I’ve always been a huge fan of Melanie Summers books so when I saw this one an knewbI had to immediately check it out! The dedication to Jennifer Aniston was chefs kiss as well! I loved the character of Courtney ai thought she was extremely relatable and Melanie captured Hollywood expectations and pressures perfectly.
Enter Damien the handsome ex military man who is trying to carve out his dreams post service and gets assigned to be Courtney’s bodyguard after her husband cheats on her. Everyone loves a sexy bodyguard nd this book did not disappoint. It was well written, the romance was a perfect steamy slow burn, and the ending was perfect! Readers are definitely going to check this one out and be anxiously looking for Melanie’s next book!

A Hollywood Ending is very melodramatic. This soap opera features a starlet, Courtney, who learns that her superstar husband is cheating and plans to divorce her for a younger actress. She's abandoned in Colorado by her support team with only her bodyguard, Damien, to help. Instead of allowing her to succumb to tears, Damien forces her to pick herself up, think strategically, and train physically. There are lots of villains in addition to the ex. With few resources and many obstacles, Courtney studies the art of war to figure out how to defeat many obstacles. The plot's fairly simplistic.

I really wanted a fun, light romance to read and I really liked the premise of this book from the description. I really wanted to love this book, but I stopped reading at about 30%. I think the author does a good job of writing the scenes. I could actually see this making a decent movie based on what I read. However, I feel like as far as I got into the book, I should have felt a connection to the characters and I didn't. Caring about the characters is really important to me which is why this book didn't do it for me. I think readers who are looking for a light, quick read will still enjoy this book, but I think readers who like a book that more than surface should skip.

This was a sweet romance. It was fantastic to watch Courtney’s strength through her struggles with the help from Damien. Glad we got to meet two other strong women in Miranda and Dawn. It’s a quick, fun read. Somethings worked out a bit too conveniently, but can definitely be forgiven for the creativity of this story. I love seeing new technology and culture pop up. In this story, deep fakes and cyber security definitely play an important role in a way I haven’t seen done in books before.

Courtney is America's sweetheart until her husband left her for a younger actress. She hides in a cabin with her new bodyguard and finds herself drawn to him.

Love Damien and Courtney together. Courtney goes through so much and still maintain her dignity. Damien is so kind and so thoughtful. So much chemistry and steamy scenes too. Terrific romance.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

This was cute! Damien was just a tough too nice to be real, but that’s part of the charm of you are in the mood for a cinnamon role hero

I'm a little conflicted about this one. The overall story was an enjoyable read, but there were a few aspects that didn't appeal to me.

Courtney and Damien were likable characters and really sold the bodyguard trope. She definitely lacked self esteem at first, but he was definitely the guy to help her find it once again. It was very sweet to see how they built each other up and encouraged each other to push themselves to accomplish what seemed impossible at first. Damien was so incredibly supportive of Courtney and gave her something that she hadn't experienced before: someone truly believing in her. And in return, she went out of her way to show him that he was worthy of support. In addition, they pushed each other out of the other's comfort zone.

Unfortunately, there were a few factors that resulted in my rating:
- Early on, it felt like there was something missing - specifically the buildup to the chemistry. Once they did get together you could definitely see it, but at first it felt like the whole element was missing.
- Brock was predictably a weak and awful OM, but I wish that there had been more oomph to him getting what he deserved.
- My rating dropped from 4 to 3 ⭐️ solely because of that Epilogue. Considering where Courtney was where she started, it seemed a little implausible.
