The dual timeline in this suspense novel, with then/now timeline switching of timelines keeps the reader on their toes throughout. This approach allows the author to slowly unpeel one layer at a time the true emotions, and past traumas of the main characters which has the reader constantly questioning who’s guilty of what as the story progresses. It seems as if Ruby she can’t trust anyone, even herself. There are so many surprises, twists and turns in this book to enjoy right to the very end. If you enjoy a murder mystery that will keep you on your toes this is the book for you!

I love a good domestic thriller and this one did not disappoint. The writing kept me engaged from the very beginning. We had multiple timelines where each chapter alternated between the past and the present, a neighborhood murder club called the Murderlings, a plenty of suspense that kept me on my toes. I was able to figure out the twist, and I’m usually not very good at that, but I still loved it.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity review this book.

Don’t Forget Me
By: Rea Frey
Publication date: January 9,2024
“When a body is presumed to be her missing husband’s, a woman must unravel the secrets of her own past to clear her name, find the truth, and put her conscience to rest once and for all.”
When Ruby is out rowing one morning she finds a dead body in the lake by her house, everyone is convinced that it is her missing husband, everyone except her. This book takes many twist and turns while Ruby not only tries to prove her innocence but find out who the murder is.
Let me start off with what I liked about this book:
- [ ] Multiple time lines
- [ ] Loved the main character
- [ ] The twist!! I’m normally good as guessing a twist but I didn’t see this one coming
- [ ] The murder club was a interesting add to the book
What wasn’t my favorite:
- [ ] Nothing! I loved everything about this book.
Overall I would recommend this book if you are a fan of thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat. From the first chapter to the last I was hooked! I simply could not put this book down!
Thank you NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer for gifting me this ACR in exchange for my honest review.

DON’T FORGET ME is a fast paced exciting read full of suspense, twists, and turns. The ending there is another big suspenseful moment that has me wondering will there be a sequel? I love the then and now timelines. This book covers a wide range of difficult topics; domestic violence, childhood trauma, and mental illness. If you are into true crime and solving puzzles this book is for you.
Thank you NetGalley, Thomas & Mercer, and Rea Frey for the opportunity to read this digital ARC for my honest review.

Full of family secrets, neighborhood drama, domestic violence, and childhood trauma. Oh, and also a neighborhood murder club. It is fast paced and never a dull moment. The chapters alternate between "then" and "now" weaving together a suspenseful story full of twists and turns. The ending leaves you hanging. Hopefully there is a sequel! I read this book in one sitting it's that good!
Thanks to Netgalley and Thomas & Mercer for a digital ARC.

Rea Frey writes good domestic suspense novels and "Don't Forget Me" was no exception. It started strong, kept me on my toes, and had a great twist. Recommended for mystery/suspense lovers. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

Thank you, NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer for the copy of Don’t Forget Me by Rea Frey. I have loved Frey’s domestic suspense novels so I was excited to read this thriller. I loved how it started with a bang, and the writing kept me engaged. The addition of the social media forum and the Murderlings added some levity to an otherwise serious book about some really tough subjects - the abuse was really hard to read about. The shocking reveal was unanticipated but made perfect sense. If you’re looking for a book that will really keep you reading, this is it! #DontForgetMe

I READ THIS BOOK IN ONE DAY. OH MY GOSH. I AM SPEECHLESS, STUNNED REALLY.
It was incredible. The writing incredible. The story line incredible. The ending incredible. I don't know how I ever lived my live without this book and I am seriously not being dramatic. One of the best I have read in a long time. 1000/10. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. I cant wait to read more stories from this author and I am so sad knowing I hadnt come across her books sooner.
I would give my left leg to reread this book again for the first time. Just incredible.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Rea Frey for allowing me to read this book. I am planning to shout my admirations from the rooftops!

I received this book as an ARC via Netgalley.
I was easily “hooked” wanting to know what happens next. The story moves along at a good clip as the plot thickens and twists.
I love that this book is written in the “then” & “now” chapter style.
Fast paced…never a dull moment.
Left me guessing “who did it”…plot twists kept me engaged and wanting more.
I don’t want this story to end…I’m thinking a sequel?

Good book! This book had a bit of everything! It had suspense, Action, intrigue, mystery, revenge, murder, serial killer, great plot twist, and some crazy twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my Kindle! I definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

It's pretty hard to find a novel plot in the vast forest that is the "something weird going on in a quiet neighborhood" thriller sub-genre, but this book comes through - kudos for the interesting twist.

One of the most excellent books I have read so far this year. This is a book I recommend to everybody. The writing and storyline were both excellent. This book was so amazing that I literally finished it in less than three hours.
Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

How do you not recognize your own husband's body? Kinda makes you sound guilty, right? That's what I thought too, until the end. Great book, highly recommend. Thank you to Netgalley and the author for allowing me to read this book.

The book was amazing. I read it in one day!
I love the characters and the plot. Lots of twists to the story .

When Ruby goes on her usual early morning row, she has no idea how this just might have been a good morning to sleep late. Her new house in Cottage Grove seems like the kind of community were nothing bad ever happens. Sure, Ruby spent many years working as an ER nurse, but finding a dead body so close to home is not the way she envisioned her day to begin.
Holy Cottage Grove residents! I’m not sure if I could handle knowing what was going on behind all those closed doors. Just being in Ruby’s world was more than enough. Let’s see there was murder, lies, more lies, a forum for the nosy neighbors, betrayal, more lies, and more secrets than this lovely lake could hold.
I had this one figured out, even if I wasn’t part of the neighborhood Murderlings Club. Did I win a prize? Absolutely not! I picked the wrong person and kicked myself when the author revealed whodunnit and why. I should have realized my fatal mistake. This book just kept me flipping pages and the more secrets I uncovered, the more I had to keep reading.
