burn .
"Making Her Theirs" introduces a captivating tale set in the vibrant city of Edinburgh, where the protagonist finds herself entangled with three strikingly handsome Scottish brothers. The novel delves into the complexities of desire, possession, and an unbreakable bond as the brothers embark on a passionate journey to claim the protagonist as their own.
While the story promises a happy ending and explores themes of love and fulfillment, it is important to note that the narrative may contain sexually explicit material or subject matter that could potentially be contentious for certain readers. The premise of the novel holds promises for an electrifying adventure filled with romance, passion, and unyielding love.
However, the portrayal of relationships and desires may not resonate with all readers, and the novel's execution may require a more nuanced approach to fully engage and captivate its audience. "Making Her Theirs" presents an intriguing concept but falls short in delivering a truly compelling and immersive experience, warranting a three-star rating.
Hot hot hot! Loved it! When Georgia sets off to Scotland for 10 days for her company, she finds more than she was searching for, and they are hot!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own
3 stars
I liked the overall concept of the story, just not the rushed execution. The second she walks into the bar, within less than an hour of arrival to a new country she is having sexual interactions. It really needed to be stretched out a bit to make it believable.
Thanks to #Netgalley for letting me read this advanced reader copy. I really enjoyed the idea of this book! Overall it was a good book. I just personally feel like the writing wasn’t as advanced as most of the books I read.
Hot, hot, hot! That’s all I have to say about this reverse harem story. I loved how it wasn’t all about the sex and was a good story with a happy ending that included a brainy main character. Of course there are plenty of scorching scenes as well. Definitely recommend it and will be reading more of this series.
Okay, buckle up for "Making Her Theirs" – the literary joyride you never knew you needed
Meet Georgia Presley Henry, the brainy math whiz who jets off to Edinburgh for a 10-day promotion quest, leaving her Dallas comfort zone behind, including the dream house waiting for her and a future dog named Romeo or Juliet. Now, things get wild at the pub below her rented apartment, where she encounters two heartthrobs who turn her world upside down.
First up, Knox – the dominant, nerdy business maven who decides to give Georgia his first kiss. Then there's Finn, the charismatic pub owner and Elvis Presley fanatic who quotes Elvis lyrics to serenade Georgia. With a talent for making Roly Poly moments just for them to share, he adds an extra layer of charm. Enter Lachlan, the silent, moody architect and resident fixer who not only reads her like an open book but also worships her like the goddess she truly is. Oh, and did I mention he's also a hair stylist? Cue the swoons!
Now, let's talk steamy scenes. From intimate one-on-ones to daring threesomes and foursomes, Lily doesn't hold back. It's so steamy it'll turn your face as red as a ripe tomato – consider yourself warned! Yet, amidst the heat, each of the three men expresses their love for Georgia in unique ways, creating a deliciously complicated romance web.
“Love is light, freedom no bullet in the gun
Love is floating, fleeting, a lyric always sung
Love is Sunday mimosas, sandwiches , holding back your hair
Love is an Angel, algebra, knowing you’ll be there
You are my light, my sunshine, my singing in the rain
My forever, my lover, with you I’m born again
To be loved by you is an addiction, free-falling, making me reach higher
You are my want
My need
My ever desire.”
And can we talk about the writing? Beautiful doesn't even cut it. Lily nails the reverse harem genre, weaving a narrative that's equal parts passion and plot. No faults found here; it's a flawless masterpiece.
Ladies and gentlemen, if you're in the market for a page-turner that's equal parts sizzle, substance, and a touch of Elvis magic, "Making Her Theirs" is your go-to. Lily's reverse harem brilliance will leave you craving more – a literary feast you won't soon forget.
