Adorable! Loved the kawaii drawings, the animals names especially Taro, too cute! Cupcakes being a vehicle for icing cracked me up. I loved their little friendship!

Pocket Peaches is an absolutely adorable graphic novel about a bunny named Peaches who wants to befriend a new, mysterious cat in town, Taro. The artwork is all soft pastels and rounded lines and everything about it and the story feels gentle. I did have a bit of a difficult time figuring out who this story would be for - all of the characters seem like adults, but the simpleness of the plot seems more suited to younger readers. A great read if you're in the mood for something cute, wholesome, and not too complicated.

Pocket Peaches is a visually captivating middle grade graphic novel that stands out with its vibrant illustrations. The story of Peaches and her mysterious new friend, Taro, is filled with charming moments that will surely bring smiles to young readers' faces. The cozy and feel-good vibes make it a perfect read for anyone seeking a heartwarming read. While it's undoubtedly tailored for a much younger audience, its universal themes of friendship and kindness make it a pleasant experience for readers of all ages.

This review was made possible via an ARC on NetGalley.

Pocket Peaches is a cute, short read about trying to befriend the new kid in town and not knowing where to start. The art was cute and the color scheme and round shapes lent to a cozy vibe. Peaches is a sweet MC into the magical girl (magical cats) genre who wants to be friends with Taro, who wears a dark hood and is into horror. Peaches' awkwardness around Taro in an effort to become friends was very realistic as was the desire to match interests to a potential friend.

The cupcake/frosting ratio scene was super cute and I can see young kids pulling it out and arguing about which side of the argument they are on (I'm on Team Frosting is an Accessory).

This is just the most charming, cozy graphic novel that I've ever read. The font is dyslexia friendly, which is a huge bonus, and the illustrations are beautiful; of such high quality and with a lovely pastel pallet. This book is suitable for older child or adult alike, I got a lot of comfort and joy from reading this book!

Review to come on September 20th on my blog and also on Goodreads/amazon.

I received this book from Netgalley/the publisher in exchange of an honest review.

This was an adorable and sweet graphic novel and boy I am happy that I had the chance to read it! In this one we meet Peaches, a cute adorable bunny living in a pretty dang adorable world! Peaches meets a new, potential, friend and she is more then eager to find out what makes her tick. She has a book that she needs to bring back so she has a way to make conversation. Which we all know isn't always easy when meeting a potential new friend! It was really adorable to see Peaches try to find Taro and try to get that conversation started! And what will Peaches do, because if you think this should just be an OK thing, well Taro loves all things spooky and scary (zombies, horror, gore, let's go) but Peaches loves magical girls and cute frilly things. Yep, you can see the problem, right? I was curious what Peaches would do, would she go for honesty? Or really be so desperate to make a new friend that she would make up things? The answer is the last one and I was just shaking my head and go, oh no Peaches. Be honest!

But, I loved that Peaches was able to ask Taro if she wanted to come for a sleepover/movie marathon. I was curious how that movie marathon would go. Peaches is not the only one not into horror, haha. I was also hoping very much that she would be able to confess, to be honest, to let Taro know that she wants to be friends but wasn't into the spooky stuff. I won't spoil much, but I will say I loved what happens near the end, that made me smile!

The art in this one is just so cute, really, it is way too cute. You just want to step into the book and be enveloped in the cute and soft! The colours are all soft and sweet. I love them.

All in all, a sweet book about being honest, about friendship, and about having a good time! I would recommend it.

I really needed a cute, cosy read, and this very much delivered. It's short but super sweet, with a lovely message about friendship. The character art and use of colour were truly so adorable. I would love an extensive series about these characters, following them in their daily lives.

Perfect for fans of Hello Kitty, or Pusheen, this little story about making a new friend is sweet, and heartfelt, with a large helping of cute. Adorably kawaii characters with nods to cupcakes and magical girls mean this is sure to capture the attention of the cute-loving crowd. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the advance digital copy for review.

This was so adorable! I really loved the illustrations and each character’s expressions. The story was a great way to show that you can have many interests and no one is just one thing. I definitely laughed a few times at a character’s reactions.

It also must be mentioned that the proper cupcake to icing ratio is 1:1 so you can make an icing sandwich.

Really cute for a young audience and a fun, short read for other ages.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for review.

Thank you NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for a copy of Pocket Peaches!

"Peaches and her pals Mango and Pogi all live in a cozy town called Pocketon. When a new cat, Taro, moves in, Peaches is on a mission to befriend her. The only thing is, Taro loves all things spooky and Peaches does not. Can Peaches find a way to become friends despite their differences★"

How adorable is this?! Young readers will definitely enjoy this story and the artwork. They might even want to live in Pocketon--like me!

Pocket Peaches is a warm, fuzzy comic about a bunny trying to make friends with the new animal in town. Nothing in this story is original or heavy, but that's part of its charm. Pocket Peaches is like the book equivalent of a warm hug after a long day. Despite its obvious lesson about dishonesty, the story will appeal to anyone who loves adorable illustrations and the magic of friendship.
