I loved this book. It followed the same story line as most of Diana Palmer's books. But that doesn't make a difference. It is was such a good read I couldn't put it down. I was almost late for a funeral because I wanted to finish it before I got ready.
I highly recommended this book. I am looking forward to Justin's story.
3.5-stars
Wyoming Proud by Diana Palmer is very angsty and emotional romance. Erin has loved Ty for such a long time, but he does not see her as more as his sister’s friend. They have known each other for a long time and have history, but for him, she has never attracted him, until now. After a few dates, they give into temptation and then everything blows up. Now Erin has left for Wyoming with a big secret and Ty has realized what Erin truly means to him. Can he get her back before it’s too late? Their journey was not easy, they struggled with communication and feelings, but you cheer them on until the end.
Happy reading.
If you love cowboys who can be idiots sometimes, sweet heroines who know how to love, ranch life, and family, then WYOMING PROUD is just the book you need.

I enjoy Diana Palmer's books and this one was really good. I enjoy the way she brings the characters alive in the stories. She has an amazing way of allowing the reader to feel all of the emotions that the characters feel. This book is a part of a series but you don't have to read all of the b00ks in the series to enjoy this one. Erin has had a crush on Ty forever and they finally get together only to have secrets come between them and tear them apart. Ty realizes too late that he made a mistake and tries to win Erin back. If you enjoy westerns and second chances you will enjoy this book.
Thank you to NetGalley for an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Usually I’m instantly taken by most men in the books I read, especially the cowboy ones.
This one was different. I thought Ty was a total blockhead for the either book! Even when he changed his tune and realized his mistake, I didn’t change my opinion.
The entire boom was a throwback to remanded in the 1980s, which I’m not opposed to but Erin just seemed helpless and rather hopeless. I did love the puppies in the book, particularly mischievous Beau.
I used to read a lot of Diana Palmer’s books back in the day. It all started because I was giddy that we shared a last name, only to find out later hers was a penname, which made me a bit sad. (In my defense, I was a good bit younger when I first found her books.) Needless to say, I was more than happy when I was offered the chance to read this one early, thanks to the publisher and NetGalley.
To say this is a very character-driven novel is an understatement. Ms. Palmer spends a good bit of time building the backstory between the main characters as well as who they are at the beginning of the story’s timeline. Erin is the character you laugh with, cry with, and cheer for. Ty is the big jerk you love to hate. There’s a lot of angst in this book, and it’s definitely an emotional rollercoaster, so if that’s not something you enjoy in your romance books, this isn’t the one for you. That said, of course, it’s incredibly well-written as it’s a Diana Palmer book, after all. My only gripe was I felt that the ending was very rushed. I wanted to watch Ty suffer and grovel a bit more than he did. All in all, it’s a very entertaining read. Now, if you need me, I’ll be buried under this author’s backlist, trying to make up for all I’ve missed of hers for the last few years!

Diana Palmer’s legion of fans are going to be completely bowled over by her latest entrancing contemporary romance, Wyoming Proud.
When Erianne Mitchell had clapped eyes on Ty Mosby, it had been love at first sight. A sizzling attraction had quickly ensued and Erianne had begun to hope that she could have a future with Ty – until a devastating mistake had cruelly wrenched them apart and left her with no other choice but to flee to Wyoming with a secret she daren’t reveal to anyone. Ty must never ever discover what she’s hiding and she fully intends to make a new life for herself and the child she is carrying.
Ty would do anything to wind the clock back and find Erianne and beg for her forgiveness. He knows what he’s lost and he is willing to do whatever it takes to be reunited with the woman who means the world to him. Winning back her trust is Ty’s number one priority, but when he finds her again, will Erianne be willing to forgive and forget? Is she ready to give their relationship another chance? Or will Erianne’s pride end up coming between her and Ty?
When fate deals them a hand that will draw them even closer than before, Ty and Erianne realize that they need to put their trust in one another and work together – or else risk losing everything.
With brilliantly drawn characters, a fast-moving plot, vivid descriptions of Wyoming and plenty of tension, emotion, drama, passion and sensuality, Wyoming Proud is a dazzling tale of second chances, irresistible desire and love lost and found from one of the best-loved voices in romantic fiction: Diana Palmer.
3.5 Stars
Erin has been in love with Ty, who is also her boss, since she was a teenager. She gave up on ever catching his attention romantically, but then he asks her out on a date. Erin doesn’t think the date is anything more than just a ruse to get a persistent female off Ty’s tail, and it is a little of that, but Ty has been seeing Erin a bit differently lately. More than just his little sister’s best friend.
They end up sleeping with each other, and from Erin’s POV it seems Ty regrets and feels guilty, so she makes it seem like it didn’t mean much when it really meant the world to her. She ends up pregnant (in the book description), but other stuff is going on: her father is ill, financial woes thanks to her idiot father, and then Ty is an idiot too!
Ty’s company loses a bid to a competitor that came in with lower prices. Ty is told that Erin is responsible. Ty believes the accusation despite Erin’s denials.
Yep, there was a lot of angst. I wanted to strangle Ty and Erin’s father! When a guy’s an idiot there has to be a proper amount of groveling to salvage the romance for me. Did Erin forgive him? Well, I guess you’ll have to read it and see, but this is a romance. I was happy with how it all turned out, and I was compelled to read straight through after I got to the 30% mark. It was a page-turner!
I’ve been wanting to read one of Diana Palmer’s romances for quite some time, she’s such a legend in the genre! I was happy I finally got my chance. While Wyoming Proud was a bit more angsty than I usually prefer, I enjoyed it and would like to read more of her backlist soon!
This is book 12 in the Wyoming Men series by Diana Palmer and I have been enjoying all of these books. I love the characters, the storylines and how so many people know each other in these small towns. So many of the previous characters seem to pop up in the books and I like being able to see what they've been up to.
Erianne/Erin has been friends with Annie and her brother Ty for a long time. They are like family and Erin has been working for Ty at his company for a long time. When a bid goes wrong and Ty finds out that someone went behind his back and betrayed him, he hires a detective agency to find out who did it. When they tell him it was Erin, he doesn't go digging to see if they were right, he just fires her and tells her not to contact his sister again. That was a little shocking seeing how they have all been friends for so long and he is easily able to believe that she could do that.
Poor Erin has a really hard time of it and Ty just keeps making things harder for her. She loses everything and ends up leaving town to live with a distant cousin when she finds out she's pregnant with Ty's baby. After what he did, I wouldn't have even told my cousin who the father really was because he never would have seen me again. She was down and out and he just kept making things harder for her. I thought this guy was a total jerk for the longest time and smiled when he realized what he lost and how heart broken he was. He deserved that and more, for a longer period of time. I don't see how she'll ever trust him again but she's made of stronger stuff than I am because she loves him even after he hurt her emotionally when she was already hurting.
All these bad things kept happening to Erin and I kept expecting to see her fall apart but she never did, she just took it all in stride and kept going.
There were a few deaths in this book and that was sad to see. But I loved this book and will definitely be reading more of this series when the books come out.
Disclosure: I was given an e-ARC of this book via NetGalley but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Wyoming Proud by Diana Palmer is a readable, sort of cowboy romance, that has a different take on things that one normally finds in a romance. Ty Mosby is a very wealthy man, a businessman who builds things. He has a staff he trusts to take care of the details but he is very hands-on. Erin Mitchell was his sister’s best friend and a whiz at math so she did most of the bids. The one thing everyone but him knew was that Erin had been in love with him since she was thirteen. But, seeing him every day had become enough for her. Until, he asked her out. He was doing it to discourage a new assistant he had who seemed to be everywhere with her hands and her smile. He wanted her to think he was taken. Also, he liked Erin. Then after a pleasant evening, he asked her out again, to his home where he would cater a dinner for them. She was nervous, but his sister, Annie, her best friend, assured her she was safe with him. Well, neither of them were drinkers but this evening they both had wine and before long the inevitable happened. Embarrassed, the next morning she assured him that it had happened to her before and he shouldn’t take it too seriously.
They lost a big bid and to a company that was notorious for underbidding and shoddy workmanship and materials. Ty was beside himself. He had had dinner with the developer the night before and he man repeated some accusations that were beyond the pale. Now this. Who had leaked the bid? He hired an investigator to find out and it was Erin. He fired her. Well, to make a long story short, things with her father weren’t going well and after he died she went home to find out her house was being repossessed. He had mortgaged it and gambled away the money. She had to be out. This is turning into quite the mess. Erin was independent. She accepted help from Annie, but never for herself, only her father. She loved Ty and was 100% loyal, but he didn’t internalize that. Ty was an interesting guy: tough businessman but raised puppies and vetted their new owners very carefully. He loved them. It was safe to love them. Two really good characters. A convoluted but possible plot full of lies and intrigue. A good read.
I was invited to read a free e-ARC of Wyoming Proud by Harlequin Trade Publishing, through Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #Netgalley #HarlequinTradePublishing #DianaPalmer #WyomingProud
Wyoming Proud is the story of Ty and Erin. Erin has always been in love with Ty, her best friend's older brother, but Ty has never seen her as a romantic interest. Despite that, she has always remained in his periphery and even works for him as a cost estimator. Ty asks her out on a date, but she believes it's to put off an aggressive employee who has been pursuing him. Erin has not had an easy life since her mom died a few years before. Her father hasn't been able to maintain steady work and is not careful with money, landing them in debt many times. Her life takes a turn for the worse with several different events all colliding to force Erin to leave town and forge a life somewhere else.
At the beginning of the book, I felt some of those old school Diana Palmer vibes coming from this story and was really excited for what was to come. However, forty percent of the story takes place with Ty and Erin separated, and instead of an alpha, bulldozer hero like I usually love from this author, we get a hero who doesn't seem to ever take matters into his own hands. I loved aspects of this story and the characters, but other aspects didn't come together for me as I had hoped.
Erianne's loved Ty since she was just thirteen
But though she works for him, she never feels seen.
She's his sister's best friend and hard working, too.
When the attraction builds what should they do?
One night changes everything for these two.
A night of passion followed by a shocking discovery, too.
With grief, rejection, distrust and loss
She ends up losing her home, her job and her boss.
With anger and revenge in Ty's mind
He's determined, cruel and unkind.
Erianne flees to her cousin's ranch to stay
Can Ty ever win back her trust some day?
A story with friendship, betrayal and trust issues, too,
With possible romance and heartbreak running through.
For my complementary copy, I say thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.
Full of drama and angst. Patience is needed for this book. Mine had reached its limit about half way in. Good, Christian, moral woman meets Jacka**. Needless to say, it was a very long tribulation. Not my cuppa. Gave five stars, because this is my opinion and others may love this, just not me.
This was your typical Diana Palmer set-up - Older man who plays around and sweet virginal girl who has nothing except tragic circumstances. Said older man of course is a total judgmental a**hole, and is totally unable to just communicate. What I did like was that Erin ( heroine) actually stood up for herself. There just does not seem to be a willingness to communicate with Ms. Palmer's characters until the last chapter. There is also a lot of repetition in telling actions over and over again. Also, things are brought up that never move the story forward (ie. - a health condition).
All these inconsistences and yet I still enjoyed the book. But, I also know what I am getting into when I read a Diana Palmer book.
Received as an ARC and thank you to Netgalley
Things are tough for Erin.
Erin works for Ty, who is a player. Ty beleives speculation and Erin ends up fired and moves away, only she's also pregnant. Things just keep coming at Erin and Ty doesn't help. He's got his own issues, but kind of takes them out on Erin.
This did feel like a vintage Palmer, though.
Another great Wyoming Men story. The plotline on this book really gripped me from beginning to end. It was an easy and enjoyable read.
Diana Palmer brings us a story of Erin and Ty. Ty convinces Erin to go out with him so that her very persistent pursuer stops going after her. Devastating news keeps coming at Erin as she deals with her father. Life keeps throwing punches at her when she finds out news that will change her life and then she gets fired when Ty thinks she sold him out for money when she is wearing clothes she can't afford and her father was going around in a new car. Needing a change, she moves away to her cousin's to start over. News prompts Ty to start questioning everything he thought he knew. Because of what life keeps throwing at them, Erin and Ty must now make choices that will impact their lives. Will they be brave enough to take those chances, or have the past events hurt them too much to even try?
Diana Palmer brings us a story of love, friendship, and family. She shares with us what life can throw at us, and what we might do in the face of fear and hurt. Each decision they make has consequences that keep affecting them and those around them. Will they be able to weather the storms and work together to get through them, or will their past hurts just get in the way? I enjoyed reading Erin and Ty's story with its twists and turns. Wanting to see what happens next keeps you turning the page.
I have read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing, Canary Street Press for this privilege.
Classic Diana Palmer. Honestly, I’ve been disappointed in several of her books over the last few years but this reminded me why I’ve read dozens of her books. The writing was strong, the characters were likeable and related and the plot kept me reading.
Another enjoyable Diana Palmer book that ties together Tyson Regan Mosby and his secretary Errianne Mitchell to the books in the San Antonio and Jacobsville Texas area. You know all the characters involved in the book and each book gives more details about the characters and area. Errianne (“Erin”) is secretary to Tyson (“Ty”) at his construction company. Ty is a playboy because of problems with a female five years earlier. With problems that crop up in the company and the reports that Erin was involved cause many problems. Those problems take some hard turns but are eventually resolved. An enjoyable book that I would recommend to others.
Diana Palmer is a powerhouse author in the romance genre. I love the tie in to Wyoming that she's added in recent years.
