While narcissism is not officially diagnosed until the end of adolescence, the author points out that many narcissistic traits begin to develop in childhood, and that if parents know enough to identify those traits and intervene, they can truly help their children. The author shares her many years of clinical experience with lots of examples. This would be an excellent resource for concerned parents and caregivers.
