Halloween is my favorite holiday and My Butt is so Spooktacular made me miss it. I enjoy the story and the wonderful inclusive illustrations. I
I really enjoy the my butt series, because it has silliness and the word butt for kids, but the stories don't center of toilet humor. It's much appreciated
Though this is a good choice for readers who enjoyed the rest of the series, it's confusing as a standalone. His but doesn't come into play much in the story. Other than the butt gimmick, there's not much to it. The text is somewhat unique, with some words printed in different colors and fonts.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I love the Butt books, but this is not one of my favorites. Many of the rhymes, while they do work, they tend to be harsh. And the cadence changes frequently with little to no warning. Overall I do like this book, but it is not one I will frequently pull out to read.
I loved the bright and colorful illustrations in My Butt is SO SPOOKTACULAR! If you’re looking for a spooky book or Halloween-themed book for your children, then I highly recommend My Butt is SO SPOOKTACULAR! By author Dawn McMillan.

This book is just as fun of a read as the others in the series. I can't wait to add it to our collection and see everyone take it out. I am sure we won't be seeing it for a while because there will be so many holds on it.
My 7 year said to rate this as many stars as I could! It was a hit. For me, the rhyming pattern was a little awkward at times and the story didn’t really focus as much on his butt as past books, but it was still a cute Halloween story.
Dawn McMillan’s new I Need a New Butt series is sure to entice even reluctant readers to give her easy reader books a try. Halloween books are popular with kids year round, but especially in September and October. Some of the rhymes seem a bit clunky in this book, but the illustrations and story are kid-friendly.
