I think this was my favorite book in the series yet. It’s a little funny because it seems like with each additional book, a new mafia is added. The romance in this was spicy as hell and even had some tender moments. This was definitely a book with more plot in it than some of her others, which I really enjoyed.

This gripping tale is a rollercoaster of emotions, blending a family power struggle with a passionate romance that is both smoldering and heart-wrenching.

At the heart of this story is Olivia Rashidi, a woman determined to shield her young daughter from the toxic legacy of her mafia family. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she crosses paths with Cillian O'Malley, a man with a troubled past. The chemistry between them is electric, and it's clear that their connection runs deeper than they could ever have imagined.

Katee Robert masterfully explores themes of greed, ambition, and violence, drawing readers into a world where these elements shape the characters' lives. Olivia's determination to break free from her family's dark legacy is both admirable and relatable, making her a compelling and empathetic protagonist.

Cillian's character is a complex mix of vulnerability and strength, haunted by a violent past. Olivia's ability to see through his tough exterior and kindle a fire within him creates a passionate and intense romance that is impossible to resist. Their journey is one of healing and self-discovery, and it tugs at the heartstrings.

This is the next in the series and I am just enjoying these crime families. There are now 3 I think, they are all vying for power but the younger generation is falling for the wrong house, lol. In other words they need to form alliances and they are making enemies.
Love that Natasha is a single mom and Cillian who wants to be with her protects them both. It was sexy and there was a lot of action.

Read if you like:

I'm completely enthralled by the O'Malley family, and Cillian O'Malley might be my favorite.

He is the perfect embodiment of the bad boy I've been craving. Ruthless, broody, and dedicated to his family and his woman. This single mom/bad boy romance delves into the complex intersection of her tumultuous Russian mob past and her newfound love, threatening the security of her life with her daughter. In the face of these challenges, Cillian and Olivia must grapple with the question of whether they can trust each other or if their separate paths might be the safer choice.

What truly captivated me was the scorching chemistry and passion between these two characters, and this intense connection was evident from the very beginning. Whether it was in the shadows of an alley, the confines of a car, or behind a locked door, Katee Roberts masterfully weaves an intricate plot amidst scenes of irresistibly hot passion, delivering a truly captivating reading experience.

Twisted Secrets by Katee Robert is a contemporary mafia romantic suspense and the third book in The O'Malleys series. The book jumps between several points of view chapters, including our two main love interests.

Olivia is the half-daughter of the former boss of the Russian mob in New York City. For the sake of her daughter, she fled to Boston to try to get away from that life. But then Cillian O'Malley, son and accountant to a rival crime family, walks into her bar.

I continued to stay up late to read wide swaths of chapters from this series. I always tend to enjoy the chemistry between characters that Robert writes, in addition to the many layers they have. They feel true to life on the page.

This book was previously published as An Indecent Proposal. We keep getting peeks into the lives of a few of the other O'Malley siblings. Their chapters still occasionally drag for me, but less and less so as the series progresses.

I'm very excited to continue on with this series!

CW: murder, death, firearms, abduction, mentions of torture, assault, child endangerment

Katee always manages to pull me in no matter the premise. I don't always love mafia/mob romances but I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

this is the 3rd in the O'Malley's series. I actually haven't read the first 2 but I believe they can be read as stand alones as each book follows a different couple (or maybe I just spoiled the first 2 for myself lol)

I loved the relationship between Olivia and Cillian. They both had been burned in the past but I felt they really worked together. Cillian was a surprising cinnamon roll while Olivia was a bit more icy and i felt like thats why it worked so well between them.

The storyline was also fun, Olivia is running from her past and gets tangled up with another mob family in the process. Cillian is struggling with his own past but then he meets Olivia and she is like a bright light in his troubled mind. The story was centered on the mafia but it felt like it had a very sweet undertone overall which was surprising. I love the mix of suspense and sweetness and made it feel more contemporary.

Overall, this was a great romance and I really want to go back and read the first 2 now!

Katee Robert can write no bad. Mafia can be a hard one to really hit for me and yet this offers the perfect balance of angst, anticipation, tension, and spice.

Perhaps my favorite installment of the O'Malleys series, the themes of grief throughout really hit hard. This was a rollercoaster of crime and emotion. Having a main character that is a parent offers a deeper sense of danger and edge of the seat throughout without taking away from the spice and tension.

I'm loving this series! I was excited for this one because Cillian is my favorite sibling. The chemistry between him and Olivia is smoking hot. Olivia is my new favorite. She is fierce and I was completely invested in her. The tension is high and the romance steamy. I enjoyed that we also see what's happening in the other siblings lives and it got me excited for their stories as well. I'm loving to hate a couple and can't wait to see how the author redeems them!

This was definitely the heaviest book in the series so far and for good reason, his brother's death hit Cillian the hardest. Reading things from Cillian's pov was so emotional but it was written so well that it wasn't a struggle to read. The ties Olivia has to the NY Russian mob made for such an interesting part of the story especially after we got to start learning about them in the last book. Despite Cillian and Olivia's efforts to try and keep things simple with no strings that of course didn't go at all to plan and both obviously got attached quit quickly which was so much fun to read. Also seeing a few pov's from the other siblings who have yet to have their story told I'm so curious as to what's next for everyone.

Thank you @readforeverpub for the #gifted copy of TWISTED SECRETS.

I am thoroughly enjoying the O’Malley Family series by Katee Robert. They are spicy and full of danger that keep me hooked. This is my first mafia romance series and I’m a new fan of the subgenre.

TWISTED SECRETS is the love story of middle child Cillian O’Malley and Olivia Rashidi. Cillian has a playboy reputation but secretly has a heart of gold. The death of his little brother has absolutely rocked his world and he’s a changed man, although his family fails to see him that way.
Enter the beautiful and mysterious Olivia Rashidi. It turns out that this single mom is actually the half sister of the leader of an infamous Russian mob family. She’s trying to escape and to raise her young daughter free from a life of crime.

I loved the insta-attraction between these two characters and how it took them awhile to get to the “I love yous”. And I’m such a sucker for a bad boy with a heart of gold/secret soft side (in my books, not IRL!). The last 100 pages were intense and I flew through them to get to the ending.
I’m excited to get my hands on Sloane and Jude’s story next!

TWISTED SECRETS is out today!

Katee Robert always delivers an entertaining, richly detailed, and super spicy story - and TWISTED SECRETS was no exception! This was my first O’Malley book, but I’ll be going back to start from the beginning.

Thanks to NetGalley and Forever Books for the opportunity to read and review TWISTED SECRETS.

Twisted Secrets was so fun had me on the edge of my seat. Katee Robert never fails me I have yet to read a book of hers I didn’t like. I love a bad boy romance so this had me with that but it’s rare I read single parent romance and I’m now obsessed. The spicy the chemistry the drama I need more!

Another brilliant installment in the O'Malley's series! Twisted Secrets by Katee Robert was a story filled with wonderful characters and strong emotions. I flew through this one. We've already met Cillian in the other books but I've been really excited to get deeper into his story. And Olivia is a mysterious bad ass. I loved getting to read these two navigating their dangerous lives while being unable to deny the pull they gave toward each other. I was honestly surprised by how light the spice was in this one. Katee Robert really focused in on the plot and character development for this one and I'm here for it. I can't wait to read the next installment when it re-releases!

Thank you to readforeverpub and netgalley for this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

I’m absolutely obsessed with the O’Malley family - and Cillian O’Malley is just the bad boy I needed. A single mom/bad boy romance, where her sordid Russian mob past interferes with her new romance and safe life with her daughter, Cillian and Olivia have to decide if they trust each other or if they are better off on their own. I absolutely loved the chemistry and spice between these two - from 5% in mind you!! - and whether it was an alley, car, or behind a locked door, Katee Roberts once again weaves some wicked good plot in between scenes of deliciously hot spice.

This series is definitely a good starter series for Mafia Romances - there’s just enough mafia aspects to dip your toe while not going too far off the deep end - but there’s no doubting the O’Malley clan is one of the hottest Irish mob families on the scene. Definitely pick this one up today!

I really enjoyed this installment of the O'Malley series. I really enjoyed getting to know Cillian better and seeing all the guilt he carries after his brothers death. I also really enjoyed Olivia as a character and her secret background with the Russians. The tension between Cillian and Olivia was sizzling and I could not help becoming deeply invested in their relationship. I was 100 percent rooting for their happily ever after.

Cillian and Sloan’s story was fantastic. Twisted Secrets was an excellent addition to the series. I loved it!

There were so many different dynamics at play and I thought they were all woven together perfectly. There was a lot of conflict, tension, a lot of different layers, and multiple POVs happening. This was a full, intriguing story that had me turning the page like a mad woman.

I really liked Cillian and Sloan. Cillian was fighting demons from his past and trying to move on. It was almost like he was stuck, wanting to break free. He is just so much more than he seems to be and I just wanted to hug him. He could be so sweet and sincere. And then there's Olivia, running from a past she can't really run from but staying strong and doing everything she can for the people she loves. There is a lot of tension as they meet but sparks are seriously flying and I love that oil and water dynamic they had in the beginning before they really start to get to know each other. I loved Cillian and Sloan’s barriers breaking down, owning up to past mistakes, and coming to trust one another. It was awesome. There were so many sweet and vulnerable moments but also a lot of heated ones and I enjoyed them all.

Cillian and Sloan live in a crazy, intense world where there are lots of power plays happening. It's got a very Sopranos-esq feel to it. The O'Malley heirs face so many struggles in this elaborate world. I love that it's from multiple POVs. There are several people we hear from but the overturn isn't quick, so it isn't confusing and I think it really added a lot to the story to get the different views.

There was a nice amount of intensity and drama in this. The writing was great, I was totally pulled in. It was very much a page-turner for me. That ending, I was seriously on the edge of my seat. There is a nice amount of detail throughout. It’s intense, a bit violent, and I feel like it's unique. We have our love interests of course and there is an HEA but with the crazy world they live on, there's just so much more at play. I'm completely hooked.

This is such a great series. Bring on the next book!

Note: I previously read and reviewed this book when it was titled An Indecent Proposal.

I'm loving this series being re-released by Katee Robert. In this series, the O"Malleys are part of the Irish mafia in Boston. In previous books 2 of the siblings met and formed relationships with dueling families in the Irish mafia. In this book, Cillian, the middle son, gets to know Olivia, a standoffish bartender at their local hangout.

It turns out that Olivia is related to Dmitri Romanov, who had been promised to Carrigan O'Malley in the last book. After she ended up with James Halloran, Dimitri is not happy with the O'Malleys and he does not condone this hookup between his half sister and one of the O'Malleys.

Though I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I think I liked the last two just a little bit better. It was nice to see a new face, though, in Olivia, and I'm looking forward to seeing what goes on with the last 3 un-matched O'Malleys in the future books.

I received a preview copy and am giving an honest review.

They've flirted in previous books, and now its their story - Cillian and Olivia.

Olivia succumbs to Cillian charms, eventually exposing him to her family in the Russian Mafia. Unfazed he falls head or heels for her and her daughter, and will do anything to protect them.

Olivia's head games and inner monologue were taxing with this story. Cillian saved the story with his sexiness, toughness and charisma. I'm left wondering will his closing comments come to play in future books.

Thank you Forever for the complimentary copy.

Pleasantly surprised!

This is a multi-POV mafia romance with well-written spice. I didn't know this was the third book into a series when I started reading it but didn't have any problem following the plot. So, it still reads as a standalone.

The chemistry between the main leads was natural and authentic. I personally loved their internal dialogue. The author did a great job of showing how their feelings and trust developed. This book heavily leans toward more of an emotional approach to the typical mafia romance which I appreciated. In addition, FML is a mother to boot! You don't see main characters as mothers often enough.

Twisted Secrets is the third book of The O’Malleys series of interconnected standalones and is Cillian O’Malley’s story. I knew from the first book that I needed Cillian’s story! He feels guilty for his brothers death and is trying to make himself a better man. When he sets his eyes on Olivia he knows he wants her. But she knows all about the mafia life and wants nothing to do with it. Yet, she can’t stay away from Cillian. But she has to make sure her daughter’s safety comes above all else. I loved Cillian and Olivia and their connection and chemistry. This story was a little slow in places for me but I still really enjoyed it. It was a quick read and I can’t wait to start Sloan’s story!
