I love the world that Katee Robert has created with this series. I’ve read mafia romance before, but the way her characters are so complex brings an extra layer to it all. Cillian’s history with his brother and family was intricate and so interesting to read. My expectations of what kind of character he would be were exceeded. I also loved the strength and fight in Olivia. She felt very real, which can sometimes be a challenge with these stories. I’m excited for read more!

Katee is fast becoming a one-click author for me, and this revamped series is another homerun. For anyone who loves sexy mafia romance, this is ABSOLUTELY a must-read.

I wonder how many times I can say this without it getting weird, Katee Robert is the OG smut queen and I would do horrific things to get my hands on anything she puts her name on.

Previously published as Indecent Proposal in 2016, Twisted Secrets is the romance story of Cillian O'Malley and Olivia Rashida. Hot, steamy, sexy, all the things you come to expect from a Katee Robert novel. I like this series more than her others, though, because once the characters get involved, that's it. Monogamy is nice sometimes. :)

Okay. The SPICE!!

I didn't know that this was the third book in a series, but it didn't really matter. I'm so glad I was given a chance to read this book because I WILL be going back to read 1 & 2.

I've read a couple Katee Robert's books before and I've never been disappointed. This is another one I can add to my list of spicy book recommendations.

Twisted Secrets is explosive from the start! If you love a hot alley scene then you'll want to check this one out!

If you've read this series- you know this series is focused on the O'Malley siblings. And this book focuses on Cillian's story. Once the care free, fun loving sibling... the tragedy of his brother's death has been weighing on him. He's changed his old habits, including the booze and women. But bartender Olivia has caught his eye. And despite her not giving him the time of day, eventually the chemistry ignites into more than they can deny.

This story brings the heat from the very start. But I felt like that was mostly all it brought. I loved the characters, the storyline too! There were great moments of swoon, suspense and action that kept me turning the pages. But it felt quite surface level. I felt there could have been more depth to the story. I didn't feel their connection outside it being a physical one. And Hadley seemed way older than her stated age, which bugged me.

But what I really enjoy about these books are how they interconnect by having multiple POV's. So you get a sneak peek into the other siblings, and their stories to come. I am invested in this families story, and really excited for Sloane's story next. Even though this one wasn't quite perfect for me, it might be for you. I will definitely be continuing this series regardless!

What You'll Find:
--Steamy Romance
--Irish Mob
--Frenemies to Lovers
--Just A Fling
--Single Parent
--New To Town
--Third Person, Multiple POV

3.5 Stars

I have to admit this book was SPICY! I didn't realize it was the third book in a series and that I will probably go out and read the other two now. I've read other Katee Robert's books and am NEVER disappointed. The storyline and character development have me wanting more. Thanks for allowing me to read this re-release of this amazing story.

This series is amazing, and I love Katee Robert. This story follows Olivia and Cillian, who start a no-strings attached agreement (we always know how that ends up) and inevitably fall for each other. The chemistry was amazing, and I’m so excited to read the next in the series!

Oh when am I not in love when I finish reading Robert’ book? It is a dark, action-packed, passionate tale that kept me on my toes trough and through. Loved how it was packed with a good punch of spice!!

Wow! This book was absolutely addicting. I had read neon gods by her and loved it, so figured I'd try another one of her books and I was not disappointed. I did not know this book was part of a series originally, and while some characters seem to be mentioned in other books of the series, I felt you didn't have to read any of the others to understand what was going on which was good. The romance between the two main characters was every girl's dream and it kept me on the edge of my seat with the threats coming at them from both sides. Really enjoyed

Twisted Secrets by Katee Robert is the third book in The O’Malleys series and was previously published under the title An Indecent Proposal. This is a mafia romance following Cillian O’Malley and Olivia, who has ties to the Russian mafia. I didn’t read these books when they were originally coming out so my only experience with this series is the rereleases that I believe have been polished up a bit.

I read the first two books in this series and while I enjoyed them well enough, they didn’t feel like Katee Robert books to me. This book felt like a Katee Robert book. Spicy but with characters that still had flaws. Olivia being a single mother trying to do what is best for her kid was really interesting side to read from. Cillian is dealing with some grief and I think that was handled well considering his lifestyle. This is my favorite book in this series by far and I think it will be hard to top. I know there are a few more books left so I’m interested to see where the story goes.

There were a few things that bothered me. The first being I could not take Cillian seriously anytime he ordered an apple juice from the bar that Olivia worked at. I’m sure there are a lot of people trying to stay sober that drink apple juice at a bar but trying to picture a mafia man doing it took me out of the story. Also, Olivia’s daughter is supposed to be 14 months old. It says it several times but she seemed to behave more like a 2 or 2 and a half year old child. Something they always pulls me out of a story is a child not acting their age. And lastly, a gripe I have had with this whole series is I wish it was written in first person. I just find the third person narrative for these books makes it a little hard to connect with the characters.

But even with the nitpicks, I still really enjoyed this installment and I am looking forward to the next one!

Thank you Netgalley and Katee Robert for the e-book. Book three in the O’Malley series is about Cillian. With book one and two I preferred the FMC to the MMC but in this one I was all about Cillian. Give me a sexy tattooed tortured soul with a soft heart and I’m a goner.
The way that Cillian valued consent and respected her choices was such a welcome turn from the usual mafia romance trope. I think it’s important in changing the narrative around men and consent; you can still be a brooding alpha bad boy and respect a partners right to say no and to change their mind at any point.
I didn’t love the whole “bastard daughter” storyline but Olivia and Hadley were pretty cute (even if Hadley seemed more like 24 months than 14 months). I hope Hadley makes an appearance in the next books.
If you like:
• mafia romance
• forbidden love
• touch her and die vibes
• single mom
• forced proximity
• smut from the start
you’ll love this one.
I’m giving it 3.5 stars because as much as I liked Cillian and enjoyed the story, I found myself a bit bored with Olivia’s story.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Forever publishing for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is so far my favorite of the O'Malleys series. Both the main characters were likeable and reasonable and the drama was just the right amount of stress inducing. These two fought hard for their HEA and I'm so glad they got it.

3/5 ⭐️

The book was fine. I didn’t love it. Although I did like reading it. I enjoyed the characters I just couldn’t completely invest myself into the characters.

This is probably my least favorite book written by the author but it wasn’t terrible.

Another installment of my favorite mafia family, the O'Malleys.

While well written with compelling stories and characters, this one is not my favorite in this series, but mostly because of how heart-wrenching this story is. This is one of those books that pulled out my heart and beat it up (but it does give a HEA and general hope that these characters and family will work it all out in the end).

It is a beautifully written book, and like with all Katee Roberts' books the characters, their experiences, and in this case trauma are all handled just as well as the romance. The overarching plot moves forward a lot in this book, and there is a large lead up for the next book(s) so I wouldn't necessarily recommend this as a standalone. If you are looking for a mafia romance (or a darker romance) that has a more depth here is the perfect book (and series).

I saw Katee Robert, clicked request, and didn’t even notice the “mafia romance” label. That’s on me. Stopped after chapter 1, as it does seem to lean heavily into the mafia aspect, but can confirm that the writing style aligns well with her other books and that those who like her other books (and also mafia romance) should enjoy this one.

Thanks to NetGalley and Forever for the ARC.

Twisted Secrets is book 3 in The O’Malley Series and follows Cillian O’Malley and Olivia Rashidi. Cillian was the perfect blend of cocky, protective, and vulnerable and Olivia was such a strong heroine with a bit of mystery surrounding her. These two were absolute ❤️‍🔥🥵❤️‍🔥 together. Overall, a great addition to the series and it perfectly sets up the next book for Sloan’s story, which I’m looking forward to. 4⭐️
