Thank you NetGalley and Forever for the e-ARC in exchange for my honest review. If Katee Robert writes it i will ABSOLUTELY read it. This is so far my favorite of the series it seems to get better and better. Katee writes my FAVORITE taboo, age gap and dark romance i cannot read fast enough and devour her books in under 24 hours. She is absolutely an auto buy author for me.

This series just gets better and better! The banter between Olivia and Cillian is so good, and I absolutely loved the storyline, as well as the tidbits of secondary story lines thrown in!

This is the third instalment in Katee Roberts O’Malley series. It was a quick and fun read, exactly what I have come to expect from this author.

Cillian O’Malley is dealing with loss and grief, while trying to enter his his new role in the family “business”. Olivia Rashidi, a single mom with bagage and a past, knows that she should stay far, far away from Cillian…

Although I enjoyed the book, I didn’t find it as captivating as the first two books in the series. Parts of the story and the connection between Olivia and Cillian felt rushed, and I didn’t fell as connected to them.

This book did a nice job of introducing up to the next couple, and I’m really excited for book 4 and to continue with this series.

Thank you Forever and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Twisted Secrets (re)releases September 26, 2023

2.5

This is the third installment in the O’Malley’s series — a mafia series that follows the lives of the six O’Malley siblings.

Twisted Secrets mainly focuses on the relationship dynamics between Cillian O’Malley and Olivia Rashidi, but also takes a little bit of time to integrate the storyline of Sloan O’Malley and her start to exiting the mafia life.

Olivia is a bartender, single mother, and half sibling to Dmitri who we met in book 2, and was a contender to marrying Cillian’s sister Carrigan.

The plot is finally starting to become the forefront in this series and the spice was more tame, which I attribute to the new element of having a single parent as a leading character.
That being said, I hated how they went from 0-100 in the first chapter. How do you go from drinking apple juice in a bar to fucking in an alley when there was no flirting?

I’m also getting really tired of finding continuity errors within this series that’s under a rerelease. To put it bluntly, it comes across as really lazy.
Callie announced to the family that their pregnancy was due in early January, and then a chapter later Aiden told Cillian they were due in MARCH.

Overall I found this one pretty dry and not compelling. It’s very counterintuitive to have a fmc flee the confines of her mafia family in New York, only to throw herself into the hands of a Boston lineage because the dick was good…

cw: on page panic attack, nightmares, kidnapping

Quite possibly the best entry in the O’Malley series yet. This family continues to prove that they can thrive in the grey 💛 thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy.

When I thought this series couldn’t get more interesting and addicting .. you add Cillian O’Malley, A men dealing with loss and grief, shame and finally! Finally finding love in Olivia..

Olivia who comes with “baggage” and secrets.. she’s trying to provide for herself a second chance at life and guess who is not having any of that!? HER EX and FAMILY 💀

I don’t want to spoil anything for you because you just need to get on with this series! It is absolutely everything! It has all the right ingredients to make it your next favorite Mafia Series ♥️

When I tell you I devoured this in a day! I ATE THIS ONE UP SO FAST! I cannot wait for book 4!

Thank you Forever and Netgalley for providing with a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

I will read anything that Katee Robert writes and this series is no exception! I can’t wait for the rest of this series to be re released! This one is my favorite of the O Malleys so far!

I was surprised I got into this one so fast!

Okay, so for sure, so far the O’Malley series has been my favorite Katee Robert collection (and really that says a lot.) But still! Compared to some of the others couples, we went into Cillian and Olivia with fairly limited lead in, and it still got me invested and flying through in a heartbeat. The plot of this was very fast paced, Olivia is on the run from a dark past and Cillian steps in as it starts to catch up to her. Wrap up felt a little rushed and kinda loose, but I do know some of these plot lines continue on in the next couple stories so I’ll let it go a bit.

Really mob/mafia romances are not a particular genre of mine, but I’ll easily say that of what I’ve read in the past, this series is the hands down winner. Love love love that it’s getting a re-release. Onto the next one!

This didn’t work for me at all, perhaps because I’m a grown ass adult who long ago grew out of the schoolgirl fantasy of being the “very special girl who’s the only one who can see through the tortured, narcissistic man who only offers casual sex but no commitment” phase.
