4,5⭐️
I am a sucker for a good cutesy romance. and this is one of them. The opening phrase was amazing and their meet cute left me blushing and jumping all over the room. This was an amazing read tbh, i loved it!!
I gave it 4,5⭐️ because of not being first person and because of the miscommunications between the characters, although my favorite parts were definitely when they were together. Quinn and Elle have such a cute story, ugh i want one like theirs.
It's a slow burn over the space of 4 years, dual pov (which i love in books) and dual timeline, the past and the present, which can be confusing to get all the ideas straight, even though they are all "marked".
When you read the ending, your perspective on the book will definitely change. I was so glad to see that Elle stopped caring about people's expectations and focused on her and her happiness, for once.
It was very fast paced and although i prefer 1st person reads but it was clear who was speaking.
Overall i loved See you next fall and i will definitely get more books from this author.
Thank you to NetGalley and Annabelle McCormack for giving me an arc of this amazing book! :)
P.s: as Taylor Swift would say "you know I love a London boy" (this song was literally written for this book)

What an ABSOLUTE joy this book was! Technically a friends to lovers trope, but felt like so much more than that. Elle and Quinn meet through a funny coincidence then go on to live very colorful and rich lives for the next 5 years, meeting occasionally in the Fall. This book speaks to themes of growing up and falling in love in refreshing and novel ways that, to be honest, I wasn’t expecting from an also delectably spicy novel.

This is the cutest friends-to-lovers story!!! The story was written so well that I honestly felt like I knew the characters. They were so relatable!! This is my first read by this author, but it will not be my last! Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

What a heartwarming book! I'm definitely gonna read other books of this author.

- Main characters were a combination of childish and mature which is my favourite. Loved both of them. I really thought the MMC was going to be some playboy type after the first kiss. But he wasn't at all.
- Lots of love to Taryn for understanding the FMC and helping her at the last minutes. And Fiona too, what a lovely girl she is!
- I love slow burns, specially when it's not for some silly reasons but for relatable and realistic problems/misunderstandings.
- Most of the slow burns are too lengthy unnecessarily (my opinion), but the author managed to give the feel of a slow burn without making it boring.
- Last but not the least, there are only a few books that had made me cry and it's one of them. (To future readers, don't forget to grab the tissues 🤧)

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for providing me a free eARC of the book in exchange of an honest review.

I enjoyed this quite a bit. The chemistry they had from page one was really good. They had a really adorable meet cute and I wish they could have been together the whole time. I do feel like I wanted more at the end. I needed to see them more as an actual couple.

I received an arc through netgalley.

This book combined two of my favorite things: romance and Fall! This sweet tale was told over the course of four Falls. Elle and Quinn are coming into adulthood and trying to navigate their family obligations while finding their passions and paths in life. I laughed, I cried, and I felt satisfyingly frustrated with both characters at some points during the story.

I mean who doesn’t want a week of Fall bliss with a Fancy Pants viscount? Sign me up! Their meet cute and friendship was as adorable as a flannel blanket on a hayride. The burn was slow like a warm candle and there was a dash of pumpkin spice. The ending wasn’t quite what I expected but still the perfect cozy fall read!

Thank you to Annabelle McCormack and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of the book!

OH MY FALLEN STARS!!! Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for granting me access to this book in exchange for an honest review.

What a sweet and adorable contemporary romance with some of my favorite tropes! It has your friends to lovers, opposites attract, slow burn, dual timeline, dual POV and guy falls first and is filled with pining, angst, tension, banter, chemistry, spice, romance and wonderful secondary characters. I absolutely loved this book so much🩵🩵!! Once I started reading I literally could not put it down! This is my first read by Annabelle McCormack and I am a huge fan already. The author has a way of making you feel so invested in the characters that I could not help but root for Elle and Quinn. They were such real and relatable characters. I found myself smiling, laughing, crying and swooning! If you enjoy Emily Henry books you will love this one! I cannot recommend this book enough!! One of my favorite reads for 2023!! 🍁

Elle and Quinn become best friends after a meet cute experience at a conference they both attended four years ago. They agree to a standing vacation together the first week in October every year. However, ground rules are established in a contract they both agree to and sign. The simple rules are complete honesty and just friends with no strings attached. Elle lives in Tennessee and Quinn's home is in England so the rules make total sense. But what happens when their connection becomes stronger and the feelings run deeper? Will they break the rules knowing that it could change everything?

Overall, it was the cutest friends to lovers story ever! I definitely plan to buy the physical copy for my personal library. Do yourself a favor and read this book! ALL the stars!! 💫💫💫💫💫

I was given this book free from NetGalley for an honest review.

This book follows the lives of Elle Winnick and Quinn Camden, who first meet when he finds her asleep in a storage closet, they meet later on and this then begins their story of friendship and love. They arrange to meet every fall there after this but not without some trials and tribulations. This book also has great characters like Hunter and Taryn who feature throughout this book, it also includes great characters from each other’s families. I would highly recommend this book as it’s beautiful, even with its highs and lows it warms the heart.

See You Next Fall by Annabelle McCormack was a enthralling friends-to-lovers contemporary romance story that was both heartwarming and so much fun!
I absolutely adored Elle and Quinn.
The witty banter between the main characters was awesome.
I absolutely loved the chemistry between these two. It felt real and natural. It was great to see them grow together as the pages turned.
There was so much to love here and I’m looking forward to McCormack’s next phenomenal title.

See you next Fall is a sweet and spicy romance that begins with a chance encounter in a broom closet that blooms into a friendship that reunites Quinn and Ellie every fall. While initially they both agree that friendship is as far as they are willing to go, their attraction to each other in undeniable. Are they willing to take the next step and risk it all?

See you Next Fall was such a fun and emotional read to ring in the season. I was rooting for the two characters the whole way! Definitely would recommend to anyone who loves a friends to lovers romance and the fall season!

This book is a friends to lovers contemporary romance and honestly, I'm a little in love with it. As a single person, I have a love/hate relationship with super sweet romances because duh. But this one had me feeling all of the feels. 😍 Seriously, this was adorable. I didn't even mind the cheesy gimmicks which normally make me cringe. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy the friends to lovers trope!

This will be posted to Instagram on 8/20/23 and I will share it again on the publishing date.

This was a cute strangers to friends to lovers story, set over alternating timelines and dual POVs. I enjoyed the writing and liked the 2 main characters, I was rooting for them throughout.
Maybe my expectations were wrong but from the title and the cover I was expecting more autumn vibes and that part fell completely flat for me. Also I’m obviously biased being a Brit myself, but the British dialogue and language used didn’t sound convincing at all, I think I would have much preferred the story had it not had any British characters or setting!

True rating is 4.5 ⭐️

This book took me by surprise! I don’t typically love the friends to lovers to strangers to lovers trope but this book made me a fan. Something about it was so heartfelt and genuine! I loved both the FMC & MMC - they both tugged at my heart strings and had me rooting for them.

My only gripe is that the ending felt rushed, but maybe I just didn’t want the book to end 😜

Friends to lovers romance books are always a hit, and See You Next Fall is no different!

Elle & Quinn don’t have the most usual meetcute! After agreeing to be just friends, they agree to have a standing arrangement where they meet up in the same place once a year.

I really enjoyed that this book was a dual POV (although I do usually prefer a first person book) and it was easy to follow along.

If you love slowburn, friends to lovers and dual timeline, this is the book for you!

I will definitely be picking up another book by Annabelle in the future.

Five out of five stars!!

I am so in love with their story, the book, the characters everything! I wasn’t ready for it to end. I am an absolute sucker for grand gestures and this book nailed them!! Elle and Quinn met on accident in a closet, and didn’t think much of it. Then plans don’t go as they were supposed to and they try and make up for it the same time next year. However, obstacles keep getting in their way. Will they find a way through? You have to read to find out!

I would have loved to see a little more emotion and feeling and “fall vibes” and a little less miscommunication! If the couple would’ve have a conversation early in the book it would’ve saved a bunch of years of trouble! Still cute and I loved how Quinn dropped anything for Elle!

Im IN LOVE with this book!!!

Summary: This story follows the friendship of Quinn and Elle, who met under unique circumstances and found themselves writing a contract to meet again the first week of October the following year. As life has other ideas, their plans are thwarted and they have to accommodate. As their friendship grows so do other unexpected feelings. Living “across the pond” from each other holds them to their agreement of only meeting the first week of October until they have to decide if that’s really enough.

I can’t say one bad thing about this book. Normally I’m not a huge fan of third person writing, but I loved this story so much that I couldn’t have cared less.

I’m trying to wrap my mind around my thoughts for this book but I just have so many! The characters are funny and downright lovable. Their instant friendship is so well written that I felt a part of the friendship and not like I was reading it from the outside. They both discovered so much about each other and themselves along the way. They found their true callings in life as well as their true love and partner as well. The emotions I felt at the end had me on the verge of tears and I could feel what Elle felt and I wanted nothing more than for it to all work out. The author wrote each beautiful and heartbreaking moment perfectly and I could not get enough of this story. I want to forget this book so I can read it again and again.

Elle Winnick is exhausted, which is how she finds herself in a supply closet, catching some sleep before a collegiate conference in Washington, D.C. When she is abruptly woken up by a stranger entering her closet to hide from a woman, the last thing she expects is to have the best kiss of her life. Thus begins the friendship of Elle and Quinn. She is a busy pre-med student from Nashville and he is seated to take over his father’s company in England. Their friendship should not work, yet when the pair is together, magic happens. Deciding to keep their relationship platonic, Elle and Quinn make a pact to keep in touch throughout the year and meet once a year at the location that brought them together. As the two uncover more about each other, they must decide if they are willing to risk their deep bond to pursue an earth-shattering romance.

If you enjoyed People We Meet on Vacation, you should pick up a copy of See You Next Fall. Both novels begin in the present with a brief glimpse of conflict before the stories unfold. This is a dual perspective, friends to lovers novel with a slight amount of steam that you can easily skip and is a great autumnal novel that will be sure to leave you wanting to break out your cozy sweaters.

Overall, I enjoyed this book, especially the friendship development between Elle and Quinn. With that being said, the pacing felt a bit off. It was clear from the first chapter that something happened between the two and the storyline would have benefited a bit more with longer times spent in the present, preventing the ending from feeling so rushed and somewhat forced. Being in the past so much made the story not fully absorb as having brief scenes of developing friendship/romance and present scenes of conflict and a stronger resolution. Having more time in Quinn’s perspective would have allowed the reader to see his feelings develop more organically. One page, Quinn is telling Elle he will always love her and the next he is engaged, but then he can so easily break off said engagement. This is someone he was considering building a life with. The fact that Quinn was engaged really hindered the romance that the author was trying to craft throughout the novel. It would not have left such a negative taste if he had simply had a girlfriend and maybe we got some scenes where he doubted that relationship, but that is solely one reader’s opinion.

⭐ Overall Rating: 3.5 / 5 stars | 🌶️ Spicy Rating: 2 / 5

💞Read this if you enjoy:
-Dual POV romances ❤️💙
-Stories that jump between timelines 🕰️
-Super slow burn 🔥
-Friends to lovers trope 👫
-Across the Pond romances

📖Snapshot:
Elle is a bright and talented girl from Nashville who’s trying to figure out life. Quinn is an English viscount who accepts that his life is one of duty. They have nothing in common, yet when they meet, they instantly hit it off. They become long distance best friends who agree to meet up in the first week of October each year. Their friendship is tested over the years by family, relationships, duty, dreams, and their simmering feelings for one another.

💭 My Thoughts:
What I loved: See You Next Fall was a super cute friend to lovers romance. I loved the contrast between Quinn’s stereotypical “reserved & dry Brit” and Elle’s open American girl persona. These 2 characters could not be more different than each other on paper, yet he author was able to create delicious chemistry between them. I also appreciated that the author got the characters together without making one of the characters change who they are in order to be with the other.

What I didn’t love: I think the “now” timeline needed more page time to hash out the changes the characters went through in each of their lives to get to their happy ending. As the reader, Quinn’s passion felt like it was out of left field, and I wasn’t really sure what Elle wanted exactly with her life until the very end.

Overall I liked this. I was happy with the somewhat shorter length and the time jumps back and forth. I’m a huge fan of friends to lovers and this did deliver on that mutual will they won’t they pining.

But, there was way too much miscommunication in this. It was frustrating. Like are y’all actually close friends or no?? This is very specific but I had a huge issue with a particular scene early on in a hotel lobby. Trying to spare the spoiler here but it is highly unrealistic for a person to be able to have a long somewhat normal conversation with the way they were dressed. A normal person would immediately get help from a person they knew when they ran into them and say “I will explain but I need you to get me out of here right now”. I guess it was supposed to be slapstick comedy but it really took me out of the story and I was never truly able to reconnect with the characters in a grounded way.

There were side characters I loved in this and they helped propel the story forward. And the time jumps kept me invested so overall I’d cautiously recommend. Thank you to NetGalley and victory co-op for this ARC!
