So, jokes on me...I thought this was a literal book of sex positions, it isn't. However this book is pretty funny!
I read this at the end of last year, sitting in a hospital bed waiting to be repeatedly stabbed in the neck for the first of 3 times.
I must say, it did WONDERS for my nerves. Especially since I had two very kind nurses blowing all the veins in my arms and I was trying to put THEM at ease by reading some of the positions aloud (not too loud, there were other patients and I didn't want to get the nurses in trouble) to their clear amusement.
I promise, these positions are not so naughty that they caused the nurses to gasp in horror and blow yet another vein. Blame my crappy runaway veins for that.
Desperately funny and terribly silly. I think this would be an excellent engagement/bachelorette/wedding present for any couple with a healthy sense of humor.
Graphic novel that shows pics and give details about sex and different positions. Not bad but could be been more detailed
Graphic novel like book with effortless positions lazy people can utilize for sex. This would be a funny white elephant gift. More for laughs than anything serious, so if you know people who like laughs and dirty jokes give them this.
I wanted to like this book, but it was just silly and not in a funny or comical way. I do not recommend.
Let face it who wouldn't want to request a book with this title. "As hilarious and helpful tips and tricks for staying lazy while doing it," I am not going to lie this sold me to review this book and yes the book is hilarious along with the cartoon that show the different position that will be just as funny as the positions.
Ginny Hogan is a comedian that keeps everything fun and laugh out loud funny.
Thank you to Netgalley
I found this book boring and the formatting just seemed childish to me. Not a fan. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing
on my review.
Excellent guide for lazy people to have sex. Made me laugh out loud. I wouldn't recommend it as an instructional book, but it is a fun read.
Sexy? No. LOL Silly? Yes.
If you thought you were lazy you'll feel like you're the Energizer bunny after hearing these "tips" on exerting the least amount of energy as possible.
Goofy and hilarious suggested activities that aren't activities to minimumly maximize your sexy times. The illustrations are pretty funny too.
The title of the book already had me laughing. I laughed my way through the whole book. I'm not really sure you will find any useful sexual positions, but you and your partner will get some laughs out of it so it's worth it just for that. On a side note, this would be a great book for someone with disabilities.
Hilarious! I couldn’t stop laughing while reading this book. The author really got into ways to enjoy sexy time without a lot of effort. Oh and the illustrations are silly which makes it even better.
Not as funny or as informative as I thought it would be, but I guess I badly misunderstood what it was trying to be before reading it. As a conversation-starting coffee table book for your guests to flip through, it does the trick.
As someone who has actually read the Kama sutra I loved reading this. It's the perfect read to spark some creativity while also giving a good laugh. I have not had the opportunity to test out some of the ideas but they'll definitely be in the back of my mind. Sex for Lazy People might not just be for lazy people but for everyone.
This was a hilariously good quick read, with some actual tips to make sex easier in the first part. The book is short enough that it does not require the work involved to read a long book. There are many tips to help you avoiding things like getting in bed or taking your clothes off. There are tips to dampen the mood or to limit the time you spend having sex. It’s got pages of illustration-only, which are quite amusing – turning pages also involves work, so be forewarned if you or your partner is sufficiently lazy.
One thing which was missing if you're looking for truly lazy ways to (not) have sex is to watch a XXX movie. Going to the movie theater is work, like obtaining batteries, which is to be avoided. Renting a video is as well. Perhaps recommend streaming services? Some of these could work along side ones that use a phone to help (spoil the mood or hurry things along).
If you're looking for a "marriage manual" with tips and tricks that can help make sex more varied, enjoyable, and possible, this isn't the book for you. If you want a roaring laugh, perhaps WITH your partner, this is the book.
I read this book as a pre-release e-book obtained through NetGalley, provided by the publisher.
This is a funny and creative book for positions when you don't want to work to hard. The illustrations really add to the fun. Love some of the "tips".
This book was stupid funny. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a good laugh.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!
This was a cute, quick read. The positions are ridiculous, but not nearly as much so as the cartoons of the same. Why people are drawn to look like strange hot dog like creatures evades me, but it is amusing enough. If you are looking for a heteronormative and strange use of your time, give the book a shot. It is mind numbing and vapid at worst and mildly entertaining at best. If you see it sitting on someone's coffee table, or more likely, by the toilet, I'd say give it a peruse. I can't say that I would recommend a purchase however. But that's just me.

Funny & Cute!
The cartoons & “tips” are amusing.
This book would make a fun bachelorette games gift or a white elephant gift.
Thank you to Chronicle Books and Net Galley for a digital ARC of this title in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own. I enjoyed this book for the great, unique slant and the humor included. It would be a fun gift for a party, shower, or your partner.
Hey there, fellow readers! I just finished reading "Sex for Lazy People," and let me tell you, it's definitely a unique and funny book that had me laughing from start to finish. This guide is all about making those intimate moments as effortless as possible. I mean, who wouldn't want to get more bang for their... well, you know.
The book features a whopping fifty different sex positions, along with some seriously hilarious and helpful tips and tricks to keep things lazy and comfortable. Whether you've had a crazy day, just had a huge meal, or simply don't like moving too much, this book has got you covered.
The author, Ginny Hogan, brings her comedian wit to the table, and it's clear she knows what she's talking about. Ever had trouble balancing work and a sex life? According to this book, just quit your job! Of course, that's just one of the many chuckle-worthy suggestions that fill these pages.
The positions themselves have some pretty amusing names like "The Understudy," "The Slip 'n' Slide," and "The Easy Button." And let's not forget the illustrations! The book is filled with funny drawings that add to the humor. But what I liked is that there are also moves that consider different needs, like those for people with mobility issues. That inclusivity is really great to see.
Now, don't get me wrong – this book is more about having a good laugh than actually trying every single position. It's perfect for couples of all kinds, whether you're married, dating, or anything in between. It would honestly make a hilarious gift for occasions like Valentine's Day, anniversaries, or even bachelorette parties.
I have to admit, though, that while I found the book incredibly funny, I can see it being more of a bathroom read or a fun coffee table book than a serious attempt at trying out new things in the bedroom. It's a quick read, and the jokes are on point, so it's great for a good laugh whenever you need it.
In the end, "Sex for Lazy People" is a riot of a book. If you're looking for a lighthearted and amusing read, this is definitely the one for you. The hilarious commentary, the quirky illustrations, and the overall concept make it a winner in my book. And hey, if you know someone who could use a good laugh, especially if they're dealing with medical issues, this book might just be the perfect pick-me-up. Trust me, it had me laughing my socks off!
