Oh my goodness, if you love Snoop Dogg AND cooking, this is absolutely the book for you. What a blast this was! I love the fact that this is appetizers, drinks, desserts and everything in between. In particular, I love Uncle Reo's Ribs with BBQ sauce. Although it's a longer recipe and takes more time, absolutely fabulous! Definitely recommend this book.

The pairing of Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart has now extended to E-40. A wonderful recipe book with beautiful photos and easy to follow recipes. Some of the recipes contain alcohol, but you can forgo that if you do not partake. Some of the recipes seem quirky, Cheeto macaroni and cheese, however the social media community states that it is delicious. Have fun and share your stories.

I was so excited to see another cookbook by Snoop Dogg and just had to have it. This cookbook is so easy to navigate as it's divided into the following categories: breakfast, munchies, drinks, mains, sides, and sweets. Snoop sure knows what he's doing! The recipes I tried were very tasty. So far I've made Fried Chicken and French Toast Sandwiches, Easy Cheesy Garlic Bread, and Cajun-Spiced Potato Chips. I will absolutely make these again and look forward to trying more of Snoop's recipes!

Another great addition to the cookbook collection! This book is a fun collaboration between Snoop Dogg and E-40 and the recipes are an accurate representation of them. A little classic, a little innovative, a little bougie, a little hood and a whole lot of unexpected deliciousity.

I came across this book when I was perusing Netgalley. I have previously read through his first cookbook From Crook to Cook and enjoyed it. I have tried a few recipes, especially the bacon one! I was surprised at how easy so many of them were. When I saw that there was a follow-up, I requested it right away!

I will preface this by saying that I have not made any of the recipes yet. But I will be. There are so many recipes that sound odd but look delicious! Did I ever think I would be craving hot cheeto mac and cheese balls? Nope, but here I am. Some of the things I enjoy about his cookbooks are the photos for each recipe, the fun names and descriptions, and the ease of many of them. There are several things that I want to give a try! I have never heard of cornbread rice but the photo caught my attention. When I read his description, “What is cornbread rice? Try it and find out.” I immediately thought “challenge accepted!”

Overall, I think this is a fun and interesting cookbook. Many recipes are similar to things you would find in other books. At the same time, there’s a good variety of things I never heard of before. If you want something a little different and fun then I would give this a go!

This is a nice recipe book! There are great pictures and cooking tips from Snoop and E-40. There's a nice variety of recipe and a lot of these are things that are fairly approachable to make for new cooks.

Overall a nice find!

This is a varied mix of homestyle and party foods, from an eclectic mix of cooks- you have their family influences, combined with cultural influences, combined with influence from friends. And when you think about it, isn't that how ALL of our cooking evolves? We take the best from home, add our mix too it, add in what we learn from friends and like from their tables, and bamm, we have our own style. I definitely wanted the book for the cheeseburger lumpia recipe, which does NOT fail- it's awesome! You can use egg roll wrappers if you have to (lumpia wrappers can be hard to find in rural Southland LOL), but just use our trick to use a small roller and roll them out a bit thinner before stuffing them! There are also excellent cocktail and party recipes, perfect for holiday entertaining! Most of the recipes don't require things you can't find at the local grocery/box store, and it would be a fun book to give to fans of Snoop and Earl!

I love Snoop’s first cookbook and am happy to say his latest effort does not disappoint. I can’t wait to try the Cajun-Spiced Potato chips recipe first. There’s some gold here, a great mix of drinks, mains, desserts, and everything in between The recipes are accessible and fun.

Thank you for the EArc. I adore Goon with a Spoon products and I’m fortunate enough to live in the Bay where we can get them. This humorous book is full of fun recipes but, if you cook often, probably recipes you’ve seen a lot of but with a twist. Really entertaining read for a cookbook.

Whether or not you’re a fan of Snoop Dogg’s or Earl “E-40” Stevens’ music, you’ll enjoy reading and cooking from their cookbook, Snoop Dogg Presents Goon with the Spoon. Who knew that the awarding winning artists were also entrepreneurs and cooks?

This cookbook is nothing like the authors’ music, and will appeal to almost everyone, with many dishes that have a southern slant, others with Asian roots, and even others that are all American with meat and potatoes and seafood. The recipes are written in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed first, followed by step-by-step instructions that are easy to understand. Many of the recipes are very easy, and all of them can be successfully made by anyone, whether beginning cooks or advanced cooks. Each of the recipes is prefaced by authors’ comments which include comments, tips, and/or histories of the dishes. This makes the cookbook interesting and one that is enjoyable to read.

Most of the recipes include beautiful photographs taken by professional photographer, Antonis Achilleos. The photos are unique, and sometimes you need to turn the book sideways to see them.

All told, this cookbook is one that everyone will want to curl up in a corner and read cover to cover, and will find dozens of recipes to add to their “must make soon” queue.

Goon with the spoon is E-40's food business. Snoop of course had a cook book, so they collatborated. That's free game if you caught it. Try the bourbon whipped cream. Game changer... and I'm lactose intolerant.

This book had a lot of good with it. I liked the opening commentary and all of the photos.

The air fryer honey walnut shrimp: yay for making 🔥 air fryer food! I didn’t expect that from this title but was stoked to see it a few times

The fried pickles: the item isn’t original but the saaaaaaauce!?!?

The game day guac: I trusted E40 with this one and wasn’t disappointed. Was it life changing? Nah. But was it solid and now my go-to for guac? YUP.

Let me tell you how excited we were to receive this cookbook as an ebook ARC. We are longtime fans of Snoop Dogg and enjoyed his first cookbook. In this little adventure of a book he has new recipes to share along with his friend rapper E-40. Using their music as inspiration they share some of their favorite meals, with more than 65 recipes for food and drinks and everything from breakfast to dessert. We can’t wait to try all the recipes but we have found some favorites already, including: Snicker Pocket Pastries, Cornbread Rice, Ridin’ Dirty Shrimp ‘n’ Grits and Corned Beef with All the Hash. With fun introductions to each recipe they are detailed and so easy to follow. Even novices like us can make these entertaining treats. Your family will love trying these recipes together. I can’t wait to add this book to our cookbook library at home. Makes a fun gift for all the music and food lovers in your life. Enjoy.

Maaannn, I’ll tell you what! I’ll admit it I only got the book because of who wrote it. I wrote it off as a celebrity cookbook. And I was COMPLETELY WRONG!!! This is simply one of the BEST cookbooks I’ve reviewed (and I review a lot) in a long, long time!!!

A cookbook in true Snoop Dogg style. Recipes are straight forward, even his hotdog recipe. Beautiful pictures throughout.

I was thrilled to receive this ARC on my bookshelf! I've been waiting for another Snoop cookbook to publish, since reading From Crook to Cook. Snoop is a Quintessential Renaissance man, what this man not do? I first learned about Snoop's passion for food and cooking during the pandemic, when I stumbled across reruns of Snoop and Martha's Potluck Dinner Party on VHI. I was completely obsessed.

This latest book is another glorious gem! Snoop and E-40 are a pair of wonderfully animated storytellers who adore cooking and gathering with friends. The photography is exceptional (as it always is with Chronicle Books), the recipes are accessible and the accompanying anecdotes from Snoop and E-40 are written in a clever, conversational and authentically comedic style.
