Impostor by Susanne Winnacker is an engaging thriller with a dash of sci-fi. It follows Tessa, a Variant who can mimic others, as she’s assigned to catch a killer by impersonating a victim. The concept of shape-shifting adds a unique twist to the mystery, and Tessa’s struggle with identity and trust keeps you invested. The suspense builds well, with some great action scenes and twists, though a few parts feel predictable. If you enjoy crime thrillers with a supernatural edge, Impostor offers a fresh, gripping story that blends mystery and paranormal elements perfectly.

I gave feedback on this title quite some time ago. It suddenly reappeared on my shelf after the addition of audiobooks. I contacted Netgalley a week ago and have heard nothing back so am getting these off my shelf this way.
