I'll admit, it took me a while to read this one. I blame all those TikTok recommendations! But seriously, once I finally had enough of the Fae, I decided I needed something in this world. Mr. Cocky, while a bit slow to start, might actually be one of my favorite contemporary romance's that I've read. Theo comes across as grumpy, but is truly a teddy bear. Maxine is a wonderful character dealing with a lot of family issues, running her business, and trying to earn enough savings to do an internship with a famous photographer. The girl has a lot going on, okay? She's tattooed, confident, and bold and I love her! The relationship between Theo and Maxine is a wonderful friendship to more with a slower build. Highly recommend and I can't wait to go back and read the first two in the series.

This book is a charming romantic tale about Maxine and Theo, who initially enter into a platonic agreement but find themselves drawn into a passionate relationship. Despite resisting a deeper connection due to insecurities, external voices insist they are meant to be together. The plot, while occasionally predictable, incorporates enough surprises and twists to maintain reader engagement. The pacing is generally well-handled, though the ending feels rushed at times. Secondary characters, particularly Theo's mother, add depth to the narrative. Leslie North's engaging writing style and vivid descriptions bring the story's settings to life. Overall, "Mr. Cocky" is an enjoyable romantic adventure with well-developed characters, palpable chemistry, and a mix of humor and passion, making it a recommended read for those seeking a lighthearted yet steamy story.

And there it was: the final installment of the Mr. Series. Usually Leslie’s trio’s are published shortly after one another. But this trio was further apart. As a result, you can read them perfectly as a standalone. There are some references to the other characters, but there is no interaction between the characters of the different stories. There is a lot of interaction between the main characters though.

These enemies-at-first-sight dislike each other from the start: she sees an arrogant jerk with an ego the size of Manhattan. And he sees a sleeping-on-the- job-and-not-used-to-authority kind of girl. But when he introduces her as his girlfriend to a potential business partner, they get stuck. Now Mr. Cocky has to choose: keep up the charade or potentially loose the business partner he has been trying to get on board (literally as well).

So he offers her an insane amount to act as his girlfriend for the next week. But you know what they say about make believe: you can end up believing it yourself…. As usual with Leslie, sparks are flying and the attraction is undeniably. So, enjoy the ride: four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

The third book in Leslie North's Billionaire Bossholes series.

Max only took a break for a little while still on the job and when she was woken up, she ended up yelling at Theo who also happens to be her boss. She agreed to his proposal of fake dating.

I love a fake dating story, however, this one isn't for me. The couple had no chemistry and the story kept dragging.

This is the third and final book of the series. I loved the whole series.

This book follows Max and photographer and Theo a billionaire who owns a charter yacht business. Max is hired to take photos of the yachts for marketing purposes and falls asleep on the boat.

Through a bunch of different circumstances Theo asks Max to play his fake girlfriend for a few months and in return she will get the money she needs for an internship with a prestigious photographer. Win, win right?!

Classic they fall in love but don’t want to admit it story.

I love billionaire books, not sure why. The tension of having feeling but they shouldn’t was great. Steamy!!!

Thank you NetGalley for the copy in exchange for my honest review.

Photographer, Maxine, overwhelmed by work, accidentally falls asleep and wakes up to find Theo Barnes, her grumpy billionaire client, looking down at her.

Instead of getting fired, she's offered a lucrative deal: to be Theo's pretend girlfriend for a day. What starts as a one-time arrangement soon extends to a family wedding, thanks to Theo's mother's insistence. As they navigate their pretend relationship, sparks fly, leading to rule-breaking kisses and scorching intimacy.

This romance novel combines heat, humour, and the complexities of love, making it an engaging and steamy read.

Maxine is a photographer and Theo owns yachts. He finds her sleeping on one of his after a photo shot and she thinks he is going to fire her when actually he wants to spend more and more time with her to the point where he is interrupting other photo shots of hers. A really good fun story with good characters, a good easy read.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the 3rd in a series, but reads well as a stand alone. I have not read all of the others. This is a predictable, but super fun book. The characters were so much fun! This book made me smile, and sometimes thats all I need. I loved Maxine and Theo. Well worth the read 4 stars

Mr. Cocky is the 3rd book in the 'Billionare Bosshole' series by Leslie North. Theo and Max have a sweet relationship. I enjoyed their chemistry and the challenges they faced in the stories. The only drawback for me is that Theo isn't really a 'bosshole', during the entire story he is caring and supportive of Max and her family.

When Max is woken up after falling asleep on a yacht when she should have been working, she wasn’t expecting to be yelling at her new boss (and hot billionaire) Theo. She also wasn’t expecting to agree to fake date him before they return to land.

This was a nice, easy read as we followed their fake dating plot. The chemistry was there between the two MCs and the dual POV brought us in to both side of the story which, I think, improved the connection between the characters.

Thanks to #NetGallery and the publisher #WWCrown. I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Mr. Cocky is the third book in the Billionaire Bossholes series written by the pseudonym Leslie North.

Billionaire Theo is struggling because his mother thinks he needs a proper girlfriend, but he doesn't really know what one of those is - he's more into the one night stand and arm candy variety.

Max is working as a photographer and manages to fall asleep on the bed on the yacht she is currently photographing.

Upstairs on the yacht, Theo is trying to seal a deal with a skilled yacht builder and his wife. Unfortunately the wife is doing everything to stop the deal unless Theo does her bidding in the bedroom.

Theo and Max agree to enter a fake relationship and some hilarity ensures.

Quick, easy read to while away an hour or two. Nothing too surprising, although I am not keen on the short cut to HEA.

So Leslie North and the collection of writer's elves produced another series. I've tried 1 from her Sheikh collection, 1 from Navy SEAL, this one seemed different. The title alone tried to establish more hero attitude than convey the book summary like her the Sheik's Fake Courtship or the Navy SEAL's Pregnant Girlfriend sort of titles.

This one read a bit differently, too. I liked that our bossy billionaire came from humble beginnings which gave him more relatable origin story. I liked the chemistry between our main characters. What I'm disappointed with is how Leslie typically brings in the surprise pregnancy to complicate matters and get to HEA. Do we all need a baby to be complete? Wouldn't it be possible to get to HEA without adding it into the story as a device?

Nevertheless, of the few I've read from her, this one kept me hooked. I hated to put it down and wanted to know what was coming next.

Loved reading the engaging and captivating romance story. While on a shoot taking pictures, Maxine accidentally falls asleep and is awakened by the owner of the yacht, Theo. Theo wants a deal to go through, but the wife keeps making a pass at him, so he offers Max an obscene amount of money to pretend to be his fake girlfriend. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a riveting love story by the awesome author, Leslie North.

I really enjoyed this steamy romance. The story was captivating, Theo and Max makes a great pair. I liked their interactions, their emotional journey and their chemistry. Max was so real and down-to-earth, and Theo was much more than the exterior suggests. They face bumps and struggle with past traumas in the relationship but eventually they are able to cope and realize that they are meant to be. It’s the perfect steamy romance with emotional depth.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of the book.

I was expecting more "enemies to lovers" and less pregnancy trope, so I was somewhat turned off by this book. I hate an unplanned pregnancy. The spice in this book was ok. The story does move along and the characters have personality and are at least somewhat interesting.

I have read many books by "Leslie North". I've really liked most of them. Mr. Cocky is the first I have read in this series, so I can't speak to the others, but this one is really good and is my favorite Leslie North book to date. We get to follow Max and Theo from their meet cute, through their fake relationship, to their happy ending and I enjoyed the entire ride. Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy.

DNF at 50%.

This book I thought was good at first but as I continued to read it became more unlikeable. There were some parts I think were a little redundant as they said the same exact thing in another chapter. I found myself skimming some of the pages just to see if I could get any new information. I would definitely take out some of the parts that were repeated.
