**I received Twisted Secrets as an arc through Net Galley**

Twisted Secrets is the third installment of The O'Malley's series. This books follows Cillian- the middle son of the O'Malley crime family, and Olivia- the half-sibling of Russian mobster, Dmitri. This book starts off with a bang but then gets less steamy until the endish. I enjoyed the plot and felt like it moved the story along well. It also sets up the next book in the series, which I am excited to read. I enjoyed the obstacles that Cillian and Olivia face and was never bored! I recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of Katee Roberts. mafia romance or who has started this series!!

Spice rating- 3.5/5

Twisted Secrets is the third book in the O’Malleys series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Cillian and Olivia have instant lust for each other, and they decide to have a no strings attached arrangement. But things get messy when they find out they’re from rival crime families. And yet, they can’t stay away from each other.

I had a hard time getting into this. It just didn’t capture my attention. Maybe it would have been better if I had read the previous books in the series, because I feel like there’s more to Cillian in those.

I did like the whole rival families aspect, and the way Cillian was so determined to protect those that he loved. And Olivia was pretty bada** at times.

This is dark and emotional. While I didn’t love it, I didn’t hate it either. I think I have to read the previous books.

While this is not the first book in the O'Malleys series, it was the first one in the series that I have read, and it pulled me right into that world and made me want to read the other books ASAP so I can find out the backstory on all of the other characters. I loved Killian and Olivia as MCs - two scarred, broken people trying to find a new way through life, and finding that opportunity in each other. The Romanovs were fascinating side characters and I want to see if Katee Robert has a series about them too.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

My thoughts:
I really enjoy this mafia series by Katee Robert, even more than her Gods of Olympus books. The characters are raw, real and well thought out. I really enjoy Cillian and Olivia together but do wish the climactic part of the books would have been stretched out a bit longer. I hope the next book is about Sloane!

I wanted to like this book because I loved this author but I just didn't. The only reason I finished it was because I am devoted once I start a book/series. Olivia was a brat throughout the whole book and seriously not deserving of Cillian. Also I felt like their relationship just didn't delve as deep as the previous ones in this series. Overall I was disappointed and am hoping the books about the other siblings are better

Katee Robert makes me realize I love things I didn’t know I love - like mafia romance! I love this series. I flew through all 6 books because I couldn’t stop reading. I love getting to follow along with previous characters' stories in the subsequent books. The family dynamics are relatable to anyone with a family (even if it's not a mafia family!)

The O’Malleys are fascinating and interesting. Olivia and Cillian are 🔥🔥🔥. The whole series is a great read.

Twisted Secrets was previously published as Indecent Proposal in mass market. Twisted Secrets is book 3 in the O’Malleys series, but I did not read the first two books. Each book follows a different couple, and while it’s probably helpful to read the series in order, but not necessary.

Olivia Rashidi and Cillian O’Malley have a Romeo and Juliet vibe going on. Both come from a family in organized crime and because they are in opposing gangs they have a “forbidden” element. They are drawn to each other and can’t seem to stay away from each other. Both characters were compelling and survivors. The pacing at the beginning was a little off. One thing that confused me was Harley’s age. She acted more like a 24 month old not a 14 month old like she is written in the book.

If you are looking to dip your toes into mafia romance, this is a good place to start.

Filled with moments that will steal your breath! Book three in The O'Malleys series, introduces you to Olivia Rashidi - a young mother who's trying to start over and escape from her mob family connections.

Enter into the equation Cillian O'Malley, immediately drawn to Olivia, he makes her an offer she can't refuse. When they both start to develop feelings and the dangers of Olivia's past come back to haunt them, can they survive with both of their lives and hearts in tact?

This book is my favorite in the series and I was on the edge of my seat for the last half of the story. I love the O'Malley family and revisiting these books is my favorite thing to do!

This series continues to by favorite of Katee’s! I absolutely loved this one as much as the first 2, maybe even more, I honestly can’t pick a favorite so far.

Olivia Rashidi wants nothing to do with the mob after the violence she witnessed growing up as a the mob boss' daughter. All she wants to do is live a quiet life with her daughter and give her a better life than she had. But when she meets Cillian O'Malley she can't resist him, despite his family ties. But you can't always outrun the demons of your past.

Katee Robert delivers another steamy, dark romance! What romance-lover doesn't appreciate a good taboo mob story? Twisted Secrets is fast-paced and pulls you right into the dark underbelly of Boston. If you like an alpha bad boy with a soft-side, then you absolutely have to pick this up!

Katee is an auto-buy and -read for me, and while this is not my favorite of her novels, it is a very good representation of why that is so. As always, check the disclaimers for this book because it is a dark romance. The only reason this is not rated higher for me is because I do not like it when the heroine is not heroic at all and does absolutely nothing to save herself. I like my heroines as competent as they are feisty, and this is more of a rescue the damsel in distress kind of book.

I loved the mob-world Katee built and the way she weaves the characters from the entire family, so that you want to binge through the entire series to see what happens next. I know I now am going to go binge the rest of the series myself. As always, I will continue to be an avid Katee Robert fan and will read anything she gets published!

Another great book in the O’Malley series! I really enjoy how each of these books are interconnected and how you get to know each of the O’Malleys a little better each book. I really loved it

It took me a while to get around to reading this because it is the third book in the O'Malley series so I want to catch up! As usual, Katee Robert's does an excellent job of writing books that are easy to devour! One great thing about these books is that they can be read as standalones. I really liked that this book gave us more on Cillian where the other didn't. Thank you for the great ARC!!

I’m not sure how it happens but this mafia romance book has a sweet and soft side. Cillian is harboring a lot of quilt after his brother’s death.  He spends his time in Jameson’s Bar where he becomes intrigued by the new bartender.  Olivia is a single mom trying to avoid anything related to the mafia, Cillian is the last thing she needs.  Too bad she can’t stay away and he’s determined to chase her.

Let me say, Cillian surprised me.  His hurt was emotional and his vulnerable side was touching.  But his vulnerability is not a weakness, he is also tough and has an amazing protective side. I loved his determination and the way he pursued Olivia.  Nothing was going to stop him, even if it put his relationship with his family at risk. Olivia is just as stubborn which leads to a lot of entertaining banter and a bit of a push\pull relationship.  There was not denying their chemistry.

This is a fast-paced plot with sweet and swoony moments, open-door spice, tension, angst, danger, and battles that must be fought (inner and outer).  The Boston Irish Mafia world is expanded with more of the O’Malley family dynamics and consequences of not following what is expected.  I liked the way we saw the 3 mafia families come together to fight a new enemy.

I’m loving this series.  I love how each book is unique.  The books can be read as a standalone, but weaved together with a glimpse of the sibling featured in the next book.

I like this series because of how unique each book has been, but I would say that this on we okay in comparison to the others. The spice was alright and I had a hard time connecting to Cillian and Olivia’s story despite being intrigued by them and their characters.

As a fan of Katee Robert, I knew I had to sink my teeth into this book. I didn’t realize there were books before this one in the series since titles have changed, however Robert knows how to bring interesting characters and steam in between the pages! I'm not the biggest fan of a mafia romance but still enjoyed this installment, there were some parts I felt were a bit tedious but still an enjoyable read in the end and would recommend. You won't regret reading about Cillian and Olivia and how their story unravels!

Thank you to NetGalley & Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for this reader's copy!
