I did find a couple more authors to add to my authors to read. The author's I currently read it made me look forward to the book that is coming out.

Thank you to the authors, publisher and NetGalley for my eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I am a huge fan of these compilations, because they always introduce me to new authors and series.

Lots here to enjoy. There's the new Elizabeth Penney entry in the Cambridge bookshop series, a new Agatha Raisin (how have I never read one of these!), a charming food-based entry with a mystery around a prize-winning cheese by Korina Moss, and the fascinating beginning of Celeste Connally's new series of Regency-era cozies.

My only complaint, which is often my complaint about the cozy world, is that we need more diversity. I continue to look for a solid cozy series with a Black or South Asian lead. I know they are out there, and a "teaser" collection like this would be an amazing, amazing place to put one.

My winner from this collection (which has sent me off in search of its predecessors, of which there are A LOT) is Donna Andrews' Let it Crow, Let it Crow, Let it Crow. The concept of a reluctant female blacksmith getting tossed into a season of "Blades of Glory" hooked me right away, and I am looking very forward to the arrival of this one.

I was glad to receive a digital copy of this book via NetGalley with so many beloved authors on the cover.

For those who are looking for new cozy mystery series to start reading, this book is great, as it introduces a taste of about8 mystery author's' books.

For me, it was disappointing, because I know these authors, and I already either have the complete books, or are on my TBR list.

Thank you, Net Galley, and Minotaur Books for allowing me to read and review this book.

Cozy Case Files are a wonderful opportunity to sample authors' upcoming works, as well as introducing you to authors you might not know. You usually get the first few chapters which draw you into the stories, locations and people. All of these upcoming books are strong additions to the cozy genre and will provide hours of reading pleasure when you indulge. The Cozy Case Files also include short author bios, as well as a list of their past publications. Some authors, like Donna Andrews and M.C. Beaton, are well known for their long running and hugely popular series. Other authors have fewer published books and are a welcome introduction.

I love these samplers as they give a chance to get an advanced look at some authors that I read a lot. I was interested in quite a few and will now have to be waiting for them to come out.

Lots of clever whodunnits coming out this fall--I'm especially interested in finishing Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Lord. I think this will be a great new cozy mystery series.

Are you thinking about spending a comfortable afternoon this Fall curled up on the sofa, drinking tea and reading a cozy mystery? Well, hold on tight to that teacup because these eight new mysteries will have you turning the pages as fast as you can! Ever wonder what a dwile flonker is? You’ll find out in Dead on Target when events at a village fair go awry. And who knew a secret cheese recipe could lead to mayhem? Learn more in Case of the Bleus. Would you watch a reality tv show about a blacksmithing competition? You will want to after you read Let it Crow, Let it Crow, Let it Crow. These eight excerpts make you want to read more of each of these soon to be published mysteries. I’ll be curled up too, may be with a mug of Burial Grounds coffee, thanks to Catch Me if You Candy! 5 stars.

I am always thrilled to see these samplers posted. It's a fantastic way to be introduced to several new authors or the lastest offerings from authors I already know. I can usually tell pretty quickly if I'm going to enjoy a particular cozy, so having the opportunity to sample so many at once is great.
