A quick read on Christian discipleship. Provides a deep dive into the path of following Jesus and the importance of being a prophet. I enjoyed all the personal stories within the writing, it kept my attention. Would recommend to any fellow Christian.

This is a great addition to contemporary spiritual formation literature in the stream of Willard, Ortberg, Comer, Smith, etc. I love the climbing imagery, as I think it highlights two essential elements to discipleship: the necessity of “acclimating” to new life with God and the necessity of “sequencing” as we grow in discipleship. As a pastor, this is the kind of book I could easily hand to people asking me for next steps in their spiritual formation.
