I’m absolutely obsessed with the O’Malley family - and Cillian O’Malley is just the bad boy I needed. A single mom/bad boy romance, where her sordid Russian mob past interferes with her new romance and safe life with her daughter, Cillian and Olivia have to decide if they trust each other or if they are better off on their own. I absolutely loved the chemistry and spice between these two - from 5% in mind you!! - and whether it was an alley, car, or behind a locked door, Katee Roberts once again weaves some wicked good plot in between scenes of deliciously hot spice.

This series is definitely a good starter series for Mafia Romances - there’s just enough mafia aspects to dip your toe while not going too far off the deep end - but there’s no doubting the O’Malley clan is one of the hottest Irish mob families on the scene. Definitely pick this one up today!

I really enjoyed this installment of the O'Malley series. I really enjoyed getting to know Cillian better and seeing all the guilt he carries after his brothers death. I also really enjoyed Olivia as a character and her secret background with the Russians. The tension between Cillian and Olivia was sizzling and I could not help becoming deeply invested in their relationship. I was 100 percent rooting for their happily ever after.

Cillian and Sloan’s story was fantastic. Twisted Secrets was an excellent addition to the series. I loved it!

There were so many different dynamics at play and I thought they were all woven together perfectly. There was a lot of conflict, tension, a lot of different layers, and multiple POVs happening. This was a full, intriguing story that had me turning the page like a mad woman.

I really liked Cillian and Sloan. Cillian was fighting demons from his past and trying to move on. It was almost like he was stuck, wanting to break free. He is just so much more than he seems to be and I just wanted to hug him. He could be so sweet and sincere. And then there's Olivia, running from a past she can't really run from but staying strong and doing everything she can for the people she loves. There is a lot of tension as they meet but sparks are seriously flying and I love that oil and water dynamic they had in the beginning before they really start to get to know each other. I loved Cillian and Sloan’s barriers breaking down, owning up to past mistakes, and coming to trust one another. It was awesome. There were so many sweet and vulnerable moments but also a lot of heated ones and I enjoyed them all.

Cillian and Sloan live in a crazy, intense world where there are lots of power plays happening. It's got a very Sopranos-esq feel to it. The O'Malley heirs face so many struggles in this elaborate world. I love that it's from multiple POVs. There are several people we hear from but the overturn isn't quick, so it isn't confusing and I think it really added a lot to the story to get the different views.

There was a nice amount of intensity and drama in this. The writing was great, I was totally pulled in. It was very much a page-turner for me. That ending, I was seriously on the edge of my seat. There is a nice amount of detail throughout. It’s intense, a bit violent, and I feel like it's unique. We have our love interests of course and there is an HEA but with the crazy world they live on, there's just so much more at play. I'm completely hooked.

This is such a great series. Bring on the next book!

Note: I previously read and reviewed this book when it was titled An Indecent Proposal.

I'm loving this series being re-released by Katee Robert. In this series, the O"Malleys are part of the Irish mafia in Boston. In previous books 2 of the siblings met and formed relationships with dueling families in the Irish mafia. In this book, Cillian, the middle son, gets to know Olivia, a standoffish bartender at their local hangout.

It turns out that Olivia is related to Dmitri Romanov, who had been promised to Carrigan O'Malley in the last book. After she ended up with James Halloran, Dimitri is not happy with the O'Malleys and he does not condone this hookup between his half sister and one of the O'Malleys.

Though I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I think I liked the last two just a little bit better. It was nice to see a new face, though, in Olivia, and I'm looking forward to seeing what goes on with the last 3 un-matched O'Malleys in the future books.

I received a preview copy and am giving an honest review.

They've flirted in previous books, and now its their story - Cillian and Olivia.

Olivia succumbs to Cillian charms, eventually exposing him to her family in the Russian Mafia. Unfazed he falls head or heels for her and her daughter, and will do anything to protect them.

Olivia's head games and inner monologue were taxing with this story. Cillian saved the story with his sexiness, toughness and charisma. I'm left wondering will his closing comments come to play in future books.

Thank you Forever for the complimentary copy.

Pleasantly surprised!

This is a multi-POV mafia romance with well-written spice. I didn't know this was the third book into a series when I started reading it but didn't have any problem following the plot. So, it still reads as a standalone.

The chemistry between the main leads was natural and authentic. I personally loved their internal dialogue. The author did a great job of showing how their feelings and trust developed. This book heavily leans toward more of an emotional approach to the typical mafia romance which I appreciated. In addition, FML is a mother to boot! You don't see main characters as mothers often enough.

Twisted Secrets is the third book of The O’Malleys series of interconnected standalones and is Cillian O’Malley’s story. I knew from the first book that I needed Cillian’s story! He feels guilty for his brothers death and is trying to make himself a better man. When he sets his eyes on Olivia he knows he wants her. But she knows all about the mafia life and wants nothing to do with it. Yet, she can’t stay away from Cillian. But she has to make sure her daughter’s safety comes above all else. I loved Cillian and Olivia and their connection and chemistry. This story was a little slow in places for me but I still really enjoyed it. It was a quick read and I can’t wait to start Sloan’s story!

Officially an O'Malley stan.

I didn't know this was the 3rd book in the series but Katee did a great job summarizing the major plot lines so I didn't feel lost.

Love that our FMC isn't a damsel in distress and absolutely love the tropes in this book. We have enemies to lovers, touch her and you'll die, one bed. This book might make me into a mafia/mob gal.

I have no idea why I’m so entranced by these books! Cillian might’ve taken my favorite O’Malley sibling spot. A single mom that Cillian is desperate to protect and right the wrongs of his past. It’s just so sweet. I can’t wait to read more from this family!

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

Katee Roberts continues her O'Malleys series with book three, Twisted Secrets. Olivia is the illegitimate daughter of a Russian mobster, and his dying wish was that she would be accepted into the family as a true Romanov. However, she doesn't want that life for her or her young daughter, and she moves to Boston to start fresh. Cillian O'Malley meets Olivia at the bar where she works as a bartender. She knows who he is and what his family does--and she wants nothing to do with him. Until one quick, hot, almost violent hookup leads to a dinner date and then to feelings she can't deny. Cillian makes her feel safe, and when she and her daughter are threatened, he proves he'll go to any length to protect her--even putting her above family.

This book is the perfect third book, and it sets up the fourth book subtly but perfectly. I love how interconnected they are and all the cameos from the previous couples. Each O'Malley has their own personality and their own struggles, and I've loved watching Roberts expand and explore their individual nuances. Like the first two books, Twisted Secrets is brutal and bloody, but also incredibly hot.

It's a fast-paced, steamy read, perfect for fans of Sophie Lark and other mafia romances. If you don't mind a little violence with your smut, then this is definitely one to pick up. 4/5 stars.

I've been a complete sucker for this O'Malley family and this book was probably my favorite so far! I have been so excited for Cillian's story, but Olivia stole this show!!! I love her single mother attitude where nothing but her baby is important. There were a few times where I was quite dumb founded, not giving out spoilers, by the actions of the character, but overall....she was a complete badass!

Robert's gives us their signature steam, with a dash of vulnerability as well as found family!

Overall, it was a wild and fantastic ride! Thank you to Read Forever and Netgalley for the advanced readers copy. All thoughts are my own!

Book 3 of the O'Malley series gives you everything you didn't know you needed from a mafia romance. It's a "just one more chapter" kind of book that you won't be able to put down.
A sexy determined woman (and loving mother) with an overprotective tormented man who just want to indulge in a 'no strings attached' situationship but neither of them can commit to not commit. They heal trauma and losses while finding love with someone they never thought could work. Katee did it again, y'all!

4/5

I have seen Katee Robert books all over TikTok and Instagram but this is the first one I’ve read. This is also the first mafia style book I’ve read and I think I’m hooked. This book had me captured from the very first page. I would recommend this book to Katee Robert fans and anyone looking for an intro book for this author.

I just reviewed Twisted Secrets by Katee Robert. #TwistedSecrets #NetGalley

Katee Robert literally never fails to disappoint. This one is just as spicy, emotional, and full of drama as the last in the series. The single mother trope gives it a fresh new conflict though, setting it apart..
The FMC was really the only issue I had with the book. She was a bit extra in a lot of the wrong ways. The MMC though 😍 we love a man who goes after what he wants.

"Twisted Secrets" by Katee Roberts takes readers on an electrifying journey through a world teeming with greed, ambition, and passion. Olivia Rashidi, determined to shield her daughter from her mafia family's clutches, finds herself irresistibly drawn to Cillian O'Malley, a man tormented by his violent past. Their chemistry is undeniable, and amidst the chaos of their contrasting backgrounds, a fierce connection ignites.
In this installment of The O'Malley's series, we delve into Cillian's complex psyche as he grapples with the aftermath of his brother's death, relying on vices like alcohol and violence. However, it's Olivia who sees through his façade, sparking a flame of hope and renewal within him. Their relationship is a turbulent dance between the two worlds they come from, and the tension between what they should do and what they can't resist adds a layer of intense angst to the narrative.
Katee Robert crafts a narrative that's both intense and scintillating, making this a quick and captivating read. The magnetic pull between Olivia and Cillian keeps you on the edge of your seat, eagerly anticipating how they navigate the precarious paths of love and loyalty. "Twisted Secrets" is an enthralling addition to The O'Malley's series, adding depth and passion to the ongoing saga.

Rival crime families, deception, and a single mom running from it all made for such an exciting story in the next installment of the O’Malley family! Olivia is determined to break ties with her Russian mob family for the sake of her own safety and her young daughter’s, but will have her half brother to contend with. Despite wanting to make a clean break from the violence and danger that comes from the power struggle of warring families, Olivia can’t help her attraction to Cillian O’Malley despite his family name. Though they agreed to a no strings situation, Cillian is the first man Olivia calls for when she’s in danger.

Katee Robert books are a guaranteed good time! I loved the broken and vulnerable Cillian O’Malley and his willingness to risk his own safety to protect Olivia and her child, even when he realizes the significance to the family politics in doing so. Olivia’s confidence and compassion as well as her desire for her and her daughter to be cherished made her such a lovable character who could hold her own. The drama in this series is so addictive!

Twisted Secrets is the third book in the O’Malleys mafia series. Katee Robert takes all the intrigue and machinations of a mafia romance and combines it with her special blend of strong characters and lots of spice.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Cillian O’Malley meets Olivia Rashidi while she’s tending bar at a pub under his family’s protection. Little does he know that she and her young daughter are on the run from her half brother Dimitri Romanov’s crime family. What he does know is that sparks fly as they throw quips back and forth, and it’s not a surprise when they hookup in an alley shortly after they meet. What is surprising is the way Cillian wants more than just a simple hookup, especially when Olivia steps up to help him out of trouble. Can this pair develop a relationship, all while trying to thwart the forces trying to keep them apart?

As bonkers as mafia romance is, it means the story can truly be classified as enemies to lovers. While Cillian and Olivia have sizzling chemistry and can’t keep their hands off each other, the fact that they are associated with rival families is a huge stumbling block that puts their lives in danger. They each come with plenty of family baggage of their own, too.

This book has plenty of drama and intrigue, and has a hint of fun that doesn’t always appear in mafia romance. But the biggest difference between this series rerelease and Robert’s later work is that everyone is straight. Honestly it feels a little weird at this point, since now I usually just assume that all Robert’s characters are queer unless otherwise mentioned.

While each book in this series can work as a standalone, Robert deftly sets up the premise for the next book. I’ve surprised myself by really enjoying this entire series so far, and can’t wait to read more. If you are a fan of family intrigue and a bit of suspense to go with your steamy romance, read Twisted Secrets and the rest of the O’Malleys series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ah, man. I really read the 2nd the book of series without realizing it was a series, AGAIN! After the death of Devlin, Cillian struggles with guilt and panic attacks. He finds solace in a bar where he meets Olivia, a bartender who resists his desires. However, Olivia's father wants to reunite her with her child, who is willing to kill, kidnap, and maim her. Olivia is also the sister of the Russian Mobster ruling New York. This book is intense, with a thrilling atmosphere. The spicy scenes could use some work.

Thanks so much to Netgalley for this advanced copy for an honest review.
