Oozes Platt's signature charm, warmth & heart; a sweetly magical romance!
Platt plunges you straight into the action, humour and pining heart of THE MOONSTONE MAJOR as she engages your emotions straight off the bat and continues to play them like a maestro. Hooking me so deeply into who her characters are, their dreams and the kindness and compassion that drives them as she sprinkles her uniquely sweet, magically romantic dust all over them.
Submerging Fionn and Chloe into an achingly yearnful tale of all consuming love shadowed by a push and pull need to feel worthy and overcome the stomach churning desire to jump the social barriers that divide them. As Chloe attempts to heal the painful hole in his heart that shapes his pride and seeds from his rough start as an orphaned street urchin and a soul deep need to discover who he truly is.
A beautifully simple plot unravels that delights on every sense that blends an emotionally touching and heartwarming journey to embrace their feelings...cloaked in the secrets of Fionn's birth, a suspicious accident and a love that has unfurled, deepened and captivated through a friendship that has spun the past three years as he has been drawn back to Moonstone Landing.
I knew these two would be perfect for each other from first meet and I wasn't disappointed! They left me with happy tears trickling down my cheeks and a smile emblazoned on my face as their romance delightfully brings the series round full circle.
I'm hoping this isn't the last we'll hear from this idealistic Cornish village. The Angels, Lord Claymore and especially Squirrel, Ducky and Muskrat are all screaming to be heard and have peaked my curiosity no end!

This story was adorable and quite refreshing for me! It was shorter than I had anticipated, and the beginning started off quicker than I had expected (ie, essentially tossed into the story and emotions), but I ended up really liking Chloe and Fionn. Their romance was sweet, aching with pining, and a delicious romance on different societal roles and overcoming those for romance. The side characters were nice and while I had not read the previous books in the series, I was not very confused on who everyone was. I just might read more of this series! The traits in this story were also fun, especially with the supernatural tidbits, and they added unique character to this series and story.
There were a few lulls in the story, but it wasn't anything overwhelming. I really enjoyed this and will give it a re-read once I read the other stories! Check out this author and her works, you won't regret it.
Happy reading!!

Another magical Moonstone Landing story.
The youngest sister of three is Chloe who has had a crush on Major Fionn for years.
Fionn loves Chloe but suppresses his emotions because he feels unworthy.
After all, her two sisters are married: a Duke and an Earl.
But they continue to encounter each other at the cottage and the small village.
A wild storm, the secrets of Fionn’s past, and the ghosts that interfere gives them a new perspective on their future
Loved it as much as the other stories in the series.

The Moonstone Major is the third refreshingly written story of the Killigrew sisters of Moonstone landing with youngest sister Chloe leading the charge in this new book.
Chloe who is determined to marry only for love has her heart set on marriage to Major Fionn Brennan who shows no interest in her. Outward appearances in this case though are deceiving as Fionn secretly burns inside for the beautiful charmer and keeps his feelings for Chloe well hidden as he doesn’t believe himself worthy of her, so suffers in silence.
Chloe moving mountains to bring him around to seeing the error of his ways with a little assist from fate and the magic of Moonstone Landing brings this historical romance into the realms of emotion, unrequited love, secrets, and revelations that with its expertly crafted characters have made this new book another welcome read in what is a truly binge worthy series by author Meara Platt.

4 stars
I quite liked this story. The heroine has been fascinated by the hero but the hero is a working soldier and not a peer. He feels that he's beneath her and is reluctant to court her. I like a bit more passion so this is a clean story with just kisses. I felt it was a bit on and off and I suppose I would have liked an ending which didn't raise the major up socially. Having said that I liked the links to the ghost.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Super Sweet Romance.
Street urchin turned Major, Fionn Brennan doesn’t know his parentage and knows he has nothing to offer Lady Chloe, the daughter of an Earl, even though he is desperately in love with her. Chloe cares nothing for his past, only the man he has become but how to get around his pride? A lovely story, though I was surprised that after one failed attempt on Fionn’s life there were no more.

Lovely heart felt romance, beautiful characters and an enticing story. Fionn and Chloe shine, a journey of true love and another enjoyable story in Moonstone Landing.

This was such a cute regency romance! I really did enjoy the story even though there were a few points that felt a little slower. I can't wait to read more from this author!

I have thoroughly loved this little series of books and now we finish the circle with Chloe's story. We met Fionn at the end of the last book and I looked forward to his story. Fionn has no noble background having been abandoned as a baby, he grew up in incredible hardship making him feel undeserving of Chloe who is the daughter of an Earl. I grew to love all the characters surrounding the Killigrew sisters, and in a series of only a few books is an admirable feat. This series introduced me to Meara Platt and I fully intend to read others written by her. These stories are a gentle, slightly supernatural and extremely romantic. I urge any reader fond of historical romances to read this series, beginning with the two novellas introducing Aunt Hen and the Sea Captain. A very deserving five stars, well written and edited. Grateful thanks to Dragon blade publishing and Netgalley for an ARC of The Moonstone Major

I have loved this series from the first short story I read from it. Moonstone Major is (I'm 90% sure) my favorite from the series. The 90% is because I have so enjoyed all of the books so I'm pretty sure I would tell you my favorite is whichever one I just finished reading. We got an introduction to Chloe and Fionn in the previous book and I was pretty sure (and really hoped) they would be the couple in this final book. I loved Chloe's unwavering belief that she and Fionn were meant to be together and how she continued to work to convince him of that even when he was at his most stubborn. His reasons for not believing he was good enough for her made sense, especially for this time in history, so I forgave him for some of his actions. I was glad that Fionn was already coming the conclusion that he would be miserable without Chloe prior to them being stranded together during the storm. I would have hated him having to offer marriage and then always carry that guilt that he had somehow taken away her choices. I also loved that Chloe confronted him about his reluctance to get a special license because it was how she had handled everything else between her and Fionn throughout the novel. I did feel bad for him when he explained what was going on with him because it made perfect sense. One thing missing from this novel that I would have liked was to find out what his uncle had written in the letter - I really wanted to know why he had done what he had done. I also wasn't sure why there wasn't more mentioned about Phoebe's or Hen's twins - a lot is mentioned about Ella and Imogen, but Chloe's nieces are barely mentioned. Having Fionn be connected to the sea captain kind of brought the series full circle too. I'm assuming this was the final book in the series, but I wouldn't mind finding out if Lord Claymore ever found a bride.

What a delightful story for Chloe and Fionn. It was grand to see them matured from previous books. Watching the ghosts pull their shenanigans once again is always a joy. Wanted to slap Fionn silly for all his prideful attitudes, but being an honorable man, even with his extremely hard start in life, made him quite the hero! Would have loved to have seen more about the villains setback and fall from grace, and could only think that Chloe’s assumptions were correct. Once again, the author writes well developed characters, both primary and secondary, as well as a great story. Not sure if there are anymore Moonstone Landing stories, but I will miss this cute village if it is!
I received this ARC copy for free and these are my own opinions.

Drawn to the town as well as to Chloe who he met several years earlier, Major Fionn Brennan is happy to command a fort and build a hospital in Moonstone Landing. Though he has come a long way from an orphan in the streets of London, he never forgets his roots. Feeling he is not good enough for Chloe, he tries to resist his attraction to her. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for my honest review.

The Moonstone Major by Meara Platt is the third in this series and they continue to be good reads. This book is about the youngest sister, Chloe Killigrew, who is currently living with her sister and brother-in-law because she was judged too young to live in Moonstone Cottage by her self. She still loves the place and is thrilled that Major Fionn Brennan has leased the place. Truth be told, he leased it to be close to Chloe. He was in Moonstone to oversee construction of a military hospital but had been in love with her since the first time he’d seen her when she was only fifteen years of age. He knew he could never have her. She was the daughter of an earl and he was an orphan without even a real name, just one he’s been assigned. He was not looking forward to the day when she married another man and he had to bear witness to her happiness.
The plot is almost non-existent and what there is is based on the ghost of a sea captain who used to live in Moonstone Cottage. It is fun, though. Fionn is a good character. Kind, considerate, and helpful. The ideal man except for expectations he puts on himself. Chloe is still young, but sweet. She is just as independent and outspoken as her sisters, and for that reason, both her brothers-in-law tend not to cross her. There are outside forces trying to prevent the relationship from blooming. Fionn has never had any lack of female attention and there is a young lord looking for a wife that could complicate matters. It is a fun read, as are all Platt’s books. I recommend it.

This is a well written story which is action packed, emotionally charged, and with trust, humor, witty banter and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and steamy addictive page turner.
