Stephanie Plum is back! Morelli is absent for most of the book, but it has plenty of Ranger. Stephanie even enlists both her mother and Grandma Mazur . This book is fun and full of quirky characters and situations. Highly recommend!
Dirty Thirty is yet another Stephanie Plum mystery. Just like the rest of the series, her character holds up alongside Lula and the rest of the cast. Another light read!

Humor, cozy mystery

Stephanie and Lula are back for another adventure. Stephanie is hired to go after a jewel thief, but when is anything simple in these books. Yes, this series is silly but I have found them to be enjoyable, I love the characters. Read this for fun!
4 stars
Sooo not enough Grandma for me. Maybe it's time for this series to end. Actually I think the ending might be the beginning of just that. Not sure if I'll read the next one or not. I don't think Stephanie's character has developed much from the first book. Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced copy. #NetGalley #DirtyThirty
I am always up for a good laugh, and Stephanie Plum (and more often Lula and Grandma Mazur) offer plenty in this latest adventure. There are some laugh-out-loud moments as Stephanie goes after a high-bond FTA. As nothing ever goes smoothly for Stephanie she calls on Ranger for help, which brings on another set of issues to deal with. Her indecision on Ranger vs Morelli is alive and well, with a surprise at the end. A very enjoyable read.
This is the thirtieth book in the Stephanie Plum series. I look forward to each book that comes out because I know I’m going to get a good laugh at Stephanie and Lula’s (mis)-adventures. I love the roles that family members and other supporting characters play, all of the delightful food that is shared, and the fact that Stephanie is often negotiating with people she went to high school with.
Stephanie is looking for Douglas Dugan, who missed his court date after being arrested for robbing a jewelry store. At the same time, Rabner, the owner of said jewelry store, hired her to bring him his security guard “Nutsy” Malone who Rabner thinks stole jewels from the safe. What could possibly go wrong?
Morelli is out of town for most of this book, so Ranger presents himself as temptation. Stephanie is caring for Bob the Dog while Morelli is away. Bob plays a pretty big role in the shenanigans, riding shotgun during their apprehensions, enjoying their culinary escapades, and even visiting Rangeman.
NetGalley and Atria Books have provided me with an advanced copy of this book. This is an honest review and opinions are my own.
This had everything I expect and love about a Stephanie Plumb book. Humor, adventure, a mystery and a wonderful cast of characters. Lula was fantastic (as always) and l loved that Bob (the dog) had a major role in this one. The ending was definitely a twist that leaves me waiting impatiently for the next book. A great read for any Stephanie Plum fan.
Thank you to NetGalley fro the advance ecopy of theis title. Stephanie is back! this time she is attempting to help a local jeweler solve a robbery, and looking for another troubled FTA. Morelli is absent for most of this installment, and things may or may not be heating p with Ranger. The fantasitc ending gives us a clue that she may be close to making a long term romantic choice! I, for one, am hoping the next book will move Stephanie along to a decision!
It’s always fun to read another Stephanie Plum novel. Interesting characters, humor, romance and Stephanie somehow always finding a way to get into crazy situations and trouble. The book ends with a cliff hanger which is all I will say, don’t want to spoil it for readers. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
Dirty Thirty was one of my favorite in the Stephanie Plum books! Must read if you are a fan or new to the series!
Dirty Thirty is another addition to the Stephanie Plum collection. Stephanie is given a new bounty hunter case and this involves a diamond heist from a local jeweler. Honestly the mystery itself isn't the star of the story, it's the crazy cast of characters who always show up. If you are a fan of Lula, Ranger, Grandma, etc. they all join in and add to the craziness. If you like the series this book will be as satisfying as the others. (no much Morelli though!)
Evanovich has a unique gift of writing zany comedy with one liners that crackle, this book includes plenty of that.
If you are a Plum fan, add this to your collection.
Thank you to Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is the thirtieth book in the Stephanie Plum series and it continues in the hilarious antics of all the other adventures. Stephanie and Lula are bounty hunters for a bail bonds company tracking down criminals who have missed their court dates. In this book Stephanie take an outside job from a local jeweler who wants her to find the security guard he fired after the store was robbed, but suspected of stealing a tray of diamonds afterwards. Stephanie knows the guy accused, she went to high school with him, but she doesn't believe he is guilty. While searching for him and hunting down her bounties chaos begins to happen. Her boyfriend Morretti is called to testify in a case out of town and leaves Bob, his big dog with Stephanie to doggie-sit. Lula is scared of a Grendel-like creature that is stalking her at night. There are exciting car chases, grave-diggings, and firebombings. Mayhem rains as usual.Plus Stephanie is constantly perplexed by her boyfriends as to which she likes best and her growing desire to settle down. While circumstances have her staying at Rangeman, she is trying to be faithful to Morelli. Can they help her solve her case and maybe help her decide
I think this Stephanie Plum adventure was one of the best yet. It was centered around a jewelry heist and there were plenty of twists and turns. All of the usual characters showed up, Lula, Grandma Mazur, Connie, Ranger, and Joe. I thought the plot in Dirty Thirty was more substantial than some of the previous books and I really enjoyed this one. But Stephanie, just make up your mind already -- is it Joe or Ranger?? Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this in return for my honest review.
I have loved every single book in this series.
WOW! Stephanie Plum does it again.
I did wish that Joe was not out of town for the whole book!!!
I wonder which proposal she will accept!
or is the series over?!?!
thank you!

Stephanie Plum is back and readers are invited along on her 30th journey. Lulu is her most Luluest in this book, convinced that there is a Grendel haunting her based on a video game she has been playing. Office Manager Connie continues her growth as a singular character who does more than provide a daily box of doughnuts and signing receipt tickets. Morelli is out-of-town to testify in a case and Ranger is more than willing to let Stephanie stay with him when circumstances make it difficult for her to stay in her apartment.
This adventure begins with the robbery of a jewelry store. Readers are treated to one car destroyed, apartment bombings, digging up bodies, a cousin's wedding, a road trip with Lulu & Bob, and other odd Plum-stories hijinks. Having read every book in this series, the characters, humor, and consistency in each of Evanovich's books makes them worth waiting a year to read. The ending of this work, will leave readers in a state of high watch for the 31st book in the series.
After the conclusion, Evanovich includes the Top Thirty lines from previous titles in the series as selected by the readers. This offers those who are fans of this series to reminisce about previous storylines.
Thank you NetGalley and Atria Books for allowing me to read this in return for an honest review.
Stephanie Plum, semi-successful bounty hunter, is back for another adventure. Accompanying her on her quest to get FTAs (Failure To Appear) who missed their court dates to 'reschedule" are her sidekick and "former ho" (as she frequently refers to herself) Lula and Bob, a large dog of indeterminate breed who eats everything in sight including many things one would assume were inedible. At the same time, there are the usual conflicts between Stephanie's two love interests, the mostly stable cop Joe Morelli and the mysterious and dangerous Ranger. In this outing, Stephanie is hired by a jewelry store owner to track down his former security guard. When the store was robbed, the security guard, Andy "Nutsy" Manley. stood by and let the robber escape with a bag of jewelry. Not only that, after the robbery it was discovered that a tray of loose diamonds was missing. The owner of the jewelry store, Martin Rabner, wants Stephanie to find Nutsy (an old schoolmate of hers) and find out what happened to the missing items from his store. The robber, Duncan Dugan, was quickly apprehended by the police, but the bag of jewelry was missing and he missed his court date. So she's got plenty of things to keep her busy. Then Lula becomes convinced that Grendel, a monster from a video game she's playing, is breaking into her apartment at night. There are the usual car mishaps and fire bombings and people staying "temporarily" with Stephanie for one reason or another. Oh, and Stephanie must once again hire some people with unusual skills to help her sort out the real criminal in the case.
Fans of the series will find that no new ground is broken here, but the characters are still funny and up to their usual adventures. As always, the story ends on something of a cliffhanger, so we'll all have to see if any of the big questions in Stephanie's life are resolved next time around (I'm not holding my breath!).
Fans of the Stephanie Plum series will be overjoyed to see this, the 30th title in the series. It delivers everything her many loyal readers expect, and as a bonus, it looks like Stephanie might be a step closer to a marriage. But, as always, it is complicated! It's all here -- the capers, the laughs, the hilarious main and supporting characters, and the romance. I look forward to recommending this title.
Well I hadn’t kept up on Stephanie Plum. I think book number 20 was the last book I read. I’m very sad to say that nothing has really changed since then. I did appreciate the ending cliff hanger and hope that it will actually move this series along a bit instead of always having the Ranger/Morelli triangle.
Loved it! Another great job by Janet Evanovich. Surprise ending...ready for the next book :) We get to see more of Ranger and Stephanie interaction. I would love to see more of Grandma and her quirkiness weaved into the story, but we do get to see her a little in this book. All in all, nothing but thumbs up for this book!
The latest in the Trenton Bounty Hunter series does not disappoint. Stephanie’s family, friends, coworkers and love interests never fail to entertain. What will get blown up, who will she choose, will she capture her targets, what will Grandma do….? Come for the mystery, stay for the fun!
