Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for granting me free access to the advanced digital copy of this book.
I’m interested to see how the story continues to progress!! I can see why this is a fan favorite. I am constantly selling copies at the store
This was such a good volume even though it had some sad elements. I'm glad that we got to see what actually split up Suho and Seojun, despite the fact that it was a really sad event. It was nice to go more in-depth with their backstory, I was really curious what had happened with them. Overall, this was a really great volume and I can't wait to read the next one!
Well well, here is another volume of true beauty that brings about the nostalgia of watching the kdrama. again.
The art as usual was really good in this graphic novel just like the previous volumes and though the story doesn't completely match the kdrama the premise and plot were good to read based on what was presented in the novel.
I really liked the fact that the representation of themes of insecurity and humor, such contrasting themes are so well showcased without downplaying any of the important aspects of the book. The relationship between the characters is also very well represented and it's lovely to read the graphic novel while enjoying the hidden themes of friendship that was highlighted in this volume.
Though it has a few sensitive topics, this volume was a complete entertainer.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this eArch in exchange for review.
We get to see our main character Jugyeong relationships with Suho and Seojun develop even more.
We also learn of the three best friends, Seojun, Suho and Seyeo. They thought that they would be friends forever, but we are left wondering what happened to their friendship?
Not only is this volume addicting to read but it pulls you in almost immediately. Overall this book was amazing and the art is so eye catching. I'm excited to see how Jugyeong relationships with Suho and Seojun will develop even more!
I love each cover that comes out for this series. I originally read it all on webtoons, but I have loved seeing this series come to life on the page. What else can I say that I continue to love this series and will buy the next one.
I absolutely love this book and series. Thanks Netgalley and Webtoons for allowing me to read it!
True Beauty is one of my absolute favorite webtoons and it’s so great to see it being turned into a book.
The artwork is so clean and beautiful. And the author tackles heavy topics such as self acceptance and bullying with an accurate but loving hand.
Thank you so much for letting me read this graphic novel. This was an eventfull part of the series. And I liked we got more background to the story.
The plot is thickening AGAIN! I know I'm supposed to root for Jugyeong and Suho but I cannot act like Seojun isn't making my heart flutter. He's such a good brother to Gowoon, seeing him flustered is so entertaining, and he's fine as HELLLLLL!!!
In this volume we delve into Suho and Seojun's past and I never expected the plot to get so dark! I appreciated the frankness of seeing what it's like to be harassed as an idol from the other side of the screen, and I was moved. Of course this all balanced with Yaongyi's trademark humour so things stay balanced instead of overwhelmingly sad.
I can't wait to see volume 4.
Thank you so much, Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group, Webtoon Unscrolled and NetGalley for providing this eARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

Laughing, Screaming, Crying... just some of the verbs used to describe my reactions to the 3 installment of True Beauty. We get to see our main girl Jugyeong develop her relationships even more with Suho and Seojun, however... we also learn of the three best friends, Seojun, Suho and Seyeo. They thought that they'd be friends forever, but how did they get to be where they are now?
Not only does this volume pull you in immediately, but we get a back story that I didn't expect. I laughed and I cried, and overall I'm excited to know more and see where all these friendships and relationships end up! 5/5. The art is killer.
GUYS THIS IS SO GOOD! I have never felt more seen by a comic book than this one. Wish I had the makeup skills she does though. I read this first on WEBTOON and then watched some of the K drama on the internet and I absolutely love it! Jugyeong is my new favorite FMC!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this series, For a long time it was my guilty pleasure read, and I'm so excited it's getting actual physical volumes published.
I am loving the new wave of webtoon comics getting printed! I have yet to read one that I do not like. They are also very popular and always go out. This one will follow that patern!
This volume was absolutely beautiful. It provided backstory as well as the harsh reality of the Kpop world. I loved the character development and I can’t wait to read more!
😭😭😭 this one got me GOOD - I was not expecting the turn that it was going to take but I liked it. This doesn’t feel like a shallow plot line and although it’s a lot darker than I expected, I think it fits in well with the story and gives more depth to our characters. I really love these characters and truly don’t know who I ship our protag with 😂 so looking forward to the rest of this series!
First, I would like to thank Netgalley for providing the opportunity for me to read this graphic novel before it was released. Beware! This will have spoilers for both the previous graphic novels and this one. Genuinely, I am so happy that this story has made it past Webtoon and into print. This is one of my favorite young adult oriented things I've read in years. The story is interesting. It conveys the self love theme without coming off as "preachy."
The art is gorgeous, and I love it when the style switches in the comedic moments.
This is all for the non-spoiler section.
This is the part of the series where it gets serious. In this we learn why Seojun and Suho have animosity. The back story about how they lost thier friend to suicide is heart breaking. As a reader, all I wanted in this part of the series was for Suho and Seojun to mend their friendship. Of course, there are cute romance parts in this. Jugyeong isn't sure who she is developing feelings for. Suho is also starting to like Jugyeong. This is the part of the series where the reader is forced to cheer on one boy as Jugyeong's potential match. That being said, the focus in this volume is learning about Seojun and Suho's back story. Their friendship was so strong and wholesome. As a reader, I'm so invested in how their friendship will play out, which keeps me reading. Even though I've read the entire series on Webtoon, I will continue to read the graphic novel version. The format makes it worth it. I will also continue to purchase the graphic novels for my classroom as they are released. My sophomores love them, and I recommend them to students on a regular basis. This is a brilliant series. Read it.
