This was a suspenseful story that had me glued to it I couldn’t put it down I loved every second i read it

Thank you to netgalley the publisher and the author for a chance to read this book. I could not stop reading this book. It reminded me of the storyline to speed where there was not much time. But with mobsters and murder and action and funny in some areas. What else do you do when your husband upsets the wrong people. How far would you go? She goes out of her way and its a literally chase amd it intrigued me. Definitely will read again and recommend.

Although a bit bit of slow burner, it is well worth sticking with this book. Beautifully written and truly a masterpiece.

Heart pounding, literally freeway speeds where the MC is being chased by someone in a black Jeep while she unknowingly drives with five million dollars in the back of her car. Her husband ripped off the wrong person after experiencing financial troubles during the pandemic and thought robbery was the solution and now innocent people are dying.
However, this book mentions the pandemic lockdowns a lot, which for a lot of people, including me, isn't a time I really like to dwell on, so that was a bit of a turn off.
The book continues to get more and more generic as time goes on, despite the knockout beginning.
I finished it, and some people may love, but it wasn't for me.

This story starts at 60mph and doesn't let up. Nobody can trust anybody and nobody is safe in this twisty, relentless thriller - an enjoyable easy read.

A solid effort. It was non-stop action and very entertaining.
The characters were interesting, but most of them weren't very likable, including Toni at times. I did like how complex she was though.

Overall it was an enjoyable read, and I would read more from this author, especially if he writes more about Vera Cruise, who with Toni were the most intriguing characters.

I enjoyed this one ! Had my heart pumping a few times. This is the type of book I would read while traveling ! Quick and easy !

In a world filled with gripping thrillers and intricate storylines, this book unfortunately fell short for me. The premise had the potential to offer an adrenaline-pumping ride through pandemic-era Los Angeles, but the execution was more reminiscent of a predictable script from a generic crime show.

The characters, despite being positioned in a high-stakes environment, lacked depth and motivation. This resulted in a narrative where it became increasingly challenging to root for or relate to them. Furthermore, their predictability detracted from any potential tension or surprise.

One of my main contentions is the seemingly random placement of contemporary references. While literature can be a powerful medium to address current events, their incorporation here felt inorganic and unnecessary. References to significant events like the tragic case of George Floyd were particularly jarring given their dissonance with the central plot.

In conclusion, while the premise promised an exciting journey of revenge, alliances, and high stakes, the delivery felt lackluster. Readers seeking a nuanced thriller might want to look elsewhere.

This is a really good book and although some parts were a bit over the top it still had me at the edge of my seat.
If you like a good heist book this one is for you. Great characters and plot make this a very good read.

In order to save her husband from kidnappers, Toni has to stay alive while being pursued by a crazy killer in a Jeep Wrangler. This book is a fast paced and entertaining crime thriller that made me chuckle a few times. It was pretty ridiculous in a good way.

I couldn't put the book down because it was so intriguing. An exciting thriller with murder, suspense, and vengeance. Highly recommended and well deserving of five stars.

Good book! This book had a bit of everything! It had suspense, Action packed, intrigue, mystery, revenge, plenty of murder, mobsters, great plot twist, and some crazy twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my Kindle! I definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading!
