This series just keeps getting better. And hotter. Twisted Secrets is the new release of the third book in the O'Malley mafia series. This book features Cilian, who is struggling with his grief. Olivia is a single mom trying to escape her own ties to a mafia family.

This book focuses so much on trust and a moral code and what it means to put family first. It is hot and steamy but also deep and thought-provoking.

I especially appreciated that we got more insight into more characters for future books. There are so many tangled ties of love and loyalty and secrets.

for me, I think this couple is my least favorite. I have always thought Cillian was a little too crabby and sullen and it carries through most of this book. But his sheer determination to protect Olivia and to do things the right way instead of the family way makes me root for him the entire time. Robert does such a stellar job of weaving the story arc of all 6 couples into each book This is about Cillian and Olivia and her struggle for freedom from a past relationship. But we see happiness from Teague and Callie and glimpses of James and Carrigan and even hints to the next book. It's my very favorite to feel like I am getting a whole new story but staying firmly placed in the world I want to be in.

This was a solid read. Not my favorite in the series, but an easy read. I think Cillain may be my favorite O’Malley so far! I also liked the plot of this one more, although it was a bit slow at times. The last 20% had me hooked the entire time!

I haven’t read a mafia romance in a hot minute, and this book definitely reminded me that I loveeee the thrill of it all. The heat, the passion, the way my stomach dropped during the peak of the action…this book was anything but slow. The quick pace kept me lighting sparks as I turned the page, desperately anticipating whatever came next.

And she’s SPICY. So get ready to sweat while reading this one!!

I hope to read more from this series because it left so much unraveled between so many characters, and I need to be filled in. Asap.

"Twisted Secrets" follows the son of an Irish mob boss, Cillian O'Malley, and local bartender, Olivia Rashidi, as they clash in an effort to run and hide from their own pasts. Cillian is mourning a loss he has not been able to grieve. Olivia is a single mother trying to survive with her 14-month-old daughter, Hadley, while keeping her away from the violent lifestyle she once knew.

While Olivia knew from one look that the Irish man was nothing but trouble and went out of her way to keep her distance, rejecting his advances, there was something about him that kept pulling her into his orbit. He couldn't seem to get the thought of her out of his mind, and he was determined to show her that he was not the man she imagined him to be. When her past comes back to haunt her, Cillian is willing to go against his family's own wishes to protect her and Hadley at any cost - even if it means watching them disappear from his life forever.

Katee Roberts wields her pen like a knife with sharp edges. Everything is laid out and bare in the rawest of ways that you can't help but to connect with on an emotional spectrum. Through dual point of views, we're able to glimpse the struggles both characters face unbeknownst to the other, wondering when and how the other will learn of each other's secrets beneath the surface of lust and longing.

I highly recommend this novel for anyone who is interested in mafia romance tales with action-packed, heart-wrenching events that spur a couple to face their past and rise above. The spice, the love, the chaos, and the adorable little Hadley are well worth the read!

Thank you for the opportunity to read an ARC for Twisted Secrets by Katee Robert. She is the queen of spice, so in that way you know you’re going to be in for a good time! It just wasn’t really as much of my type of story as I expected, and it was rather predictable. It wasn’t my favorite of her series, I guess it just felt kind of flat and cliche.

I loved Olivia and Cillian's chemistry. She didn't immediately fall for any of his charming tactics and I enjoyed that. After all the drama it felt like it was over all too soon and I wanted more of them.
I also enjoyed getting to know the side characters that were introduced.

Olivia Rashidi came to Boston to get away from her family. For years her father never acknowledged her and on his death told her half-brother to bring into the family fold. But in order to protect herself and most importantly her daughter she snuck away.

When she meets Cillian O'Malley she recognizes his family name and its ties to the mob. She tries to stay away but when he offers a casual hook-up with no strings attached she goes for it.

Cillian is still reeling from his brother's death leaves him vulnerable. Not that anyone realizes except for Olivia. Pretty soon they're both falling for one another. When Olivia needs help Cillian is more than willing to step up and protect her and her daughter, even though she's part of a rival crime family.

“Twisted Secrets” is the third book in the O'Malleys series by Katee Robert. It tells the story of Olivia Rashidi, a young woman who is trying to escape her mafia family's past. When she meets Cillian O'Malley, a dangerous and mysterious man, she is drawn to him despite her better judgment.

The book is full of suspense, romance, and heat. The characters are well-developed and the plot is engaging. I especially enjoyed the chemistry between Olivia and Cillian. They are both strong and independent characters, but they also have a vulnerability that makes them relatable.

Here are some of the things I liked about the book:

Overall, I enjoyed “Twisted Secrets”. It is a well-written romance with a good story. If you are looking for a steamy romance with romantic suspense then I highly recommend “Twisted Secrets”.

Katee has done it again!

I have been absolutely loving this series! This is the third book in the O'Malley Series and follows Cillian as he battles his demons and finds love along the way.

I wasn't initially as drawn to Cillian but this book definitely changed my mind. He is so tortured after the traumas that his family has suffered. When he meets Olivia he finally finds someone that can quiet the pain in his mind. I felt for Cillian as he let people believe the worst of him as it was easier than admitting everything he was going through. I loved as he opened up to Olivia and how they found so much support and love with each other. I was especially sold in the way Cillian bonded with Olivia's daughter. It was just beautiful.

Katee also brought the spice and wow were these two explosive together! It was a good balance between spice and plot, though I would have liked a little more time with Olivia and Cillian together at the end. I can't wait for book 4!

Olivia is a mother to a young daughter, Hadley.
Cillian is on the edge. He's a hot mess, as is Olivia. She's motivated to keep her daughter safe from the mob. Lot's of drama with plenty of steam, This is a very different contemporary mafia read than the Olympus series, but still an entertaining, fast paced read.

Yet another captivating by the amazing Katee Robert. Katee always managed to write stories that are captivating and enthralling with characters that are addicting and plots that are exciting and intense. I never fail to love every book I read by Katee, and this book is no exception. This series has been set up so well throughout each book. We get books for specific characters, however the dynamic of the family and what we learn gets carried through each book which I adore. I'm not always a fan of mafia romances, it has to be done a certain way for me to truly enjoy myself while reading. Twisted Secrets by Katee Robert is book 3 in The O'Malleys Series. This book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the books in series order as there are characters and things referenced which will make the story flow better. This is the story of Olivia Rashidi and Cillian O'Malley. Olivia Rashidi is trying to escape the clutches of her powerful and dangerous family. She is barely making ends meet working at a bar that is in O'Malley territory. Cillian O'Malley has had his eye on Olivia since she started working there. It's obvious she wants nothing to do with him, but it doesn't stop him from trying. I loved this story and the backstory of the characters. Such a great read!

As usual, this was hot and well-written. Cillian is lovely. I don't read mob romance very often, but seem to enjoy them and this had great action and tension. Really fun. Robert has such an extensive back-catalogue and I hadn't gotten to this series yet. Thanks for the opportunity.

This was my first “Mob” read in a really long time, and man did I forgot how much I love them. And not to mention the spice was off the charts with this!!

In the aftermath of his younger brothers sudden death Cillian O’Malley is walking around living life as a shell of his former self. He gave up drinking, and smoking and is just going through the motions everyday. He goes to the same bar every night and orders his Apple Juice from the bartender, Olivia. One night after her shift things heat up in the alleyway, and they’re intimate. After that Cillian cannot get her out of his head. Bud Olivia has her guard up against meeting new people, because she is trying to outrun the life her crime family wanted for her. She also has a 14 month old baby girl named Hadley who she is trying to keep safe, and sheltered from a life with the mob. As their relationship heats up, and Olivia is threatened by her family she is forced to run. But Cillian refuses to let her go, and joins her. Will they be able to outrun the danger that is chasing them down? And will they ever be able to be together, with their families in opposing crime families?

This story was definitely spicy romance, and even part thriller with the action scenes. But most importantly it delivered the best HEA. And now I’m eager to read the rest of the books in the series!

Loved their relationship in this one and while I wished we had a little more relationship growth, I adored Cillian and his personal growth in this one! Definitely be sure to pick up all of these in the series because they are sooooo good.
