This is a topic I find interesting and with which I struggle. This was a good book as far as a foundational approach to the issue of boundaries and providing explanations and advice for those who are learning about boundaries and how to enact them in their lives. It covers boundary setting in different scenarios and I believe is a good foundational book for those exploring this topic in detail for the first time or as a book to reinforce boundary setting for those newer to it. If you struggle to set boundaries or are hesitant or confused this book is a good reference and guide and support for that. It is activity based, which is a bit of a struggle for me. Others may find this format more helpful.

Something I look for is resources and reference sources on tics such as this. The author hold a good foundation for this topic and discusses it in a manner anyone can understand. I think this book is more for a gentle approach and for someone that is new to really embracing setting boundaries in the world outside of themselves.
I highly recommend this book for the right person. I will recommend this to by beginner yoga students who are struggling with this and not sure where to start or even identify that a boundary needs to be set.
Awesome reference source as well.
This is a serviceable and informative book on the different areas in one’s life when one may need to set boundaries, how to figure out what those might be, and how to care for yourself when coping with different scenarios. Overall, the structure of the book is chapters on specific types of boundaries one may set, whether they be boundaries on one’s time to create more work-life balance or to protect a relationship. Each chapter’s introduction is followed by a few different activities that the reader can complete. It was a bit of a slow read but some of the activities seemed useful enough for different purposes.
I highly recommend this book. I've struggled for YEARS to not only set but keep boundaries and this book break it down into easy, manageable steps.
This book was very much activity based, which was not my type of usual read so not sure it worked for me. The few passages of text were helpful and interesting but felt a bit disjointed with the amount of activities and exercises that were thrown in. Maybe some diagrams would be helpful explain some of the points.
There are lots of books about boundaries out there and this one didn’t hit for me. This book is “activity based”. So it’s full of literal activities (not just journaling or practices, but get out craft material activities). Great for learners who prefer this mode but that’s not me.
As a therapist I have a professional interest in these types of books but also a personal interest due to my personal recovery journey. Boundary setting is something that can be very difficult for many people.
This workbook has a lot of good information. I consider it to be a bit text-heavy. I’d love to see some graphics included before the final version is complete. This would make it more reader-friendly for those who have little-to-no experience setting boundaries or are nervous about jumping into it.
