This is the first book in the Misty Falls series and also a first time read for me by this author. The story was light-hearted and cute and I had a fun time reading it. Josie is desperate for a change of pace and scenery, so she swaps places with her best friend and leaves the hustle and bustle of city life and decides to go to a more quiet and laid back life in Misty Falls. She ends up rooming with her friend's brother Rake, who is back home for a bit trying to prepare for the role of a lifetime, and he doesn't have time for romance. But when he meets Josie, he can't help but fall for her. There is just something about her that draws him in completely.
While the story was a light-hearted read, it also took us down a path of self-discovery and finding peace. The story is wholesome and fun, and drew me from the very start. Definitely had some humorous and cute parts that had me smiling and laughing along the way. If you're looking for a quick, light and fun read, this is definitely the book to pick up. I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This clean, small town, fun Rom-Com had me laughing out loud at moments. I didn't want to put this down. It was so good! I absolutely adored this. I'm so going to have to read the rest of this series. And I loved Eden Blooms writing style!
I just reviewed Yoga One For Me by Eden Bloom. #YogaOneForMe #NetGalley

A quick little romantic comedy that has some cute moments and a lot of laughs. I found this book to be more YA than anything else. It’s a good intro to romance reading for teens. Cute little quirks and themes about bullying and friendship.
Would recommend to a younger audience that wants to branch into romance novels.
Wanted to like this tale, but the characters were just so immature and not really like people the age they're supposed to be - teenagers might've had more of a sound head on their shoulders. Sadly, didn't lend to an enjoyable read consequently

Title: Yoga One For Me
Author: Eden Bloom
Genre: romcon
Trope: small town romance, best friends brother
Format: ereader
Length: 280 pages
Book summary:
Josie is a yoga instructor who has talked her best friend into swapping places with her while she sorts out her life.
Leaving her boyfriend after he proposed to her, josie doesn't want to get into another relationship. But after running into her best friends brother things might change.
My thoughts:
This book was an easy quick read. It was enjoyable while reading with a bit of banter between the two characters. But to be honest it's not a very memorable book.
I loved how josie overcome her fear of confrontation with other people, deciding to stand up for herself so she didn't have to be miserable with people telling her how to live her life.
I recommend this book if you like small town romances and best friends brother Trope. But there is no spice.
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟
Josie switched places with her best friend but she was not aware that her brother would also be at home for summer.
Different lifestyles, different carreer options and some states beetween them.
Funny and lovely.
have fun reading!
Yoga One for Me was unfortunately a miss for me. Don't let that deter you though- you might love it. Despite the dual POV I didn't connect to the characters or relate to their problems. I love celebrity romances, but this barely touched on that. I'm also a yoga teacher and didn't like Josie. I wanted to love it for the yoga teacher representation, but didn't. The ferrets are cute and Josie and Raine's relationship is great. For me their friendship was the more compelling relationship of the story.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this eARC.
This book was super cute! It was perfect for a cozy summer read. Some parts felt pretty extra dramatic and became pretty silly. Like the parents immediately forgiving her when she became engaged. The conclusion felt pretty choppy but the rest of the book was pretty enjoyable and left you feeling all warm and fuzzy. I really loved the MC, as a chronic people pleaser she felt very relatable to me.
I was given an ARC by NetGalley. It appears it was published independently previously.
My Rating is 3.0 Stars, 0 Chili Peppers
First off do not read this book expecting spice, we get kissing at that’s about it!
Ok on to the story. Josie is running away from her problems. Bad ex-boyfriend, horrible parents, and no backbone to deal with any of it. Rake is home to prepare for the part he hopes will be his breakout role and doesn’t have time for anything romantic. But after crashing into each other literally, their lives are about to change course forever.
What I liked: I liked seeing Josie grow a spine, it was great to watch her tell the people trying to run her life to fly a kite! I liked her friend Raine and how supportive she is and I liked how easily Josie makes friends. Her relationship with Rake is cute and funny and has some great moments.
What I didn’t like: I hate the miscommunication troupe! Why can’t people just talk to each other??? I understand Josie not communicating, it's the crux of her problem, but Rake doesn’t have that problem so why is he not a better communicator? Unfortunately, there are a lot of miscommunications in this book. It is a bit of a book turn-off for me. I hated the ex-boyfriend and loved that he got what he deserved.
Here is another problem with this book, inconsistencies. People throughout this book are drawn to Josie easily and automatically love and trust her, unless they are not, then it's insta-enemies for petty reasons or no reason at all. There are a lot of other small inconsistencies throughout this book too.
This review sounds really critical, and I don’t want it to! It is a cute read, but like most books by new authors, it has issues. I don’t think I will be continuing the series though.
It didn't hold my attention. DNF.

I tried really hard to get into this book but the writing was… terrible. It is repetitive and does a lot of telling not showing. 30 pages in and nothing has happened except Josie getting to the house. There is SO much focus put on weird things like Josie eating Rake’s food, why?? I had high hopes and tried to make myself finish this book but I just could not do it.
The storyline was definitely a little hectic for me but I’m a sucker for anything pride and prejudice! I loved the dual POV and the great MMC. The story was funny and definitely kept me entertained!
Josie needs to get away from her life for awhile after her boyfriend proposes and realizes that she's on the wrong path. She switches places with her bestie, who lives on the other side of the country, to spend the summer at her friend's small town beach house to get away.
Only her friend's brother Rake is there for the summer, too. The two of them don't get along at first, but he has his own stuff to deal with. In classic romcom style, the two learn to tolerate each other, become friends, and fall in love. There's a journey of self discovery and growth, a wonderful cast of characters in Misty Falls, and fun banter between Josie and Rake.
I really enjoyed this forced proximity slow burn small town romance. It's a quick fun read.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced digital reader's copy (ARC) in exchange for an honest review!
This book was such a rollercoaster for me - it went from a 4 star book to a 5 star book down to a 3 star book. I am such a sucker for anything Pride and Prejudice, and I honestly felt like this book didn't do it enough justice. Just being set in a place called Austen, and having a festival about Pride & Prejudice does not equate to relating the books to one another.
Our FMC was hot and cold - she honestly drove me a little crazy. It felt like she couldn't make up her mind as to whether or not she wanted to be with Brodie, and he deserved better. Both Brodie's family and Vivian's family were awful, but we only hear about Vivian's family once. It would have been nice to have some resolution with BOTH families, but especially Brodie's as his family played a much larger part in the story. The third act drama was a bit much, especially considering it wasn't the big "break-up" scene.
This story starts off super cute and sweet - and then out of nowhere, once Brodie and Vivian have agreed they like each other, it felt like we read more about their sexual encounters than anything else. I also am unsure of the obsession with monster romance books...they're great, but that isn't what this book was.
Honestly, I had my hopes set high for this one and maybe they were a little too high.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you, NetGalley and Eden Bloom, for this ARC!
"Yoga One For Me" is a romcom about Josie, a yoga instructor who is taking the summer to find herself in a new town and meets an unexpected roommate, Rake. Sparks fly and both Rake and Josie have to face their growing feelings for each other.
While this book has all the ingredients for a can't-put-it-down romantic read, it does not reach its full potential. I almost did not finish this book because I found the main character unrealistic (she does not know the difference between a TV show and a movie) and unlikable. Some parts of the book even felt repetitive and lackluster. Also, part of the problem resolution was anticlimactic. I expected more.
Overall, some readers will like the romantic aspect of the book but don't expect it to knock your socks off.
This love story is about Josie and Rake! It is a quick and fun read! The only reason I rate it a 3/5 stars is a little all over place for me and full at some points. However, I still enjoyed it and would recommend it!
In Eden Bloom's "Yoga One For Me", we are introduced to an artful blend of romance, comedy, and self-discovery set in the heart of the charming small-town of Misty Falls. The story does more than offer an enjoyable reading experience; it invites the reader to journey alongside the protagonist through the winding paths of self-discovery and personal growth.
Josie, the book's central character, is a delightful embodiment of relatable uncertainties and resolve. As she leaves her bustling city life to explore the peace of Misty Falls, we are introduced to a woman on the brink of a life-altering transformation. Bloom skillfully navigates us through Josie's evolution from an unsure woman to a beacon of self-assurance, finding serenity both in her surroundings and within herself. The playful and unexpected encounters with Rake infuse the narrative with light-hearted humor that entertains while it unravels the heart of their relationship.
Rake's character is a refreshing departure from the classic romantic hero archetype. With layers of depth that gradually reveal themselves through the narrative, he grapples with his own unique set of challenges. As he attempts to balance his aspirations with the blossoming affection for Josie, their relationship evolves more as a tale of friendship and understanding rather than a conventional love story.
Bloom's vivid descriptions bring the town of Misty Falls alive, making it as integral to the story as Josie and Rake. The book also benefits from a cast of well-developed secondary characters and a strong sense of community.
"Yoga One For Me" is an engaging tale that masterfully combines personal growth, life choices, and the sheer joy of new beginnings with humor. I am grateful to NetGalley for sharing this ARC, and I affirm that this review reflects my honest opinion. For anyone seeking a heartwarming, funny, and thought-provoking read, "Yoga One For Me" is highly recommended.
This story had great potential, but I could not get past the writing and the pacing. Too many tangents and not enough concise information which would have really helped this story moving along.
Josie really needs to get away from things at home, so when the opportunity to swap places with her old college roommate comes up, Josie is thrilled. Not only will she get away for a while, she'll be living alone in a mansion, working in a yoga studio and enjoying beach life. Meanwhile, Rake wants to use his parents' quiet empty mansion as a space to get in the zone for an upcoming important acting role. That is until he finds out who he will be sharing it with....
Yoga One For Me is a cute romcom and definitely worth checking out if you enjoy yoga and forced proximity romances. It is a quick and light read and perfect for the beach. The story alternates between FMC and MMC narration each chapter and features an unexpected roommate situation.
I thought the names were a little cheesy, who names their kid Rake? And found it a little dull at times but I think contemporary romance readers who are fine with the standard romcom back and forth would enjoy this one. Thanks to Netgalley, Xpresso tours and the publisher for giving me the chance to read and review this one.
Okay, this book was cute! The ferrets stealing Rake’s and Josie’s belongings, the stealing yoga clients, and the key lime pie to the face… this book was just a classic good read. It was fast paced and sucked you right in.
Thanks to Net Galley for the ARC!
