I went with the audio for this one. It had a multi-narrator cast, mostly based on the perspective of the story, and they were pretty much all solid.

This is 10 new short stories from the master of middle grade horror. Again, I’m not really sure on the legality of these things, but I’m always left wondering why all of his stories aren’t under the umbrella of Goosebumps. It’s his signature style anyway.

With that being said, these 10 are spooky, eerie, a little silly, and some even have a blend of scifi. Stine continues to prove that he has quite the imagination, and I loved that these featured an introduction for each story. The intros were even recorded by Stine too, and I love that their inspiration is mostly from his childhood experiences. I just can’t imagine writing that many stories, some of which feature similar ideas and plot lines. Like how do you keep track?

While I wouldn’t necessarily put these on the level of Tales to Give You Goosebumps or the somewhat longer shorts in Goosebumps Triple Header 1, these are still enjoyable stories for a quick little read. I love their covers too.

Overall this would be like a 3.5* for me.

I love listening to the audio version of R L Stine's Stinetinglers 2. The performance of each tales was perfect. It was great. Five stars.

I listened to all this. Half while at work and half on a car ride with my mother. And I was enjoying the stories while I was listening, but as I write this a day later, I can not remember one of them. This is book 2, and the first book had such memorable stories (skin falling off, library books attacking people, etc) that it is a bit sad, that I don’t remember this one.

I have a confession. I’m a librarian, and I have never read anything by R.L. Stine. I recommend his books to any young reader who says they like scary stories, but I’ve never read the books myself…until now.
Stinetingers 2 was the perfect amount of creepiness and was a lot of fun to listen to. I now feel confident that I’ve been steering my horror loving young readers in the right direction.
Thank you NetGalley for providing me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I read these as a palate cleanser amidst the heavy horror and litfic I usually read, as well as a boost of nostalgia, and these definitely delivered!

This book has everything: kleptomaniacs, gnomes, magic mirrors, mysterious stopwatches, fun house mirrors

I was instantly transported to my childhood of reading every single RL Stine book I could get my hands on. I also like how Stine explained his inspiration before each story and how a lot of them related to being a kid and feeling like the odd one out.

I do wish there was more unsettling (kid appropriate) horror that I’m used to from other RL Stine books. A lot of the horror in these was a bit more comical and I think this is a great way to introduce smaller children to horror that won’t keep them up at night.

I also think representation from an early age is important and wish there were more girl main characters (i think I counted like 2-3, while the rest were boys).

Thank you NetGalley & Macmillan Audio for this ALC! A special thanks to RL Stine! All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed these 10 stories within this book.  All of  the characters were fun to read about. If you like horror and somethings scary these 10 stories will be right up there. And with each story comes an personal introduction from the author. Tell you how the story can to his mind to white about. Some of the stories are more scary than others. There was one with spider in it that gave me the shivers a bit. Because I'm not so found of spiders.

This was a fun to read or listen to. All of the stories had action, adventure and suspense throughout. There were a few giggles within each stories.

I received a complimentary copy and audio copy via Netgalley. This is my honest unbiased opinions.

Thank you to NetGalley and to Macmillan Young Listeners for an ARC of this audiobook.

This book was just fun. It is made up of little scarry stories by R.L. Stine. The audiobook was fun, because RL Stine himself introduced the stories.

This is a great collection of spooky stories for the middle grade reader. I found each story unique and engaging. The stories are told with humor and a spooky sense of fun. I think that the middle school reader will connect to the topics in each of these stories - a world where kids are in charge? I'm pretty sure that's every kids dream....but it comes with a cost
Great collection!

The narrators did an excellent job bringing these stories to life.

I loved these. These modern goosebumps tales just brought me back to my childhood. I hope there will be more of these books. I love to see how the author was inspired to write. I loved the Stopwatch and The Bad Birthday Party so much. I loved the narrators for this one! Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

R.L. Stine can do no wrong. This is a completely bias review and I am not sorry about it.
The ten stories are all spooky and perfect for a preteen reader.
I really love his little introductions for each short story.
I love hearing R.L. Stine talk.

The number of readers for each short story were amazing.

This was such a fun anthology of short stories. I loved the creepy but funny vibes. Some of the narrators were incredibly annoying, but as a whole, you can't go wrong with R.L. Stine.

We are a family of 4 and we love listening to books in the car. It allows our family to connect and have fun discussions.

We loved this series of short stories, they weren’t to spooky so perfect for both our 6&8 yr olds. It was fun as we like to pause and figure out what’s going to happen next but what I love best is RL Stine always throws in some twists.

Absolutely loved these and have been a huge fan since I was a kid, now we’re getting the next generation hooked!

Stinetinglers 2
by R. L. Stine
Narrated by Katharine Chin; R. L. Stine; Torian Brackett

I have to say that I am so happy to be able to introduce R.L. Stine to my kids, as I was such a fan of his when I was a kid. I was a little older when the Goosebumps series came out, but I used to read the living daylights out of his YA horror, like the Fear Street series. R.L. Stine and Christopher Pike were my fan favorites and I devoured them all. So, like I said, I was so excited to have the chance to listen to and review this ARC. I will say that while the stories were fantastic, short, and fun to listen to, I really thoroughly enjoyed that each story had an introduction by R.L. Stine and was read by him as well. It's a fun insight into how he comes up with some of his story ideas, etc.

The ten stories are all unique and really made me give pause and think about them once they ended. Not all had happy endings either {...bark, bark...}. IYKYK

Thank you so much to NetGalley, R.L. Stine, and Macmillan Audio for the chance to listen to and review this nostalgic, fun ARC!

R. L. Stine has been a personal favorite of mine since being a kid. His stories haven’t disappointed me. This one, Stinetinglers 2 is no exception.

I loved these 10 short stories. Each one of them were written really well, with cool plots and endings.

My favorite one is the turtle egg story. That one really got me, and I loved every minute.

I recommend for any children/young adult and especially if you are already Mr. Stines fan!

My kids definitely enjoyed this, a collection of horror stories from the goosebumps author R.L. Stine. I have always loved the books, it gives a feeling of nostalgia. we bonded over this book, my son loves goosebumps so it was great to share this with him. We enjoyed the different voices but most of all the bit when R.L Stine would talk about the story. It was a great time.

Stinetinglers 2 is a collection of short horror stories for kids. I read a lot of Goosebumps when I was younger and what annoyed me when I was a kid was from what I remember there were a lot of happy endings. I was surprised that with this collection that was not the case. Some of these endings took me by surprise.

My favorite part of this audiobook was not the stories themself but it was the introductions given by R.L. Stine. Before every story, R.L. Stine would talk and tell you about his inspiration for each story. Some of them were very personal and I loved getting a small glimpse into his world.

There are 10 stories in this collection but they are all very short and will only take about 30 minutes or so per story if you are taking your time.

This was definitely nostalgic and made me really miss the Goosebumps series. This made me want to dust off some of my old copies and start rereading the Goosebumps series. Maybe I will.

It’s hard to say who enjoyed this more: My husband and I or our kids.

This is a delightfully clever collection that isn’t truly scary but lets kids *feel* like they’re reading something scary.

There’s a touch of the eerie and some instances of haunting in these, but they’re really more karmic than anything, cautionary tales that the universe mostly corrects itself. There’s some “you get what’s coming to you” vibes to these, but mostly it’s subtler than that, more of a wink-nudge sense of irony than themes of outright revenge.

The humor is simple enough that kids will get it on their own, but also clever enough that it should delight adult readers as well. Even after all these years, Stine really seems to just get it, and really nails that difficult balance to strike between kids’ fascination with scary stuff and just how scared they can really handle being.

I loved this YA spooky bunch of stories by RL Stein. There was so many stories that brought me back to my childhood. I listened in the car with my 5 and 7 year old and they also enjoyed ! I work with first and second graders so I will definitely be recommending this !! Thank you Macmillan and Netgalley for this audio book!!

This was a really fun collection of short stories, the first I've read by Mr. Stine. I wasn't sure what to expect considering goosebumps are already pretty short, I was worried there might not be enough time to "tell the story." If anything, I think the short story format held my attention even more, leaving no time to get bored with the story. I really enjoyed how varied the stories were; each unique and creepy giving you a sprinkling of all different kinds of horror. There's really something here for everyone! I think my only complaint is how bratty a lot of the characters are, but then again, I'm an adult reading this so perhaps that's just my age speaking.

I listened to the audio of this one and would like to mention- How entertaining the different narrators for the different stories were. Made the listening experience more immersive, and the intro to each story by the man himself, RL Stine was a pleasant surprise! I enjoyed getting a bit of "behind the scenes."
